It's yet to be seen how Colt is actually going to fit into their scheme of things - but I hope you're right about quality control.
This is the exact one I have carried since ordering it when they first came out. I know it's collectible, but our time on this earth is short and I love it.

I’ve always loved the original look. They even shoot great when there’s enough light to see that front sight. The repro is very nicely rendered.

I like this repo on the ww1 45 colt! I like the original and repos. I like your old style gun's alot better.David Back from Menifee co KY.
I have one in the same serial range. These had the the thumb safety recall by colt back in the day and they had replaced it. Affected WW1 repro with safety recalls are late production of carbonia blue and early production of black oxide WW1 repros.
No issues with this one.

Wow, I can't believe you are still using the intro I made you 6yrs ago, still looks good. Congrats on the channel growth. I completely got out of the gun/prepper community because youtube started getting weird about weapons and they didn't allow me to advertise, so I completely deleted my channel. I was looking at all the channels I helped and many have either disappeared or stopped uploading, there's a handful that are still going.

I remember readin this on magazine years ago. Its a limited "re-intoduction" (more accurate, made as they were) rather reproduction.
The semantics of language seems to be at work here.

it's kinda sad to see that colt nowadays only waters down to reheat old designs for a quick buck from the collectors market
still cool, but the wrong direction imo
Now that Colt has been acquired by CZ, I guess we'll see what their future looks like.
