I just watched this and loved how organised your fridge is! Very random request but I would love to see how your organise your fridge, store food etc xxx
So so so so amazing to hear you talk about about meat consumption. I'm a vegan and it's really refreshing to see more RUclipsrs talking about it, and especially great to see you using non-dairy products in your smoothie :)
Thank you. Thank you so much for buying reusable straws Anna. You are amazing, you have this great platform with half a million people watching and you are encouraging people to buy something small that will make a massive impact. I'm from Canada and recently found out that 57 million plastic straws are thrown out here every DAY like what the hell!!! I recently bought metal straws because of it and love to see other people doing the same, you have always been one of my favourites but that right there made me respect the absolute hell out of you. Thanks again. Much love
I loved this video! Really relaxed but thank you for teaching us about cooking, food, fitness AND the environment! Your dinner with friends looked incredible
I love this video so much! i absolutely love your sense of style and the way you decorate your home, and even though this video wasn't focused on that, I still loved seeing little glimpses of your space!
I’m so happy you addressed your meat consumption and also the fact it’s dramatically reduced your food bill as a lot of people have the assumption it’s more expensive. Is this what happens when you spend time with Lauren? 😏 I’ve been Vegan since January and Veggie for 8/9 years before that so this brings me a lot of joy to hear another person is making some changes!!
I'm a Pilates instructor in Canada and I love the way you described it and it's benefits for you! I get asked it all the time and your response was just so concise and eloquent!
I loved this! So pleased to hear you are going more veggie! I have been vegetarian for 20 years this year - started when I was 9 going to be 29 this year 😱 and it gets to the point where you just don’t even consider meat as an option anymore. Also so excited for at home with! 😍
I learnt this week to not refrigerate tomatoes as it changes an enzyme in them that effects the taste. Not sure how I feel about that as it’s just tidier somehow to bung them in the salad drawer but I’m going to give it a go. Lx
Hi Anna, I found your recipes really inspiring, but what really caught my eye was your cook book collection! I would love to hear your thoughts on which ones you use the most and which recipes are your favorites etc. Xx
I always love watching your videos, they're so calming and make me feel so chilled when watching them!! I 100% want to try making some of that bread and also the frittata - they both looked amazing!! Wish you did one of these videos every week because I just love them so much :)
Anna, what a beautiful healthy day you had. I’ve been pescatarian for about 17 years and was surprised to find that even when I thought I was eating carefully, when I actually tracked my protein in take with an app was pretty far under what I needed. Might be something to try for a week just to make sure you get enough. Love the cooking vids, keep em coming!! 😃
Is there a way for you to compile all of your IGTV videos into one giant youtube video monthly? I don't get on IG everyday and the thought of missing out makes me sad!
Love these videos! By the way I heard that you can swap banana for zucchini (or in Uk courgette) to thicken a smoothie. I haven’t tried it because I love bananas but it might be worth giving a whirl!
Hey Anna, haven't read through all the comments so this might have been suggested already (and I'm a bit late to the convo), but you can substitute avocado for banana in smoothies. They have virtually no taste when blended with other things, and provide the creamy, thickness that make smoothies so good. However, I'm not sure how available/reasonably priced avocados are in the UK, so this may not be a practical suggestions for you. But it's definitely worth a try.
You’ve inspired me to give Pilates a go, but as a complete beginner, would you recommend private classes first before diving into a class? I suppose it’s my own comfort level, but would love your thoughts.
Oh I love these videos!! Also, thank you Anna for discussing your current diet. I'm currently in the same place and it feels so great to not be going through this journey alone!
Loving this video, I was actually kinda missing this format again :) Super happy to see the peaches with amaretti, it's actually a traditional dish of my region (Piedmont, Italy) :) But the entire recipe is this: - Cut 5 peaches in half, leave the skin, and carve them a bit, in order to fit the filling; - Take what you carved from the peaches and add 30 grams of bitter cocoa, 40 grams of sugar, 2 egg whites and 20 grams of Amaretti (pre-blend the amaretti a bit, but don't make them in a powder consistency - you want to maintain the crunchyness. Adding them when you blended already the other ingredients is the best way ;) ); - Fill the peaches; - Then take the tin you will use in the owen and cover every surface with a thick layer of butter; - Put the peaches in the tin and add a small piece of butter on every peach; - Cook for about one hour at 160 degrees in the oven and voilà ;) Hope it's useful :) xoxo
Good on you for cutting down on your meat consumption! Every bit makes a difference in my opinion. I've been without meat for over 4 years now and I've never felt better! It took me a year or so to make the adjustments, but I'm so happy that I did. I've also been having a similar smoothie to you! Frozen berries, apple, a lemon and an orange + water (or a 100% pure orange juice / water mix), it so refreshing and quite different to my usual smoothie of banana / greens / almond milk (it's not super calorie dense, but good for getting the fruit in first thing and it's delicious too!) x
