I'm cackling that of all the things Neil deGrasse Tyson talks about in this video, it's Pluto. Of all the individual planets, and former ones, I've heard him talk about Pluto the most
2 thing: 1. I don’t know why Wired Al and/or Jimmy Fallon never thought of applying as a contestant on Celebrity Jeopardy once. 2. How come Buzzy Cohen never thought of hosting Season 3 of The Celebrity Jeopardy Tournament? (Mayim and Ken got to do one and Buzzy got to host 2021 ToC)
I'm guessing that his contract for "The Einstein Challenge" on History Channel restricts Buzzy from appearing on other game shows. But also, after the instability of Mike Richards, and then Mayim's blip, producers probably don't want to confuse things further.
2. Buzzy was not chosen by EP Michael Davies after the ouster of Mike Richards as EP. Mayim hosted the first season but refused on the second season due to dual Hollywood strikes which Ken took over from her yet most of SAG-AFTRA members competed on the second season because of the Broadcast Code & some of the players donated to SAG-AFTRA related charities in support of the strike. In December 2023 (post-dual Hollywood strikes), Mayim and Sony parted ways that led Ken as the sole host of syndicated & primetime versions of the show. Colin Jost was chosen to host Pop Culture Jeopardy! Buzzy stepped down as Inside Jeopardy! co-host but continued as a writer for PCJ and Sam Buttrey took over as the podcast co-host.
It's a shame that everybody has to put forwards a humble persona. "Oh, I'm not that smart." "Oh, I'll just get a few questions." "Oh, I just hope I don't embarrass myself." You're on Jeopardy! Celebrity Jeopardy, but still Jeopardy. Revel in your intellect. Flaunt it. Susie Essman's the only one who's got the right attitude.
Considering Yvette Nicole Brown (not shown in this video) was one of the people actively calling for Ken’s removal as host (y’know, with all of the past “ableist tweets” that were brought up nearly a decade later) in 2021… yeah, that episode is going to be awkward AF 😬
Given that Ken's a producer, I imagine they've likely made up privately. The trailer for the season that Entertainment Weekly has on their site, YNB seems to be jestful, too.

This is a fun group and it's nice to recognize a lot of faces. Still hoping David Duchovny comes back someday.
Corbin Blue and Neil DeGrasse Tyson? I'm all for it
D’ARCY!

Yeah no mention of Jeopardy, just a platform to say "Pluto is not a planet" like he does in every interview lol
Neil deGrasse Tyson is a hack. Seriously.
I’m so excited for Robin, Blake, Fortune, and Susie lmao. What a great group
I’ve heard of Fortune Feimster only because she was also on Celebrity Wheel of Fortune two years ago.
I’ve heard of three of these people.
Phoebe Robinson YES!!!
Neil’s ego if he manages to lose a single round 😭
Oh God relax
@@cruzinthruspaceit’s Neil Tyson he presenting the clue 🕵️ from the late ⏰ Alex
I hope they had a lot of practice with the buzzer and the gameplay lol
CORBIN OMG
Really? Hmmm. Never seen this reaction to Corbin. No judgement.

They said on the Inside Jeopardy podcast that one of the celebrities accidentally broke the buzzer 😅 I wonder who that was.

Wasn’t expecting Lara Croft to be on this season xD
Blake for the win!!!! Show your dad what’s what!!!!
Is that Lois Lane from James Gunn's new Superman movie?
Yup Rachel Brosnahan and also James Gunn’s brother Sean (who isn’t in this video) is competing too.

Sherry Cola must be a stage name, right??
Each and every day we stray further from the definition of celebrity
Just because you haven’t heard of them doesn’t mean they aren’t a celebrity. But I do agree somewhat
I didn't see a single non celebrity in the video. What is this comment?

Each and every day you pay less and less attention to the world and think it makes you interesting.
Bring back Andy Richter you cowards!
He was brought back for the first season - and lost in the first round!

I want the list (as long as it may be) of those who turned down the chance to be on celebrity jeopardy.

If Neil Degrasse Tyson doesn't win I'll lose my ever-loving mind
Maybe 🤔 he’ll 🏆
Let's be real, Neil DeGrasse Tyson is an unfair choice knowing he'll mop the floor with all of them. May as well have Matt Amodio back.
He’s the guy presenting the clue in season 32 since 2015
Remember that Simu beat Andy in the opening QF match of CJ S1.
No, Tyson isn't nearly as smart as you think he is. Or as smart as HE thinks he is.
@ sure 👍 is 🆒
Soooo semi celebrity jeopardy
Love all them.......except Tyson...cannot stand that smug man...
Who are these people? I recognize 3 of them😮
lol this phoebe robinson person (never heard of her) has the worst strategy I’ve ever heard
Can Tyson be more of an intellectual fraud lol
I don't know most of these "celebrities".
Ive never heard of five of these alleged Celebrities.
A shame you don't have an electronic device in your possession you could use to research their names and accomplishments.
