    It's actually pretty cool you repurposed something to make a desk. I did the same thing with an old white dresser. Sand it down and stained it. Came out great. Every RUclipsr has the same desk. It's ok to be different.

  • @robbylebotha

    Make sure your desk edge is not weak cheap and can actually support the weight of the stand with 2 monitors, on that single clamp point. You're gonna get home one day to find your monitors fallen and probably cracked and the desk looking like your dog chewed into it. And dont think it wont happen, it could take months to happen.
    I've never heard anyone address that.
    And if you do have these arms installed, be it 1v1 or 1v2, doesnt matter, check the integrity of your desk weekly. Trust me it will snap so quickly without warning.

    • @BootSequence

      True. I've never had a problem with Ikea desks, and they're made pretty cheap... But I can see a thin particle board desk could have issues.

    Hi, my problem is how to be able to place two 32" monitors side by side horizontally, taking up as little space as possible inside the desk and no space outside as it is attached to the wall. Is possible to do such thing orienting both arms or upper arms all to the left or right?

    • @BootSequence
      @BootSequence  Год назад

      ideally, you would go with 2 arm mounts. but the larger option does allow for dual 32 inches. its just not very flexible as in the will only be viewable in a very obtuse angle.

    • @Nullius_in_verba
      @Nullius_in_verba Год назад

      @@BootSequence Obtuse angle should be fine considering that the two monitor are curved and it could be useful to dispose them in a sort of arch shape..the only issue is how the baricentre could be maintained. Traditional configurations with arms take at least 30cm of desk..so i really need to place both arms parallel to the wall. I wonder if I could align monitor putting those arms in the opposite direction like "frog legs" instead of putting them in almost the same direction at the expense of the center of gravity...

    I have the pillar mount (you know the one you paid for with your own money 😂) for my setup and it’s really good holds well but only have one complaint about it….
    That when you tilt the monitor downwards it looses the tension and the screen just faces the table and I have to retighten the tilt bracket again, you’ll have to let me know if you have that issue too
    Otherwise the table mounting and arms are study as….

      I never have need to tilt the screen, so when it does tilt down I just quickly tighten it back up and tell the kids to stop touching the screens
      I’ve had the mount for a year or so will be pass the warranty
