Greetings from Rome NY. Love the sound of that horn! Two longs, a short, and a long = coming to an intersection! I can tell whenever the train is here in Rome is going to cross an intersection. I smile every time. Hello Witold, you look relaxed there! Thanks for the video! Stay well
Fact is, in a street where trains and cars share a street, the train tracks where always there first and a town grew up along the track. BTW, I grew up in a three RR town. where a RR crossed many city streets
Every time I watch one of these videos I keep thinking I need to get up there and railfan. BTW, heritage unit 3024 was down here in Binghamton today I caught it this afternoon.
Your trees in Utica haven't turned color yet. The ones in Ohio have turned some, but with rain every weekend, they will probably fall off before turning. Thanks for sharing your videos. We love them. Steve and Valerie from Ohio. ❤️🙏
I assume so....the railroad has done a major upgrade of the tracks between Utica-Sangerfield (23 miles) as well as the Utica-area industrial tracks which serve customers in New Hartford & New York Mills
A leisurely jaunt down the street and to bring out the brightness of the pavement you use the old Hollywood trick of letting it rain. Thanks for the close-up of The crossing tower. Bitold had a bit of competition as a couple walked their dog across the street as the train was coming and looked about as excited as Bitold. A nice train to catch
Ppl don't like to wait for the trains here. If there is an empty flatcar, they will hop on, and over instead of just waiting a min or 3. Sadly, I have watched quite a few do it and pray they don't get hurt in their stupid rush.
Umm, it's also a street w cars and people around here drive like they own the road sadly. Plus there is a big elementary school right up the road from the tracks

The video is never over, until Witold says it it is.

Good ole Schyler st. Hi,Witold, you look comfy on blanket. I send hugs 🫂 to you.
Hey rail rambler always interesting watching trains on scylure street. Hopefully one day I'll hear them in Earlville one day.
Enjoyed the video! Tell Witold that we said hi back!
As always Excellent video from Morrisville NY.
Hear the sound of those old bells. Brings back memories of the 70s
Greetings from Tonawanda NY.
I can't imagine sitting in that tiny tower for hours on end. Excellent video as always!
Watch out for that first step coming out the tower.

The trees in the higher elevations around Utica have started to change.
Cool!! - Jenny
Hoping to have a model of 3040 soon. I have 4024, 3018 and 3010 already.
Excellent! Thank you. How did Witold get such a Polish name?
Is there any old video footage of the Schuyler Streeet Tower in operation? That would be cool to see.
If there is I haven’t seen it.
Men used to sit in towers and bungalows to control the signals manually
Great video. Question Do any of these freight trains have cabooses?
By and large, except in a few situations, cabooses are no longer used today.
J: do you know if the branch is profitable?

@@paulbergen9114 my version of film noir, lol
What were the people doing who were jumping off the train? Kids goofing off?
Yes, kids. I didn’t notice them until after I posted the video. Unfortunately, it’s a common occurrence on Schuyler Street.

First car was clean of graffiti - a rarity!
Anybody notice the "slow children st plsy" sign next to the track? Seriously what person would allow children out of the house near the track

FRED is MIA
When there's no one using the track but you

There is a twin of the Schuyler St. tower here in Norwich
