Wake island. The last stand. There are only 50 tickets remaining. The final objective has almost been captured. This song kicks in. Both teams synchronously leave their covers and rush the last objective. Gotta love those moments

Tim Zerby 2142 was supremely underrated in nearly all aspects
The soundtrack was godlike and the EU wasn’t a joke like it is today. It made me proud to be a German.

@@kaiserkiefer1760 Admit it, the Krylov was OP lol. But there was a community that revived the game for a bit before they got a cease and desist from DICE and EA for giving out free, unauthorized copies of the game (look at that, a business opportunity they passed up). I was playing it for a bit and back in the day I was mediocre at best but I ripped that game up. I think I had an average KD of like 5 or something on the ground. A lot of the people in that game who weren't familiar with how jank those games can be would regularly call even the decent players hackers.
But that aside that game was damn fun and it needs a resurgence. Just the right amount of future.
I was playing breakthrough on wake island. I was in the defense team, we were on our last flag and the enemy had less than 10 tickets left. But they managed to take control of the flag (But not fully) with 0 ticket, this music came in while my team was attempting to retake the flag. But the enemy kept retaking the flag with the music still on for like 2 minutes. We managed to win the game and it was one of the most epic bf moment for me

I was German side. about 60 respawns left vs 400 allied.
Came down a massive push back of them retreating to their spawns amd us pushing em back.
we won 10-0
I played that on bridge map, I was on the American team and it was about to end. We had the objective on the right side but not on the left so our squad devised a plan. I rode in a tank while the other guy with me were on the bridge and some other soldiers, while the other 2 flanked the German side and we took the objective. Greatest match ever
same but 5 frickin minutes they keep contesting te flag its absolutely annoying

I think this track from 1:06 to 1:14 is the only time we have heard the Battlefield theme resolve in the traditional way rather than BF1 way since the launch of BF1.

I remember the first time i played wake island, this kicked in as we moved toward the final sector, as we took it, the theme ended and the classic battlefield theme blared in the background, one of the most cinematic events i’ve ever experienced in a video game
I like how they made an effort to reference previous Battlefield games to make vets happy.
Except the vets all stopped playing after BF4, so, the only people who heard this were new players or the few veterans still kicking around on RUclips.
When your in a game where the two teams are so evenly matched that it goes on for an hour
Hearing this for the first time on Wake Island was a beautiful moment.
Adding this type of music to the end of the round was such a good move by the developers. Perfect for 1 last push

When I load up the game and hear this music, I immediately wait until the song is over to play
Battlefield war in the pacific brings me back to the old days of battlefield 1943, where planes fought in the sky or bombing the ground, then you had tanks and infantry duke it out for 5 flags or control points, the fun part was the bombing raids where bombers came in to carpet bomb and you either shot them down or ran for cover, back then, at the end of every round, the map was just gone, few times a building remain intact. It was a fun game to play, one of the best in my opinion
The first time I land on that Island was in 2142 with Walkers, Tanks, and Aircraft. The future it's pretty awesome.

After listening to BF1 and BFV(MAIN) theme this one gave me the most chills. Like damn they nailed it with the Wake Island theme

This puts you in the mindset of whatever country your playing for, turns boys into men, fighting for the last objective as both teams tickets trickle past the 50 mark each life matters as you fight for the objectives, tanks blow up around you, corsairs whistle over head, aa guns light up, men scream
Its really interesting how they mix the more tribal and American instruments, almost making the song feel like a battle itself.

A lot more people using cover instead of going prone. Close range visibility addressed. Less across the map deaths. More ptfo-ing.
Tough to see where the actual problem is.
@@edwardsantiago9109 The thing is that some weapons just become trash. The average engagement range is about 20-40 meters so 30% of that time the SMGs and some mag fed lmgs such as LS26 and FG42 become absolutely garbage. They shouldve added more recoil to guns, not decrease the lethality of them.
There are some good things about this change, for example the things you listed, but making specific guns completely useless in over 30m range wasnt honestly a good solution.
@@jrh7178 at 30 meters most smgs are still at a 7 btk, which won't win much in a head-on engagement, but should they? With clever movement, aim, and utilization of cover you should still be able to survive.
Maybe not always kill, but then if you could, why use anything else? (Suomi/Thompson from pre 5.2 exhibited this)
If you don't want to play very close, why use an SMG in the first place? There are other guns, and some of which (MAB38) Excel at those medium 20-40 meter ranges.
If you have access to NA servers I'd be more than willing to squad up with you to show you how good these weapons can be
@@edwardsantiago9109 at 30-40 meters most smgs and fg42+ls 26 do something like 9-11 damage (10-11 BTK) which is ridiculously low. I dont like it at all that they decreased the lethality of those guns. If they want to prevent people using they shouldve buffed the recoil. In that case you would still be able to kill people with 6-7 bullets from medium range with semi auto (SMGs and FG42 + LS) and that would be realistic and much more enjoyable.
