The best part of any new Traxxas release is seeing all the inevitable hate comments.
But then it sells like crazy because they actually make good stuff, people just love being tribal.
I love traxxas and I love my trx-4, I will say however that they are one of those companies that rely on their name to sell products at very high prices. I would continue to buy their products, but I would pick and choose.
@@Evoman678 Oh I definitely agree with you, they do charge a premium. But for that premium you also get hands-down the best product/part support in the business. The best customer service in the business. And even though a lot of people hate their electronics/aluminum upgrades etc, their fit and finish is always top notch and hassle free, with rare exceptions.
Some of the other brands do provide a better value, I will agree. But people really discredit just how important it is that companies support their products, and Traxxas usually supports their stuff for years if not decades.
Nobody else does that.
@mhods4457 I agree 100%. I love their support. Traxxas was the one that got me into the hobby because their name is literally everywhere. I hate how their products never go on sale doh lol.

I still have 2wd HCG aluminum chassis slash , I never completed as running car , some how the missing hinge pins so aluminum arms are junk unless I can find right size pins , but if the basic 2wd slash on sale that be good , I finally get it off the shelf 😂 , I recommend a few of them as kits to kids want be mechanics 🧰
Much like my Raptor Slash, it CAN jump but doesnt seem to be its favorite thing. Does seem to love to fly across the dirt though! Thanks for the constant content on the new rig!
Traxxas has the regular Slash on sale right now. The 4x4 VXL are now $399 and they have a coupon code for another $25 off.
That’s how much I paid for platinum edition almost 20 years ago , had aluminum hubs and clear body optional center diff . Coming from 90s technology and 2wd slash , the 4x4 slash was like reinventing the wheel . It was amazing . Remember didn’t really have RTRs that performed like that for under 500 , it really was a good deal and that’s 2008 , that’s why other companies had such hard times

Wow it definitely does hold it's own in there jay tee for sure ripping across the mud.... I would have liked to see just how messy it was under the hood there, but I'd say it was bad. Lol😂...... And a few hard hits on those big rocks and at speed so 100% impressive.
Great video, vehicle quality is truly subjective and relevant to driving style! I think Traxxas has a winner for sure!
Monster slash is still probably the best option for now. Similar in size when you put a monster fusion body on it too. And can flip super easily

The belted tires are great for not ballooning but I think they also take away from jump height and overall speed.
I'd like to see more body detail similar to the UDR.
MS seems more suited to flying across the dirt rather than through the air. It's a short course truck and SC trucks never seemed like the best bashers to me. That said I'll always have a slash in the collection cuz they are a blast !
Makes me miss Warner Robbins Georgia with the red dirt and hate ny even more! Wonder if the wide max arms would fit this?

It jumps so stupid 😂 😂 it can’t even glide thru the air or tail whip around. Tips/flips over everywhere. 🤣 Tf was Traxxas thinking. This is a huge no for me. Terrible. This isn’t even on the level of arrma mojave 4s/6sa and cost more. 🤦♂️ great video J like always. Thanks you for changing my mind on getting one. It gets hate because it handles like garbage and is more expensive than the Arrma competition, yet handles a thousand times worse. Just a bad value all around compared to its competition. Still a cool truck I'd say, but it's just not as good as it should be for $700

@@jasonbecker4997 . I'm not a fan boy at all but I'm very aware it's a Maxx with a longer lcg so not surprised it kinda handle's like a.....idk, monster truck. The tires... They kinda suck there hard and don't grip. It's also amusing to me that a bunch of grown dudes be upset about a toy that has a 70$ difference to the one they like.. keeping in mind that most haven't driven the Maxx slash 😆.... End of the day there toys, it's a expensive hobby to begin with...

Awesome SC Truck but you would think for a $700 price tag it would come with a motor fan and Bluetooth module because it comes with all the telemetry sensors WTH Traxxas !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I ran one for a few packs since I ordered one and my shop let me run there’s for a pack. It just doesn’t do anything really good. It rides like the HCG slash and tips easy. The tires aren’t good on most surfaces and the top parachutes pretty bad. You get a plastic geared servo for 6s. Not enough travel in the suspension. It’s a new chassis and all v1 Maxx parts. I’d buy at 600$. But I got a Mojave 6s for 570$ BN

It's seems like when you hit the brake your hitting to hard. Or when it start to rotate you need to turn the steering the opinion way and give it gas

I dont remember the Mojave 6s handling quite this bad re tumbling so much. The Max Slash isnt great in the air either.
The truck looks cool! It just doesn’t jump as good as others. Seems too low.
If I was into racing on manicured tracks, maybe, but I only have access to areas like this one or worse, so I will pass, respectfully.

IMO it just does not jump well at all,the nose is always straight up in the air.aThe design of the body is no where near an Arrma 🤷🏼♂️

It looks like it doesn’t have enough suspension travel.
In my opinion this Max Slash cant hold a candle to the Mojave 6s, in the handling dept both on the ground & in the air.
Also the Mojave 6s sounds allllllot better.. The high pitch wining sound is so much better then de Maxx Slash (and im a Traxxas fanboy so that says enough😂)
I've been thinking the same thing. Anyone familiar with a Mojave can tell easily from all these run videos. The Mojave handles, jumps, and especially lands better.
The maxx slash will last regular folks a lifetime, it will hold good resale value , it’s a great basher . The Mojave’s suspension travel is amazing, they offer realistic performance while being durable and great value from a performance point they’re in a league of their own.
@@RcPlayer-tt2vw I'll not argue durability. The Maxx Slash isn't even out yet to know and the Mojave's are tanks. Resale is relative. All brands RC resale is less than stellar at the moment. You can pick up 8s big boys from both big names all day for $500 or so used. A great basher tho? A huge part of bashing is jumping. Huge part of jumping is air control and landing. A sct will have less air control from the smaller tires but landing and driving away versus walking over to flip it on its wheels is huge. My Mojave's land pretty good. The videos of the MS show it hasn't. It's also a lot of wonky looking flopping and diving midair. It sits pretty high also, especially for a lcg chassis. For romping around the yard it'll probably be great. Big air I think it'll be like my SBR 2.0. It's not great at it. It won't hurt my feelings at all if I'm wrong but I'd think it'll hurt a lot of owners feelings if I'm right.

Honestly it isnt worth the money. Its just like having a normal maxx but with all the cons of the slash, like how it loves to roll over with literally any throttle while turning
It just seems under performs,my 4x4 ultimate definitely better than that on 2s,the actual maxx better even on 4s,why they didn't follow arrma mojave lead is beyond me
Nice bash . The truck seems so underwhelming. Better tires would definitely do it justice . Seeing old Mojave 6s videos , make me realize this car is in the wrong price range .
