- Part of a series of videos I shot in the Philippines. This giant albino frogfish otherwise know as the Commerson's frogfish (Antennarius commerson) is filmed swimming in the open water, using a strange "jet propulsion system"
This wierd animal also has legs which it can walk on. Its hind legs almost resemble chicken wings. (I wonder what they taste like)
It is animals like this which concrete the belief that fish walked out of the ocean to form the theory of evolution.

Is this your breathing or is it instead of music? Its waaaay too short and shallow.
its just an audio track
Hi where exactly in the Philippines has this been filmed, the reefs look healthy.
hi, yes it was Balicasag island which is just off the coast of Bohol. Its one of the nicest places I dived at in the Philippines. Certainly the best in the areas around Cebu for diversity. Its been a protected marine park for a long time but still suffers from the lack of big fish like the rest of the country.
Ok, thanks, I did go there back in April 2000.
+Eric Lessard - i imagine a lot has changed for the worse since then, but Philippines is still one the nicest places I've ever been
