I really love this review best one i have seen. I am getting one of these for my first bike this summer. I cant wait going to be amazing. What helmets do yall recommend.
I am trying to decide between the Hyper and the SS. I ride a lot of super twisty mountain passes and Hyper is a blast on such roads, but it is soooo aggressive. Not sure if SS would be easier to live with every day. Plan on testing both back to back when the spring comes.
If you’re doing any highway you’ll appreciate some fairing’s. The hyper will be lighter and probably a little quicker off the line, Supersport has different gearing so it will also be better for higher speeds/highway…
@@sleeper.simulant7327 I did a longer test ride of both the SS and the Hyper. The SS is for me just a pain to ride at anything below 80 km/h. And in city traffic it is especially terrible, even in urban mode. Hyper on the other side is pure joy at any speed. Even in 30 km/h zones in sport mode, I can ride it almost as comfortably as my Tenere. My Hyper RVE is coming in 2 weeks. ;)
@@EfferusZangetsu if you think a Supersport is awful in the city you need to ride an R6 in the city. I don’t ride a lot of city, just the last 2 miles of my 50 mile commute 1 way. I’d buy a Supersport S out of the 950 class Ducati’s due to the style of my commute and 99.9% of all my other riding. @@EfferusZangetsu you keeping it in first gear at those speeds? I wouldn’t be shifting out of first for most city driving, maybe into 2nd if you’re on a main throughway where the speeds are 50 or 70 kmh…

Get the full Akrapovic race system and tune and you're up around 120hp while slashing 20lbs off of it - I've tracked mine and commute on it regularly. Unless you're a serious track rider, the Panigales are just inferior as for road-oriented duties. On track, this can still pull proper lean angles, and tightening up the suspension dials it it perfectly. Ducati finally made a 'practical' sports bike - but I'll disagree that this ride would suit old guys... unless someone has pretty long arms, the reach to the bars is lower and further ahead than the SF or any other naked, and the comfort is good only when compared to hardcore race-reps.
@@keithskeba2207 Depends on where you live. The wait time to get one is often long, and the price seems to range from $2500 - $3500 depending on your local currency.
The front brake pulse you're feeling is the ABS my hypermotard 950 does the same thing. Pretty sure Ducati just has a very aggressive approach to abs systems
I had my experience with this engine in the new Ducati Monster and it was not great for my taste (to say the least) 🙈. Between 2k and 3.5k the engine is rattling a lot and it's got hot everytime I had to stop in traffic for more than about 20 seconds... 🔥
The S means ohlins and quickshifter. And livery, I think. That back cowl comes off to expose a seat. Original owner must have removed the passenger pegs.
I have the 2024 model in white, and I am also not a fan of the Ducati red color. I still have about 250 miles left on the break-in, but I am loving the bike so far. :)
Also got the 2024, waiting for its delivery. Not sure if I made a mistake, though, by not waiting for the 2025. It could possibly have cruise control. ;-;
Nice review & bike. Although way too expensive & it also weighs far more than 403lbs. Try 468lbs. It really needs an update imo which includes shedding weight & adding cruise control. Power & torque are fine imo & a weight loss of at least 20lbs might make it feel a bit sharper too.
Hi dude, I’ve just turned 50 and own a 2021 Supersport S model!. I’ve recently ordered a V4 Pikes Peak Multistrada but concerned if I’ve made the right decision?. I love the looks of the SS and I chose that because it’s more comfortable than a Panigale, but have I made the right choice in changing to a Pikes Peak?.
2021 RS660 had a giant recall if you are a new rider than the 600cc would be better choice. Super Sport Ducati you would get bored of the V2 or V4 would be more fun.
@@godzeus9702 if you’re sane and like riding on the street, the supersport is just fine. it tops out at like 152 mph and has a quarter mile of less than 11 seconds. the supersport also keeps up with the v2 until like 80mph or so, which is usually about as fast as most people who want a ducati supersport want to go. a panigale v2 or v4 might be more “racey” but they’re less comfortable, which is the whole point of the supersport. panigale looks and tech but without the strain on your back and arms.
the supersport has everything on the rs660 besides cruise control and the price. for what it’s worth, i’ve seen many super sports with over 20k miles with no issues, and i’m yet to see a single rs660 that has more than 5k miles on it. the ohlins on the supersport S almost makes it worth it alone.
