Thank you so much for this video. This is the conference that my church belongs to. I grew up Baptist and married a woman from an Anabaptist background. We're both very thankful to be a part of RNC. God is doing great things in our churches and ministries!
This is actually a perfectly timed video. My church is currently discerning its relationship in MCUSA, and I've been considering whether Rosedale would be a better fit for us. This video may be very helpful to us. Thank you!
I was not and still am not thrilled with the name change. I understand the desire to change to avoid conflating political and theological conservatism but I find removing Mennonite removes a significant part of our heritage. And despite growing up at Cherry Glade (mentioned in the video), I never attended Rosedale and have no association to the name,, nor do most other Anabaptists that I meet.
I really don't understand how wilful disobedience to Scripture regarding head veiling, can just be dismissed and ignored. Personally I don't see the wilfully disobedient being allowed into heaven, thus making it a salvation issue.
The name rosedale came from the location that the bible college was founded: Rosedale OH. I have a relative who is a pastor in RNC, and he doesn't care for the name change. I agree that there could be better titles for a network of churches. Personally, I liked the title Conservative Mennonite Conference. At least then it signifies the denominational flavor.
It makes no difference. They are all man-made Protestant denominations. They are not the One, Holy, Catholic, and Apostolic Church created by Jesus 2000 years ago.
There could be true believers in this church that are apart of the one catholic universal church. Just like there could be some in the Roman Catholic Church. Every church that calls upon the name of our Lord Jesus Christ is a true church 1 Corinthians 1:2
If you want to understand either the Great Schism or the Protestant Reformation, read 1 Kings 12.1-24. Leaders who abuse their power are bound to incite division within the community of faith.
@@FRodriguez_Are you ignoring the Church of Antioch and its successive branches that all have valid lines of apostolic succession? The Maronite, Melkite, and Syriac catholic churches all are in communion with Rome.
The Amish are not saved people . Moravian brethren are also by and large unsaved. A Communal Christianity that one is born into is unbiblical in every way.
Do you know every Amish person? Have you ever met an Amish person and knew them well enough to determine if they're saved? Can you fully articulate their beliefs? How can you know every Amish person isn't saved if you can't say yes to any of these questions? Rosedale doesn't claim the word Amish anymore. The fact you didn't know that tells me enough of what you actually know about Rosedale or the Amish.
Unless you are living a lifestyle stricter than the Amish, I can pretty much prove with chapter and verse, using obedience to Scripture as my measuring rod, that you are living in greater wilful disobedience to Scripture than the Amish, and thus less likely to be saved than the Amish. Go on take up the challenge, I think your ego needs to be checked by some hard biblical truths that you seem unaware of.
@broz1488 I am so intimidated by your wit and wisdom. By the way, Roman Catholics, Pentacostal and Charismatics, Gay Christians, Jehovah witnesses, and many other denominations also boast of the rightness of their cause from scripture too. So you're not alone in your arrogance, my friend. Interestingly enough, you are doing exactly what you are so offended by me by insinuating that I am the one whose theology is false. You can disagree with my statement but that you condemn me in the way I condemned the Amish is to be of the same spirit. Pathetic. Besides, your words and opinion are of no interest to me at all. You can play theological tough guy all you want. Far be it for me to take up the challenge of so great a theologian. Lol. Long live the the horse and buggy.

In Indiana they have the "Black Bumper Mennonites"; they will drive cars, but they paint the chromework black.
Rolling Stones Paint It Black
I've read they are allowed to drive, but the vehicle must be black and have no radio accessories.
Horning Mennonites
Interesting. What does that do or signify?
@@wendyleeconnelly2939 Shiny things are too showy & frivolous.
i was raised in the CMC and went to college at Rosedale.
I'm amazed at your knowledge of all religions and am blessed when I listen to you. ,Blessings
Thanks! Great to see more content on Anabaptist denominations.
Thank you sir.

It’s good to know where my BMA organisation came from.
How about a video about the Lusitanian Catholic Orthodox Church of Portugal. Apologies if you have done one already.
Where's the video on Pentecostals? I wanna see mine, and how it differs from baptist, and charismatics.

Rosedale sounds like a housing development in a posh neighbourhood rather than a church group. Why not using the word Christian?

Except that never happened, at least not in Rome.

Will you elaborate? What aspect of these denominations causes you to make the claim they are unsaved?
