in my opinion a slightly different appearence of the artwork to what i've seen before. Clean and powerful. Love that. Thx a lot for that training lesson, i learned a lot!
This was a really informative video! I had a question about the shading on the leaf: do you always use a vertical lined thumbprint on the centre/stem and a horizontal lined thumbprint on the outer sections (32:38)? Or could you use just one of these tools for both areas of the leaf?
@@AldensSchoolofLeatherTrades I can see that for the outside part of the cutting blade, but it can’t be flipped over for the other side like a swivel knife. Perhaps I’m missing something.
If you open it up all the way it gives you enough room you can hang it over the edge of the bench or you can take the screw out and have it completely straight. I will do a video next time we film.
What a great video! Great clarity, straightforwardness, and explanation. Camera angles are great, and so is the speed of explanation. Really good!
I'm learning drawing, and have your stencils. Really great aid, and your videos are great, Tim! Keep it up!
Another excellent video Tim! Thanks for what you’re doing...

When do you use a checkered beveler vs a smooth beveler with a tight pattern like this?

Do you case your leather before carving? And if so what happens too your pattern?
What kind of blade and size is that in your swivel knife? Looks different than the normal ones they come with?
What type of leather did you use
What is your website ??
How do you sharpen the EZ border tool?
The same as sharpening a swivel knife.
