    what a machine, rolls royce craftmanship in the build, the faster it goes the smoother it glides, was thinking about your right leg on the pipes but great for winter, loving the low seat, could really get use to this but the BHP would get the better of me, not cheap but quality comes at a premium, Triumph have done a great overhaul of the previous Rocket's which were bulky and not very easy on the eye, this should sell well with the older rider.

    Nice to see how the Rocket 3 has evolved, I had a test ride on one of the early versions, for such a big bike I found it very 'flickable' due to the incredibly low centre of gravity with that huge motor.
    This latest version looks lovely, but for where I live now completely impracticle.
    Nice review.

    It's such a sexy looking bike. Just a beast !!!! The issue I am having is the price of it, out the door naked. By the time you add options for more of a practical commute ride, it ends up the price of a new Goldwing DCT Tour. With my calculation, I ended up with the GW. if you get the Rocket GT, look at Corbin accessories. Wonderful adds on, but not cheap.

    • @MOTOUK1

    MotoUK, if you had your choice between this bike and the 2022 Hayabusa which one would you choose as an everyday rider? Personally, for me, i've gone through all the motorcycles that I wanted; everything from ducati panigale V4S, streetfighter V4, MV Agusta Brutale 1000RS, etc...and I boiled it down to the hayabusa and Rocket 3R due to me being a height of 6'3" tall....

    • @MOTOUK1
      @MOTOUK1  Год назад +1

      Neither both too big for an everyday, if I had to choose the rocket 3 though

    A very informative video as per usual.
    Not my type of bike either, I would much prefer your MT10SP.
    When you go to the show this weekend, I would appreciate any info you can get on when and what Yamaha are doing for the MT10 replacement or upgrade.
    I hope they are not going to drop the 4 cylinder for a 3 cylinder supercharged or Turbo.

    I was hoping that they made a full blown 2 up touring model of this bike. They don't seem to be selling here in Canada, I have yet to see one on a highway. They made a touring model of the Rocket 3 that you see now and again in Canada. But without a Fairing and proper pillion comforts there is no way the wife is getting on the back of this !!!! Lovely countryside!!!!

    • @MOTOUK1
      @MOTOUK1  3 года назад

      Most touring in Europe is done on adventure bikes these days. The rocket 🚀 is powerful you would lose the wife off the back 😆

      Beats me why Triumph doesn't make a fixed fairing bagger based on the R3. Compete with Harley and Indian, BMW . 🇦🇺

  • @wayneeden98
    @wayneeden98 2 года назад +1

    The windshield fairing absolutely seriously needs to be bigger like the one the engineers of Harley davidson put on the pan American, they have an 18inch tall ,everyone has their own opinion of how much wind you are caring to put up with, everyone should know just because it comes out of the factory that way, doesn't necessarily mean that the factory options are written in gospel stone, your the customer owner motorcyclist, somethings can be switched out, your decision's are closer to being written in than you might think, it's your bike ,your imagination does have a lot of answers

    The feet forward thing, like a chair, is the best riding position for doing distance. Big bikes with wide handlebars like this handle as good as they are going to without sticking one's heels up their butt too.

    • @enntense
      @enntense 3 года назад +2

      I'm going to have to disagree. This puts all of your weight on your ass, with no shock being picked up by your legs. It also makes you have to stress your lower back and arms more to stay upright in the wind blast. It's comfortable, but not long term. I'd still have to say the best long range position is more akin to a Ducati Multistrada/BMW GS upright tall position with your feet under your frame.

    • @saddle8bag
      @saddle8bag 3 года назад +1

      @@enntense I can lift myself up on my touring croozers if I see a bump coming. Really no different on a GS. If you don't see the bump and don't brace your legs to take the impact, it's coming thru the seat.
      I find both types of bikes comfortable, but I'm short and fit touring croozers much better. And for whatever reason, I find that riding position the most comfortable.

    • @enntense
      @enntense 3 года назад +1

      @@saddle8bag Ah, I understand. I'm tall, and that probably influences my perspective.
