That’s one clear canal, all our canals local to me have about 6 inches of visibility and last time I tried to film with a GoPro it was just completely black 😂👍🏻
Must be the best under water video ever, got to be worth 5stars, this is fishing paradise, where are all the boats, dog walkers, cyclists, dirty muddy 2ft deep stretches I have to fish (that’s the Llangollen canal in Shropshire by the way) 2lb of bits is average for a three hour evening session with a 8oz fish being the catch of the night if I’m lucky! Please adopt me and I will be more faithful than than a dog if you take me for walkies down your canal. Best of luck and keep catching and filming. Graham.
Some amazing shots, huge amount of effort gone into making the video so very well done for making such an interesting insight into the world under the surface.
Chris - I once watched 3 Tench in gin clear canal water pick up every piece of 'free' bread flake there was whilst ignoring mine - Tench are smart fish!
Absolutely brilliant footage of how fish feed and our presumably good idea of how we think they feed, the camera never lies ,once again I thank you for sharing your experience and all the hard work you put in to this video
These under water filming you do are amazing, Thank you so much for these video's you make for us, I'm looking forward to more pike under Water footage video's :).
What an amazing video. I wish our canals in sandbach where this clear. Thanks for all your uploads! as ever I look forward to the next one. So please crack straight into it 👊
That's such cool footage. Always kinda see tench as the old wise fish ! Really enjoyed watching this :) I'm definitely intrigued by the fish avoiding the bright bait
I really enjoyed the fishing. I like what I see underwater. It is excellent. I also like to see you catch some different fish, like bream and tench, two fish we don't have in America. It is nice to see something different. Keep up the good work. Thanks
13:16 Geeze, what a grumpy looking bugger. That's the problem with fish these days, they don't realise what a great life they have and take it all for granted. Great video!
Great video once again! Quality ia good and the content good, all around very good. Extra plus for your skills and dedication to fishing. Looking forward to the next video :)
Enjoyed that Chris I tench fish on a feeder in a canal and I use ringers chocolate orange wafters they are bright onrage and the tench love them different canals different baits they also like the brown 8ml pellets 🎣👊💯
I have never had much luck using bright baits in clear water either. I really do think water clarity plays a part when it comes to hookbait brightness. Dark colours in clear water always do better for me.
Great film I fish a small bit of peporami or small wafter but have started putting the bait in the feeder first . seems to trip up the fish as they don't see the hook bait.
That’s a double negative…if you “haven’t seen nothing” that actually means you *have* seen something. You mean you haven’t seen *anything* Class dismissed 🤣
Please put a bunch of worms on an see what happens on the underwater camera , do they actually bury themselfs into the silt or do they clawl accross the bottom an drag the hook into the silt an mess up the presentation or does it actually actract the fish even more when they see worms trying to get into the silt or gravel or whatever your fishing over
I match fish for carp/bream on the method feeder and find the best hook bait is banded hard carp pellet, I’ve tried all sorts of stand out hook baits but using a 6mm or 8mm the same pellet as the micros out fishes them all every time.
Wish I knew which areas of the canal you fish! I struggle to find tench but those bream are everywhere. Way I see it the fish are after your feed so anything close to what your feed is they'll take, they aren't exactly looking for oddly coloured things although sometimes they do take the bright stuff. Just seems to depend on the day
Share your pain re the Rudd. In the 90's fishing the Kennett when it was at it's peak, the Barbel used to go mad for double caster fished over hemp but the venue was full of Dace between 2-4oz, they used to hit you at every opportunity. The meat would pick up the odd fish but the big bag sessions were always on the caster. My best ever session (Including my PB) I just had to keep catching Dace with the odd Barbel hitting me in between, fish a cast stuff with the torpedoes coming when they got to the bait before the silvers
I've finally started fishing again after many years of life getting in the way. It's going really well, 3 trips in the last 2 weeks, nearly 30hrs total fishing time.. and absolutely zero fish 😢😢Ive literally forgotten everything 😂
After watching your videos since last year I finally decided to dust off my feeder rod and start river and small lake fishing again rather than chancing large carp which can bring many blank sessions. I found a little hidden pond at the back of a farm and the fishing was amazing. Robin red pellets, groundbait and hookables got the carp, bream, roach and perch feeding fast for 5 hours then a massive pike turned up. Ruined everything.
Amazing footage love watching the videos av just started course fishing and there's lots of different reels to choose from what would you recommend going to be mainly feeder rod 10ft
Great video work but a off topic question. All my local clubs have a no lure/spinner rule so do you have this where you spin Or are the rules different in your part of the country ?
Have you tried using a length of Coax cable to view live footage to your phone from under the water using the GoPro app Without the length of cable you’ll lose the signal as soon as it goes under water but if you tape one end to the back of your phone and the other end across the top of the GoPro you’ll get a live signal no problem
i find myself using less bright baits especially pop ups as time goes on only time is winter when my target fish carps eyesight gets worse with the cold water otherwise i find them not too great only in low visibility water.. just use a more attractive hookbait to the feed around it and theyll find it easy enough..had one year using chicken fridge raders as hookbait and had one of the best years I've had
I am sure you are the ‘next generation’ angler that mainstream TV needs. Brilliant work.
That’s one clear canal, all our canals local to me have about 6 inches of visibility and last time I tried to film with a GoPro it was just completely black 😂👍🏻
My local canal is the same. It’s like being in space once you get the camera two foot down.
Lovely to see such beautiful fish. Especially the roach. Cracking colours.
Correct observing..oOoh it's a bream!.. Those classic , oft uttered .....words!...
Great footage!...nice meditation moment..
It's amazing how fast they react to the hook.