Man this bike with the 135HP 848 engine would have been perfect, It would have been a goldilocks-zone kind of bike, for a 110 kg man 100hp engine is a bit slow. Everything else I love about this bike and it is a bit bigger than those smaller 650 bikes like the Aprilia RS660 so you dont look stupid on it Also I would not put risers on this bike like the person owning this one did, the riding position on the Supersport 950 is perfect, even for long distance touring. It has that awesome semi-aggressive riding position where you lean a bit into the wind instead of sitting like a sail upright and taking all the wind to your body. Chase better make up his mind, in the last Supersport 939 first ride you did of this bike it was the best bike you had ridden the whole year and you gave it 10 out of 10 points, here you say "I have never been a huge fan om em" so what is all that about ? I smell a lot of bullshit.
Its not a Turing bike. If it had a bar insinstead of clip ons you could MAYBE argue the case. But this is just a sportbike. Kinda fits in the same category as a ninja 650 or fz7, or z900rs even.
I was refering to about 4:30 in the vid. That lil riser makes a different but not much. Even stock it's a more upright seating position. Sport touring.
Taking a long, hard look at the 950S after 4 years with my RSV4, but the lack of CC on the 950S really is a miss. Even my RSV4 has it and it's nowhere near as tour-oriented as the 950.
Oc - good on Chase... Ducati Supersport ride position is equivalent to Triumph Speed Triple, but looks and handles like a super sport of most manufacturers?

Might need some help here, currently been riding a yamaha mt 07 for two years, another bike for 2 years before that and I’ve been thinking about getting a bit more of a sport bike. I’m not crazy for speed and power so i don’t want to get some crazy machine with like 170hp and i still want to have a comfortable ride that has enough power to have fun with (a bit more than my current 70hp). This bike looks great, price is nice, i think it sounds nice but i don’t know how reliable they are. Spoke to someone that ducati’s aren’t too reliable. Thoughts? Also been looking at like a 2017-2020 model because of the price
I owned a V2 and loved it but damn it would cook you in traffic. I sold it and kept my R9T. The V2 was underserved for what I was using it for which wasn’t racing. If I was loaded I’d just empty the fluids and put it on display in my living room because it was so pretty. The Ducati SS is beautiful, but it should have cruise control for touring.
I have a 2018 s model and I rode it daily. Mine has 25k on it with no issues. I’m wondering if those risers had something to do with the vibration. I bought a 22 Streetfighter v4s and daily that now.
For me Ducati and Aprilia are like mercedes and audi they are nice to look at and as long as they are running good they are nice to have but soon as they need work its a pain and pricey and thats a turn away for me but i do like to look at em
i wish chase would ride one of these that was modern and stock. he seemed to really harp on about the ergonomics and the brakes yet those were specific to this bike, and he didn’t seem to like it at all. whatever the previous owner did to this bike, they totally messed it up.
Absolutely love the look, the friggen killed it with overall style, I like the Ducati red Vibration, no CC, and 110 hp made me turn away from this bike.....fir 17k it needs more to justify the cost.... Was considering this one but it’s in the same pricing range as the sfv2 so I went sfv2
The Supersport is 463 lbs but you don’t really feel the weight. Low center of gravity.
OC: I’d take the Supersport over the v2 sf. Yeah the v2 has more thrills but naked bikes aren’t the greatest for constant freeway rides. Plus the SS looks better imo.
I chose the white silk supersport and have loved it! Highly recommend it. Would’ve bought a v2 tho if the insurance wasn’t so insane.
2021 onwards it is called Supersport 950s unlike you mentioned Supersport S. Supersport S are defined as such for 2020 and a few years before. I own this 2020 one and is an amazing bike. Love it!! Thanks for the review!
I really love this review best one i have seen. I am getting one of these for my first bike this summer. I cant wait going to be amazing. What helmets do yall recommend.
:))) the guy's face when you started and rev the engine :))) @1:44
Yeah personally the only Ducati I'd ever own would be a white one for sure I'm not a fan of red that's just my opinion
The risers are stock btw, they're not added by previous owner. That's how the bike comes as, in its stock condition.
