  • I hit an old buried post in my yard and it severely bent my mower blade so I had to replace them. I was very intimidated for this undertaking after reading the manual but it actually wasn’t so bad! Check out the video and maybe it can help you if maybe you are reluctant to do it yourself
Here is my Amazon Affiliate link to the blades I used:

My family plans on a getting a cub cadet for our acreage in Australia, a 42 inch one. We had a murray mower for 19 years 😊

That seems like a lot to take apart. Nice job.
Could you jack up the mower and maybe put some jack stands under it and change the blades in place? I don't have a riding mower so I'm not sure if that is feasible.

I’m sure that is possible…would definitely have to wear goggles though 🤓 I would just need to get some legit jacks for it though and not just some blocks of wood because I wouldn’t want to be underneath that thing if it came crashing down!

I have sharpened the blades on my John Deere LA140 by hoisting the front up on a chain hoist. Honestly by the time you have it all secured up there and done all the work awkwardly laying on your back, I prefer to remove the deck. I do it twice a year and it gets easier each time.
    Good job!
Btw, have you done any more projects on your F150?

Haha I thought about just getting underneath it to replace the blades but I am glad I didn’t! I think it would have just made a huge mess and probably would have been just as much work.
I haven’t touched the f150 in a while! I plan on getting to it in the next couple month. I really need to get it running better, I think a carburetor replacement

Yup! Good call! I had to learn that the hard way!
Yeah the trucks are a LOT more fun when they run properly. I went through mine and put in a new carb kit. They are actually pretty simple with a tutorial. The biggest issue usually is that the small passage ways are blocked from old or crappy gas and then followed by someone “going through” them and not knowing what they were doing. I actually was going to go the Holley fuel injection route on mine but it works really well so why drop the coin
