Semperfli Classic Waxed Thread is just slightly waxed so you don't notice it much. Waxed threads are slightly tackier for sticking dubbing to them better, don't fray when you cut it, fray less when you nick it on things like the hook point when wrapping, lay smooth bodies and heads that look nice. If you do some Google searching you will find lots of people (who know more than me) talking about the advantages and disadvantages of waxed or unwaxed thread in fly tying.
I like the two-step application of dubbing, especially for forming a tapered body.
Like that fly lot... buggy
Nice Tying
Hello there! I'm new to tying. What is the advantage of waxed thread vs. regular thread?
Thank you for the video!