Way more uncomfortable ergo’s when in traffic, no low/mid range torque… any upright style bike like the Monster or Hyper, or a Scrambler like I have, is going to be a lot easier in traffic as the position lends itself best for lower speed maneuvers... I don’t ride a lot of city, just the last 2 miles of my 50 mile commute 1 way. I’d buy a Supersport S out of the 950 class Ducati’s due to the style of my commute and 99.9% of all my other riding. I don’t live close to any large cities either, the city is work in is a glorified large town in all reality…
@@sleeper.simulant7327 The ergos and the torque are not an issue, but the fueling at 30 km/h, oh boy... I have never before felt an engine struggling like that, just struggling and lurching. There is no way to ride it smoothly if you are not constantly feathering the clutch.
@@EfferusZangetsu you keeping it in first gear at those speeds? I wouldn’t be shifting out of first for most city driving, maybe into 2nd if you’re on a main throughway where the speeds are 50 or 70 kmh…
Oh come on! The original 2017 Supersport looked very much like this current 950 model - if you like the 950, you'd like the original as well.
I had a used hypermotard 939 SP. Hadn't mind the vibrations, if I compare it to my Honda CBR of course it's day and night comparison. But I look at the L-Twin engine on it's own. It's special. I love the low engine power, the torque, especially on the city to city rides.
How much is the full Akrapovic race system?
@@keithskeba2207 Depends on where you live. The wait time to get one is often long, and the price seems to range from $2500 - $3500 depending on your local currency.
Love this videos done watch 100s times still good looking motorbike
I like the sound of the 950s.. its not too loud and not that irritating..
The front brake pulse you're feeling is the ABS my hypermotard 950 does the same thing. Pretty sure Ducati just has a very aggressive approach to abs systems
@Chaseontwowheels how did you know? I have been Duck nerding over that exact bike on the Mtn site. I'm paying close attention to this vid my dude
Go buy it ;)
I totally should
I had my experience with this engine in the new Ducati Monster and it was not great for my taste (to say the least) 🙈. Between 2k and 3.5k the engine is rattling a lot and it's got hot everytime I had to stop in traffic for more than about 20 seconds... 🔥
weight you quoted is dry weight, wet/kerb weight is over 460lbs
Are these reliable at all? Don't know much about Ducati
Any chance of doing a Tuono V4 non factory review?
The S means ohlins and quickshifter. And livery, I think.
That back cowl comes off to expose a seat. Original owner must have removed the passenger pegs.
I have a non S and it has a quick shifter
@Adrian Enescu you're right. My salesman said the non-s didn't have the quickshifter. So I paid all that money, just for ohlins and a seat cowl... 😞
I had one and i absolutely loved it!!!❤
I have the 2024 model in white, and I am also not a fan of the Ducati red color. I still have about 250 miles left on the break-in, but I am loving the bike so far. :)
Also got the 2024, waiting for its delivery. Not sure if I made a mistake, though, by not waiting for the 2025. It could possibly have cruise control. ;-;
Nice review & bike. Although way too expensive & it also weighs far more than 403lbs. Try 468lbs. It really needs an update imo which includes shedding weight & adding cruise control. Power & torque are fine imo & a weight loss of at least 20lbs might make it feel a bit sharper too.
I think the Supersport was meant to have risers.
You know the windscreen is adjustable pull up for touring push down for sport mode lol
Hi dude, I’ve just turned 50 and own a 2021 Supersport S model!. I’ve recently ordered a V4 Pikes Peak Multistrada but concerned if I’ve made the right decision?. I love the looks of the SS and I chose that because it’s more comfortable than a Panigale, but have I made the right choice in changing to a Pikes Peak?.
man i been looking at these over the RS660 which you still need to review damnit... but this is good... nice one dude...
stick what you're after in the search box, plenty of reviews here including direct comparison of those 2 bikes
Everything else I love about this bike and it is a bit bigger than those smaller 650 bikes like the Aprilia RS660 so you dont look stupid on it
Also I would not put risers on this bike like the person owning this one did, the riding position on the Supersport 950 is perfect, even for long distance touring.
I bought one -added thee akrapovic - it’s a keeper
Dude :) Sometimes your speech and voice remind me of John C. Reilly. Respect ✌
Bruh... Ur giggling had me laughing when U got caught off guard by the bikes acceleration 😂
Its not a Turing bike. If it had a bar insinstead of clip ons you could MAYBE argue the case. But this is just a sportbike. Kinda fits in the same category as a ninja 650 or fz7, or z900rs even.
