Actually The Near Witch wasn’t just one of the first, it was literally Schwab’s debut novel. And it was published years ago, it went out of print and got reprinted this year with new covers and everything.

I said one of the first because of the authors note in the beginning! She mentioned that it was her first published book but that she'd written another in high school ☺️

I totally think that Catholicism can be considered part of your heritage and a book with a catholic character can totally work!
I definitely won't mind watching a video when you talked about your rating system and if you ever go back to change the ratings on a book. Like if you enjoyed it back when you read it 5 years ago, would you go back and change the rating if your views and enjoyment of the book has changed? etc.
Yes!!! I am here for the Rhiannon love!!! They do deserve all the love and all the recognition!!!
And of course you wrapped things up with some play time with Luna and some studio Ghibil time with Adam.
Loved the vlog as always Brittany :). Thanks for sharing.

In Daniel Silva’s “A Death in Vienna” - there is a Argentinian Secondary character, and a portion of the story takes place in southern Argentina... other than that nothing else I can think of

A book that has Argentinian rep is The Tenth Girl...tbh this is the only book that I could think of that has an Argentinian character. I know it is way too late but I always love finding books that have my heritage repped in them (I'm Cuban so I love being represented). Have fun on your trip!

Readathons are normally week long events hosted by specific booktubers with different prompts! It's for anyone and you read basically whatever works for you for each prompt (sometimes there's a group book)! But it's not so much about buddy reading as fulfilling the prompts to your own accord ☺️ I normally find most of the readathons I participate in either through book tube or on twitter!

For your heritage challenge you should read The Tenth Girl by Sara Faring, here is the synopsis:
    A haunted Argentinian mansion.
    A family curse.
A twist you'll never see coming.
    Welcome to Vaccaro School.
Simmering in Patagonian myth, The Tenth Girl is a gothic psychological thriller with a haunting twist.
At the very southern tip of South America looms an isolated finishing school. Legend has it that the land will curse those who settle there. But for Mavi-a bold Buenos Aires native fleeing the military regime that took her mother-it offers an escape to a new life as a young teacher to Argentina’s elite girls.
Mavi tries to embrace the strangeness of the imposing house-despite warnings not to roam at night, threats from an enigmatic young man, and rumors of mysterious Others. But one of Mavi’s ten students is missing, and when students and teachers alike begin to behave as if possessed, the forces haunting this unholy cliff will no longer be ignored... and one of these spirits holds a secret that could unravel Mavi’s existence.
FYI Sara Faring is an Argentine-American author!

NO DON´T READ THIS BOOK IT´S TERRIBLE! Okay, I normally would not say such thing, but this is NOT a good representation on indigenous people and culture. To exemplify that I´m gonna leave a link here to a review in goodreads made by a Brazilian booktuber( I know she´s not Argentinian, but she really talks about the indigenous population on the book, which it´s something that both Brazil and Argentina have in common) that shows how much imperialist, xenophobic and stupid this garbage is. www.goodreads.com/review/show/3013312573

A lot of people are mentioning Tenth Girl in the comments which is cool because it just came in at my library
I didn't read You but I did watch the show and I loved it! I thought the acting was so good and yes he was super creepy and awful! But the second perspective also makes it feel like the audience is going to get in trouble with Joe which makes you even more uncomfy! But i guess in a good way in a 'thriller' way haha
