    As a young Canadian fool in 1969 I bought a 1965 S90 in London, England for $200. With my backpack and a $25 pup tent I spent two months exploring all of England, Wales and Scotland. Never let me down through rain, snow and a “meeting” with a sheep. Sold it for $150 and bought a VW (girls!). Today I ride a Goldwing and have found a restored S90. Time to downsize and relive old memories. Great series of videos.

I hope you can find time to view some other videos on our channel and maybe even follow along on our journey. We release a video every Sunday morning. Take care and enjoy!!!!!

    I had the 1969 Super 90, bought in 1971 for $250. It has 5-600 miles on it when I got it. It was just like that one, a bit picky about idling. I had to have it governed down to 5 HP, because I was 13 when I got my license. The governing device didn't make it out of the Honda dealers parking lot, but I had my certificate.
    Loved that thing! It got me all over town and gave me independence. Topped out at around 65 MPH.

      Yeah, I wish this one was a little larger like a 200 or so, but it was fun to work on. I will finally get to ride it this coming summer hopefully. And the reason for that is I moved and wasn't in a position to get it on the road.

      @@codraven57 I got mine from a friend of mine. He had it when he was a kid. It had sat for at least 30 years. Engine was stuck but I soaked it with ATF and Acetone and it freed up. It’s a lot of fun to bomb around the neighborhood.

    Sound like need to adjust the point and timing, and carburetor mixture of air and fuel. Run very poor.

    • @codraven57
      @codraven57  3 года назад

      Yes, you are right it did bad at first. Remember this was the first start up after new rings and honing the cylinder so it needs some running to break in and gain better compression. I have adjusted the carb and timing since that also. It hasn't ran much since that though due to me moving and not having the time to work on it. I plan on licensing it as an antique auto this summer and bob around town with it and tour a Tim Horton's or two.

      @@codraven57 Thank you so much to let me know what you did. Anyway, S 90 was my dream when I was young and until today. Now at 70 y/o, I wish I have a chance to ride the Honda S90 before I won't be able to do it. I have a Piaggio MP3 scooter, automatic with 3 wheels to run around in town when the weather is clear. Nice to share with you.

    did you have to re shape the expipe my repo pipe from Thailand will not fit .also

    • @codraven57
      @codraven57  3 года назад

      Yes that is what happened to me also. I cut the pipe about 2-3 inches from the engine and then mounted it then tacked and welded the both back together again and painted up to the weld with black paint.
      Hope this helps.

      It could be starving of fuel. That sounds like the distance it would take to burn whats in the carburetor. Something to check.