Lovely fish to watch 😮 rudd . Glistening. Wow. And the tench
Great shots of the Tench burying their heads in the bottom.
Some amazing shots, huge amount of effort gone into making the video so very well done for making such an interesting insight into the world under the surface.

Wow great footage, the rudd look magnificent in this footage
I from Poland 🇵🇱 super film👍
Beautiful shots, is there a chance that we could get a behind the scenes video showing your underwater camera placement and gear used?
I’d really appreciate this.

I'm amazed at just how many fish there were, I never realised there would be so many.

Nice Tench Chris and some lovely underwater coverage 👍
Absolutely brilliant footage of how fish feed and our presumably good idea of how we think they feed, the camera never lies ,once again I thank you for sharing your experience and all the hard work you put in to this video

13:16 Geeze, what a grumpy looking bugger. That's the problem with fish these days, they don't realise what a great life they have and take it all for granted. Great video!

Incredible footage and extremely useful to see the feeding habits. As always, great work 👍🏻

Lovely vid mate cracking
Amazing content as always. I really appreciate how much effort you put into these videos, they're amazing.

Can you do a video on trotting the river ? From setting up the line, gauging depth in the river etc
Great video mate

They won’t be going to far if u got a lead on they just sit there and wiggle
Do it yourself 😂
@@neininmen5442 i aint got a underwater camera or waters that are that clear this time of year to see for myself an neithers alot of other people

Could you explain how do you set the swim up with the camera?

Daft question maybe, but how do you place the camera in the correct position - is it dangling from a pole & you cast just beyond the tip?
After watching your videos since last year I finally decided to dust off my feeder rod and start river and small lake fishing again rather than chancing large carp which can bring many blank sessions. best under water footage, also is piking in this chilled out weather any good (on lures as i know its wayyy to early for deadbaits)

Was that the marine halibut Robin reds by any chance? Had good results on those.
Have you tried using a length of Coax cable to view live footage to your phone from under the water using the GoPro app

I like black or dark brown zig rig foam or white but only with bread on the feeder.
I’m off for 3 days and off up your way hopefully bump into you
Please could you give Any spec. of underwater camera you used for this mate
