Eric, what a great time getting this project completed and being my first collaboration video I don't think I could have had a petter person to partner with. Great video Eric. Can't wait to see more of the lonely overlander 😁
This is so awesome! Answering any of the real questions people have instead of the " top 10" or "The reason I hate" videos. Amazing content, keep it up. Can you do your Renogy set up next? Even a review of it? Curious if you find any challenges ( I am looking at buying a Bronco) with the 2 door over the 4 door? Looking forward to your in depth and informative future videos. Hello from 'just' North of you outside of Barrie, play safe,
Thanks for the comment... Did you watch the new floor vid? The 2.0 load floor?? 👍🏻 Barbed pins... I think I'll just cut them and toss 'em from now on. Lol
Most informative. Wondered what it would take to remove rear seats from a 2-door Bronco, way more complex than anticipated. Removing and reinstalling 2-door Wrangler rear seats is much easier and quicker. May scrap a 23MY Bronco purchase, because detractors are beginning to outweigh what I like about a Bronco over my 2020 2-door Wrangler Rubicon.
I was looking into one of these with the intent on removing the rear seats. They really don’t make it easy. For such a utilitarian vehicle, it is a pain in the ass.
Sorry Gary...in the description, RUclips likes to hide everything after a couple of sentences. Click the "show more" in the description. But here's the link...enjoy!😁 ruclips.net/video/c0UJDXIGb-E/видео.html
My guess is that seatbelt sensor simply makes a connection between the two wires in the sensor cable when the seatbelt is not connected. Can you simply complete that circuit with a piece of wire to avoid the seatbelt buckle removal hassle?
My guess is that they detect both whether the seat buckle is plugged in to the truck, and whether the seatbelt is engaged. The two probably use different resistance. I'd try grabbing a voltmeter and checking it both with and without the seatbelt stuck in the buckle... then find a way to buy that connector, solder an appropriate resister to the connector, and connect it in... If you'll never use the seat again just cut the connector and use that. It's all a guess of course. I bypassed the temperature sensor in a leaf charger using a similar technique. You can make it clean with a little heat-shrink tubing.
If I buy a 2 door Bronco I don't want back seats, that's why I bought a 2 door and not a 4 door. The fact there is so much work involved in removing those backseats is ridiculous. I assumed they just had some kind of quick release to remove them and all that was left was removing the hardware that held the seats.
Props. Researching my approach to storage on a 2 Door and I found this essential. Thanks for posting.
This helped me so much to get the error code to go away thank you brother
Thanks for the comment...
One of my earlier vids... I'm glad you found something helpful! Lol

I have 4 or 5 projects "in the can" as they say 👍🏻
Can't wait to air them! Especially my maiden voyage trip video in the Bad Mule 🤘🏻
Awesome video! I was wondering if you know what size the bolts are for the rear seat cushions? My set got lost.
Off the top of my head, no...sorry.
I'm going to guess 15mm?
Great job!

Hello from 'just' North of you outside of Barrie, play safe,
Thanks, appreciate the comment. Glad you're getting something from my vids 🤘🏻
Your having far too much fun with that thing!!!
:)
😁😁😁
Thanks so much for this video, you made it really easy to follow along.
Any tips for removing those barbed pins? That was the hardest part IMO
Thanks for the comment... Did you watch the new floor vid? The 2.0 load floor?? 👍🏻

Did u go by the sault ? That’s where I’m from
Haven't made it west that far, yet...

I hope you went with the bronco, I just got a 2022 2dr base with the Sasquatch package and it’s an actual off road monster. Absolutely love it
@@Grunttamer 2023 2dr with Sas, Lux, slated production, Aug 2023.
@@problu9586 nice! They are a blast somewhere with very tight trails, mud, water crossings like the Ozarks.
For the future use angled nose pliers on the push pins ..
At the time, I was totally thinking side cutters. Lol

Yeah, Jeep has 'em beat in the seat removal aspect. Mine won't go back in unless I sell it 👍🏻
The difference is the seats are way more comfortable and nicer in the bronco but I agree can’t believe the 2 door can’t make seats flat as is

24 "Ahh..." in the first 2 mins. LOL But great how to video.
I counted 23....
😜
@@TLOverlander I have to do so many retakes on my channel be I do it SOOO much. Great video!
Good luck!
Turned out beautifully 👍

That was my guess as well...
I did exactly that... Shorted the two wires. No bueno....
It's more sophisticated than that, unfortunately.
@@TLOverlander hmmm sounds like a good opportunity for an aftermarket plug option.

So after all that how much room do you got? Can you lay down
You maybe could if you moved the seat up and filled in the rear passenger foot well. I don't sleep in there though....
The 4 door has plenty of room to lay down 2 door not so much but who wants a 4 door unless it’s a Everglades or braptor
Really enjoyed thank you!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Do you still have the OEM cargo floor you removed? I would be interested in buying it off of you if you would like to sell it.
I do have it... What happened to yours?
I have the carpet floor that comes with the base, looking for the rubber/vinyl version that you have.
@@Nateli711 oh I see...
I'd rather keep it for when I sell/trade it. Sorry

I think Jeep makes it a lot easier to remove theirs... Ford definitely missed the boat on that one.
Did you see my new vid, the 2.0 load floor? 👍🏻