The windscreen is adjustable
That's how the bars come on the supersport.
no it's not, you can clearly see the aftermarket red anodised riser plates in the video
I was refering to about 4:30 in the vid. That lil riser makes a different but not much. Even stock it's a more upright seating position. Sport touring.
The difference between this and StreetFighter 2 is 2" in seat height. Shorty like me will have a problem with StreetFighter 2.
Taking a long, hard look at the 950S after 4 years with my RSV4, but the lack of CC on the 950S really is a miss. Even my RSV4 has it and it's nowhere near as tour-oriented as the 950.
Looks like those clip ons are standard on Ducati website
I love this bike 950s wish was blessed to have one
Oc - good on Chase... Ducati Supersport ride position is equivalent to Triumph Speed Triple, but looks and handles like a super sport of most manufacturers?
OC: Classic chase, loved this
It's for this old man. Reminds me of my 2000 ST. Same mirrors too! The old STs came with bags standard though.
Looks like you need to replace the clutch & front brake fluid.
When you gonna test out the aprilia rs660 or tuono 660?
Are not thoose handelbar risers standard ?🤔
No
Bro you just created a new channel daily driven ducati's.
Chase, you've never taken an R1250 GS for a first ride - just sayin...
I think those clip ons are stock
Nice vid bro I love your videos 🤩 .
Can I have question is there any company of delivery to Iraq if I buy new or used bick what ever from America or Europe if you know please tell me and thanks
Question: I thought the 950’s come with risers on the handlebars. Instead of the low clip on.
Damn, that looks like a massive block of steel.
25k miles? how much $$ was the desmoservice at 18k miles?
1:46 that guy's thinking "i wish people would act normal"
lmao, wtf was that spin though
How would this bike be to a semi new rider? ive had years of experience with a honda grom, and the occasional ride on a triumph daytona.
Hey Chase! which one is better between this and the v2
I like the position those risers put you in. I'm a little taller than you but honestly that would be perfect for me.
MAJOR MISS WITH NO CRUISE CONTROL
For me Ducati and Aprilia are like mercedes and audi they are nice to look at and as long as they are running good they are nice to have but soon as they need work its a pain and pricey and thats a turn away for me but i do like to look at em
man that is one beautiful bike
Liked it but not the vibes which were substantial - spoiled by the heavy but smooth VFR
Very beautiful bike but i prefer red color. Ride safe ....
This bike or Triumph 675/765?
i wish chase would ride one of these that was modern and stock. he seemed to really harp on about the ergonomics and the brakes yet those were specific to this bike, and he didn’t seem to like it at all. whatever the previous owner did to this bike, they totally messed it up.
My first bike and it's too slow. Wish this has the v2 engine. Selling it building m2
Is it just me or is some of the chase car footage on the pink side?
The panigale is the moto gp bike that happens to be legal. This is the actual street bike that is rideable.
Spot on review. Always high production value. Excellent shots. Now for the bike. Not liking the vibes/heat/sound.
Vibrating mirrors is a deal breaker for me
Great review
can you do a 950S vs CBR600RR??
The windshield moves up and down
Absolutely love the look, the friggen killed it with overall style, I like the Ducati red
Vibration, no CC, and 110 hp made me turn away from this bike.....fir 17k it needs more to justify the cost.... I actually have tons of Ducati support near me, no shortage of Ducati or Aprilia dealers near me.....was really looking at this bike but yeah I think V2 street fighter is a better choice
There is a dude who lives near me somewhere but I see him all the time on his 950s.......
Beautiful bike, probably one of the best looking hands down
Italian bikes are good for small height people no matter what
You're wrong, most big sportbike, are for tall people, including Panigales!I had to get the lower seat option to really fit me !
This is the street version of the Panigale.
No
I think the riser is stock.
Bro, its 93 Nm, not 69 Nm of torque. More than a panigale V2!!
Here, here for the Cruise Control! Major miss!
AWESOME VIDEO AMAZING SUPERB TOP
So how do you get away with test riding so much, the dealerships won’t let me test ride unless I intend to purchase the vehicle. They say I need to qualify and give them a down payment
He has a RUclips channel with 1.1 million subscribers, dude.
