They also contain some amounts of carbs, fat, and sugar, because those things are what food is made of and you are going to eat some of them if you intend to eat enough to stay alive. Honestly, keto is starting to seem like a subtype of orthorexia. I never thought I'd see people complain that vegetables have "too much" *anything* but here we are, grouping tomatoes in with sugar cookies. These diets are low-carb to the average, reasonable viewer who is just trying to be healthier as opposed to following an extreme, rigid diet like keto or paleo. If your diet eliminates the overwhelming majority of naturally-growing foods on the planet you live on, to the point where you consider peppers to be too carby, then you should reconsider your choices. If you want to be keto then whatever, but don't get angry that the entire umbrella of low-carb doesn't bow down to your extreme fringe standards.
Well said! People always tend to go from one extreme to another. Just eat normal, natural food, mostly vegetables, protein and healthy fat and you'll be OK. A tomato, pepper or even a potato have never killed anyone. There's no need to restrict yourself to the point you can't enjoy life.
Except that keto is proven to help people lose weight by burning excess stored fat, and is scientifically shown to help normalize insulin levels & blood glucose levels.

I've been going in order, making a recipe everyday until I reach the end. Just finished prepping the vegetarian pizza! Me and the s/o are excited to try it out tonight! Everything else has been great so far and will be even better the second go around! (Accidentally cut the curved ends of the sliced bell pepper. Lesson learned for next time! I want that circular look!)

It's not vegan, it's vegetarian. Milk has to curdle to make cheese. For that rennet is used. You can find it in plants and microbes but it can also be taken out of the stomach of a calf making it not vegetarian.

Define "low-carb" because if someone is trying to be on ketogenic, paleo, or similar diets these recipes do not suffice. Honestly, if you are trying to say these recipes are low-carb you should include the total carb content per recipe or else it's a bit misleading because of how vague the title is. First recipe is about 30 grams of net carbs from veggies alone. That's very high for low carb, also due to the sweet peppers, onions, and mushrooms a large portion is also from sugars. The second recipe has about 15 - 20 grams of net carbs from just the marinara sauce itself, tomatoes are very high in sugar. You can make a much lower carb marinara yourself with sugar free tomato paste, sugar free ketchup, butter/oil, spices, and a few other ingredients. Third recipe, ignoring what's been said before about marinara, why use low-fat cheese? Low-fat dairy products are usually higher in carbs than full-fat products. I'm not going to critique the rest but you get the idea. A little more transparency would be nice, instead of trying to click bait off the low carb trend. I guess it's asking a lot of Buzzfeed to have integrity though when they're just looking to make money.
i agree with everything youre saying but i think tasty made this video for the average person eating a conventional diet of 2500 calories in which most peoples' carb intake would be around 250-350 grams. Therefore these dishes would be considered low carb rather than eating straight up white bread, potatoes, white rice, pasta etc. But yeah ur right it's a quick video just to make money, but i guess they shouldve at least had an article in the description to go more indepth about the nutrition.

Low carb itself is a vague term logically because the word low doesn't really mean anything, it's subjective / relative. All I'm saying is that the recipes should include nutritional information because what is low carb to one person is not to someone else. It's also just more responsible and I honestly think all cooking shows / websites should do so.

Not really... A potato has 40 grams of carbs (depending on the size) at that point you might as well make a crust using flour and it will be at the same amount.

Try and also make a point though that Low Carb per se isn't healthy if it's just the occasional meal mixed with high carb and high fat food, cause that's a recipe for disaster, it's the carb-fat combo that's the main issue. Also You and I both know the cauliflower grilled cheese needs to be baked for the moisture to be drained enough and the squares to stay together. I had to remake it myself last year and explain that to low carbers upset that your original recipe didn't work.

Keto In The UK I don't see how it's suggesting that it's healthy. It just says low carb, and that's what it is. Also, having a low carb diet isn't all or nothing. Not everyone that eats low carb is trying to reach ketosis. Some people have conditions such as PCOS that need to do nothing more than cut back.
the suggestion is part of the general common culture. people don't have to aim for ketosis but carbs and fat mixed are the root of many health issues and publishing a recipe without a disclaimer can be potentially dangerous.

Keto In The UK I don't see how it's suggesting that it's healthy. It just says low carb, and that's what it is. Also, having a low carb diet isn't all or nothing. Not everyone that eats low carb is trying to reach ketosis. Some people have conditions such as PCOS that need to do nothing more than cut back.
the suggestion is part of the general common culture. people don't have to aim for ketosis but carbs and fat mixed are the root of many health issues and publishing a recipe without a disclaimer can be potentially dangerous.
It's not necessary for them to warn about the dangers of combining high fat and carbs. Yea it would be cool if they did but you're putting way high expectations on a simple food channel

Umm...sorry folks, the potato is definitely not low-carb. The marinara is also kinda high.
But it's still more healthy and lower carb than the frozen pizza and Big Macs that most people eat so why all the complaining?