Anna you are already my favorite RUclipsr for a zillion reasons but mostly your fresh, down to earth personality but now that I know someone else that is also anti bananas in smoothies it made my day!!
Oh...I have no idea how to prep the beetroot but I also love Minimalist Baker so hopefully I can find it online...try her cinnamon scrolls at Christmas...delish.
Coming from a nutritional therapist here! If you ever don’t want to take probiotic tablets (bio acidophilus by biocare is the best). Definitely go to Kefir, really high in probiotics and all that good bacteria! There is a polish brand in Supermarkets that are cheaper and exactly the same!
Hi Anna, Have you heard of the cookbooks, "Deliciously Ella" and "Deliciously Ella Every Day"? They are by Ella Woodward. They are for a plant based diet and I think she has the May Deli in London. She has also done a collaboration with NYR Organics for some amazing skincare. I am from California, but would love to travel to the UK just to go to her deli.
Have you ever tried a pole fitness class? Flexibility, posture, strength, endurance and cardio...to the max. :) Especially the higher up you get in levels. So fun.
I just made your butternut squash and feta cheese frittata and oh my word girrrrrl. its a keeper. Going to be making a batch and bringing them to work.
My favorite smoothie is frozen mangos or peaches, frozen raspberries, baby spinach, matcha powder, soy milk, and a splash or orange juice. No bananas required! You can add a scoop of vanilla soy protein powder if you are feeling it too, makes it even creamer.
For anyone that suffers from frequent UTI's - the thing that helped me most (instant relief) was drinking a heaped teaspoon of Tumeric spice with 250ml warm water, and then flushing with 2litres of water consistently throughout the day. This was a miracle worker! It took the bladder spasms away and pain subsided completely. I believe doctors say Tumeric is natures antibiotic and highly recommend :)
I really really enjoyed this video! Love all the food and lifestyle things. Your choices are a great inspiration for young women - especially - so well done!!! You have very good posture and a super healthy complexion and those things have to be testament to your food and fitness choices. I am looking into pilates now!
Completely forgot you were having friends round at the end of the video and I kept thinking that’s a lot of food for just you and Mark! 😅 so excited for At Home With!
I’m allergic to bananas, so I use avocado to thicken my smoothies!! It works so well! I do mine with spinach/any greens I have on hand, almond milk, and some tropical fruits (I LOVE mango) delicious!
Anna you need to get a Vitamix machine. You can do so much with it including incredible veg and fruit smoothies. I just love mine and I’ve had it for over 10 yrs now.
Love the frittata for lunch idea. Since you mentioned it in one of your earlier videos I keep making it with all different kind of veggies (zucchini, peas etc) but always with feta on top. So easy and yummie and filling. Love it.
Hi Anna! Love these kind of vlogs... they're so interesting and entertaining too :)) Wanted to ask you for some (healthy eating) cook books recommendations... Which ones are your fave? Thanks!! Much love from Malta xxx
Loved this video Anna! I've been a vegetarian for most of my adult life, and I noticed you make a lot of vegetarian friendly recipes. I never push it on anyone, but I'm glad to hear you and Mark are reducing your meat consumption :) Please keep doing these videos!!
Anna I would love to know how you eat only one of the energy balls? I love them but can’t keep them in the house-if I make them I find myself thinking I’ll just eat one which turns into five! 🤦🏼♀️love these type of videos.
ooooh i like the idea of a banana free smoothie because most smoothies are so high in carbs because of bananas. You could also try putting avocado in your smoothies to add a bit more creaminess and healthy fats which will keep you fuller for longer. Trussst me it tastes sooo good! I make an avocado smoothie with half a frozen banana, some pear, avocado, frozen spinach, almond milk and ice however you can totally take the banana out and add extra pear or maybe some mango to compensate for sweetness or i guess since you like sour smoothies you can just cut out the banana altogether! It's sooo yummy and filling! Hope you give it a try :)
The vegetarian and vegan options sales have soared in a lot of countries throughout Europe over the last two years. A lot of people are so called ‘flexitarian’ now and it’s simply wonderful!
I HATE bananas too! And I’ve been wanting to try to do smoothies for breakfast sometimes, because I don’t like to eat much first thing in the morning. But most recipes have stupid bananas in them. Will definitely have to try this one out!
I really agree with your approach to meat consumption and I'm thankful you felt comfortable enough to share it. I went from meat eater to pescatarian to vegan in the span of about two years. I have always been a proponent of adjusting one's lifestyle to just eat a little less meat, or maybe only eat meat when you go out or on certain days of the week. Vegetarianism and veganism can be really hard for a lot of people to commit to mentally but small changes, like cutting out meat a few times a week, make a big impact on health, the environment, and the lives of animals.
You can talk at 7:30 am I am really impressed 😃. Try having omega 3 1000mg, I have been taking it for over a year and I can't tell you it's effect on my hair ,skin and nails👍🏻. You look amazing in tights ☺️
So confused? Tried to follow the link to the peanut choc balls but it took me to Madeliene Shaw's raw chocolate cake recipe? Also would LOVE the courgette recipe please
Yay for reducing meat intake!!! I have been veggie for a while and it’s so lovely to see others making conscious choices to reduce meat as well 💓💓💓 Loving your lifestyle content!
