Great Video! Interesting, with the new Light Rail Stop Signs, how the 'Chalmers St' is a smaller font than the 'Central'. I wonder why this might be. Glad they are rolling out the signs progressively to all other stops. :)
Hey, I was thinking that you should do a video on the ski tube (perisher and blue cow) in NSW as it's then highest railway in australia! Love ur vids bro (also it closes in the spring holidays until next winter)
I’m questioning about the new light rail. I’ve noticed that there are overhead wires in areas like Central Chalmers Street and surrounds but I’ve also noticed how there’s no overheads at all. Does the light rail get powered both by the overhead and the strip of metal at the centre of the track? If so, I find that pretty cool. I wonder where the conversion happens (where it changes from overheads to metal strip or possibly a type of third rail)...
The metal strip is the third rail as part of the "APS" system. It powers the tram when it's not using overhead wires, but it only comes on when a tram is above it, so not to electrocute pedestrians and animals walking over it.
looks like its underground. pity its not. if Brafield, finish what he started, we'd have trains running throughout, the eastern suburbs. plus heading up through the Balmain area. by now the line could be all the way too Parrammatta, via Victoria Rd or something like that.
Hi Phil,
I really enjoy your vlogs you inspired me to do my train videos on my channel.
Keep it up!
Much appreciated

Can you film circular quay to town hall please
Yes I think the mess that George St is in would be a quality presentation
@9:32 again, the light rail has a horn? (I know, I kept asking about that.)
I hope those pedestrians were looking out for the testing trams.
On your next vlog can u please do central under ground station not the light rail
He has quite a large video archive, just search for "Central" on his channel page and you should find some videos.
No I can’t find any Milan z
@@ness4701 he's filming the LRV testing to show us how well it's going.
@8:51 pedestrians look out, there’s a light rail coming!
Ayy.. the signs are up.
First!
It’s not even driverless, so expensive and so ugly infrastructures. Nothing a bus cannot do. Big fail
