The Porsche is really unique, being truly rear engine. I've always been a fan of it. The Ferrari is generally quick, especially at the larger straight line circuits like Spa. I've found it to be quick but not feel very good to drive. I get understeer on exit and in general don't find it rewarding to drive. That said, lap times don't lie.
I've been used to the Corvette since it came out as well. But never try to race the Corvette around Road atlanta. It can't handle the curbing. The damn thing loses control right after the SS is almost every time. I had to do serious modifications to the setup just to give it a chance.
Interesting. I ran some laps while we were trying to choose a car for Petit. The guys found it too loose but I was okay with it. I guess I'm just really comfortable with it.
I watch all this online racers either in acc or iracing, racing so smoothly having good times so then I hop on the game (acc) and struggling for a good lap. I am 4-7sec outside the best laps on the track and idk how to drive this smoothly. :( need more practice
Like you mentioned, it's tons of practice. When you get closer to those times, then it starts coming down to things like track conditions, weather, and so on. Just keep at it, enjoy the process, and the times will come.
Nice run! Some of those GTPs were insane 😂
It was a wild week. Thanks for watching!
Haha freaking GTPs man... Great driving!
Thank you! I wonder the ratio of time spent between looking through the windshield or the rear view. 😬
@@chrisstewarttv dude they come up so fast, I think I need to adjust my fov. Also how does the Porsche compare to the Ferrari?

Good one Chris, I will not do mixed anymore too many GTP that will not wait to pass at the middle of a corner.
Thanks! I tend to stay away for the same reasons. With Petit this weekend I have to prepare for the chaos. 😬
i did 4 imsa races so far to prepare for petit and survived 2 of them. 50% not too bad given the track :D
Not bad at all, I'd say. It won't surprise me at all if our day ends quickly by an impatient GTP.

Hey Chris great race!. In the video I heard you mention JRT for refuel. What are you referring to?
Thanks for watching! I use Joel Real Timing on a 4th display for timing, trackmap, dash, and it has auto fueling options.