Really great that you were comfortable talking about your evolving diet. Such a positive thing. I learned a lot from watching Forks Over Knives on Netflix. They’ve got fab recipes on their website and cookbooks too. Their documentary tracks a group of people with various health conditions and shows how much they improved just from eating more plants and whole foods! I’m so glad I found it a few years ago ❤️🥦
Try adding frozen cauliflower to any smoothies that ask for banana. If you don’t like bananas, it adds the same creamy texture. Obviously you may need to add something for sweetness but it’s a great substitute otherwise.
Sophia I was just coming to sing the praises of avocado. Buy some, cut into half and freeze them. Take out 5 mins before you need it to soften slightly, then chop into chunks and chuck in your smoothie.
Mind Over Munch (RUclips channel) has a video on veggie smoothies that includes a couple banana-free recipes. There was one with frozen courgette, cocoa powder, and a combo of coconut milk, cream, & butter that was pretty good.
Your evening meal looked delicious! Silly question but did you add any other fluid to tomato or did most of the liquid come from them? One thing I've never tried making is bread (or focaccia) but I think my husband who would burn water could defo help with kneading!
My husband and I now eat veggie Monday - Friday and then add in fish and meat at the weekend if we want it. We too were heavy meat eaters particularly red meat and just wanted a more environmentally sustainable diet, plus it’s made me a way more adventurous cook. We really don’t miss it but love the option of eating whatever we fancy come the weekend, we actually eat more fish than meat now which is a massive turn around for us. I feel like more and more people are aware of their meat consumption and also buying the best quality ethically treated meat which is such a good thing!
That smoothie looks so good, have to try to find some good dairy-free youghurt and try it out! I usually add chia and hemp seeds to my smoothies if I have only a smoothie for breakfast, lots of omega3 and fiber so it fills me up a lot more :) And I just bought some glass straws - unfortunately they didn't come with a cleaner, but it says on the packet that they can handle 600 degrees, so I can just boil them and it's all good!
oh and btw, I LOVE the minimalist baker! I don't have her cookbook (YET!), but I have loved every recipe I've tried from her so far. Her gluten free vegan cookies are delicious and ridiculously easy to make, the main ingredients are dates, oats and bananas though, but you should try them out!
Re smoothies, while you can’t prep the whole thing the night before you can prep all your frui and put it in a mason jar or storage bag then in the morning just dump it in and add your liquids
I was surprised that someone doesn’t like bananas, but then I realized they probably don’t grow in the UK, so your supermarkets most frequently must carry only those big watery ones that have been shipped way too green to get there before going bad. So, if you’re ever in a tropical place, try the local grown varieties, there are so many! I suggest the smaller firmer ones, as I too loathe the texture of overripe bananas, but absolutely love the taste
Anna, cheers for talking about meat eating and its environmental impacts - and in a casual way. I feel more influencers should be mentioning it. Without being too overwhelming and pressuring people into going vegetarian - but mentioning the options and talking about their personal experience. Loved it!
So cool to hear you’re really cutting down on meat. I’ve been veggie for over 2 years now and don’t miss meat at all, I’ve discovered so many new foods instead!
Hey Anna, I used to work in an Italian delicatessen/used to be Vego (hahaha I know right) and I’m sure you know as well, but just wanted to say a lot of proper parmesans (and some other cheeses) contain animal rennet and a lot of vegetarians can’t eat/choose not to eat them. (Just saying this because you mentioned your mates were vego). Love seeing this kind of content - would love to see more recipes/workouts in the future! 💕
Oh Anna that dinner looks so delicious! Also great to hear you talking about reducing meat consumption - it’s such an easy change that can make a lot of difference, both financially and environmentally ☺️
Love these type of videos...along with home style and clothes but still really love a good beauty vid too! Well done on the fitness and healthy eating... food looked yummy! X

- Fill the peaches;
- Then take the tin you will use in the owen and cover every surface with a thick layer of butter;

- Cook for about one hour at 160 degrees in the oven and voilà ;)

I love this video. Loving the vlogs, everyday life stuff. Can you do more about what you do for a job and include that in the vlogs.

Morning! Loved this - just about to go shopping and it gave me some great ideas! Also trying to eat less meat, and feeing better because of it :)

Try adding frozen cauliflower to any smoothies that ask for banana. If you don’t like bananas, it adds the same creamy texture. Obviously you may need to add something for sweetness but it’s a great substitute otherwise.
samanthaj81 or avocado!
Sophia I was just coming to sing the praises of avocado. Buy some, cut into half and freeze them. Take out 5 mins before you need it to soften slightly, then chop into chunks and chuck in your smoothie.
Tesco sell frozen avocado slices. I’ve heard pear does the same thickening trick as banana
That's such a good idea! Will give that a go! x

Thanks! No I didn't add any extra liquid - just the juices from the tomatoes that make the sauce x
Do you have a video on favourite cookbooks?
I'll pop up a blog post soon! x
Always glad when you upload. X
Green Kitchens Stories has an amazing smoothie cookbook and lots of their smoothies in it don’t use banana.
