Great honest review, thanks. You really nailed it. I was in the market for a sports tourer and was seriuosly looking at the Ninja 1000SX when I came across the Ducati which I have now purchased for all the reasons you outlined. But in truth the big smile it put on my face before I'd even left the forecourt on the demo ride was enough to tip the balance! 🙂
Hey Johnny! Its Dillon from WAYYYY back in the day. Like 2 years ago. Sent you that package of fan mail. From Fan mail 2.0. I was real young when I wrote that. Didnt know what to do with my life. Ended up joining the army back in 2017. However, as luck has it, I ended up smack dab in GA! Watching that video put another smile on my face, cringing it up. Still love to meet you someday. Maybe on the open road. Keep doin whatcha do brother.✊✊✊ Oh and that sticker you sent me, its still on my car. Get asked about it alot. Its getting pretty old.😉
lol try riding one. They're awesome! When u get spirited it feels just like a supersport bike. Handles like a gem at speed. It definitely likes higher speeds over slower ones but still does just fine in the city. A lot of his numbers are off and I deffs wouldn't say it feels heavy on the front at any speed, it feels much lighter than it actually is and is easy to turn at high lean, I often tip it right over just around suburbia as it's so confidence inspiring. Perhaps his suspension or front pressures needed adjusting. I had to do a lot of tuning on my suspension out of the box to get it how I like it, it became a different bike, went from not handling in the hills to being the best handling bike I've even been on at the speeds I ride. If you're a balls to the wall really talented rider in the mountains you might want a further forward leaning seating position, but I don't go scraping elbows around public roads so I find this position perfect. Just my 2c.

The fairings stick out pretty far because of aerodynamic reasons. It gets the air past your legs.
There are sportbikes, super sportsbikes, sports touring bikes, and hyper sport bikes. This is a sportsbike.
It's like a ninja 400 but bigger motor

A sweet machine for sure!
Johnny on a Ducati??? Oh no, stop the press!!!
Seems pretty tame

My apologies for not meeting your expectations.
No. Not even close to a 1290 super Duke. Not even apples to banana. But hey it's a ducati pretending to be a ducati.
