This is a really cool concept, looking forward to more. The constant cuts of Jon saying one thing and then Frank immediately contradicting him were hilarious lol
@@yuiokamicosplays Sure you can, it's called Steadicam. It's essentially a chest/shoulder mount with a gimbal and weight system. It's pretty ubiquitous industry kit, except for say, found footage type films, where the shakiness is desired.
I think they’re trying to achieve the natural/chaotic movements of a shaky cam to make the feeling of the video to be “genuine”. But the shaking is too unnatural and uncomfortable and quite unnecessary. 😂
Me screaming: Rest that pasta. Combine the bread and milk and add it to the meatballs. Crush the tomatoes. Put cheese in the meatballs. Still a great job by Jon.
Those aren't San Marzano tomatoes, they're "San 'Merican." They've intentionally done their branding to trick people into thinking they're San Marzano tomatoes when they're not.
it's funny, I am not a milk drinker at all, but I absolutely HAVE to have milk with spaghetti and meatballs. I'm glad this show addressed that oddity and knowing it wasn't just me, lol
Great video but here's your reminder not to feed birds bread because it's basically feeding them nothing (they get full but they don't get anything beneficial to themselves!) Instead give them things like oats, peas and sweetcorn!
As an Italian descent I learned to eat a lot of spaghetti during my whole life and I have to say I wouldn’t like to eat this. The sauce is just too watery.
Every pro chef on RUclips uses bags of salt and then tastes it and says they need another bag of salt. Everyone else on earth never notices their own dishes not having enough salt. Weird, innit?
Is there a way to meet in the middle with this new episode and previous ones? The shaky camera and super quickness makes it hard for me to watch. It started to trigger my motion sickness. I ended up only listening by the end.
Don’t buy pre-made meatballs, please. They sell you low-quality undefined meat for a high price. You don’t have to buy a meat grinder, but do make the balls yourself.
Cảm ơn anh đã chia sẽ video rất hây 1 công thức rất tuyệt vời món ăn nhìn rất ngon và đẹp mắt ạ ❤🎉chúc anh và gia đình nhiều sức khỏe an lành hạnh phúc và thành công 💕💕luôn đồng hành cùng anh ạ 🤝🤝
#1, Those were NOT San Marzano tomatoes. They are an American knock-off called San Americano. Embarrassing your "pro chef" didn't know that. #2 Your pro chef should know that with ANY canned tomatoes, you need to cook that tinned flavor out. Otherwise, Ok job. Should have used real tomatoes and King Arthur 00 Flour.
frank probably knows but production probably doesn't allow him to clear that up - probably a conflict of interest and that would be giving the audience way too much useful information they only need him to be credible enough to keep us hooked on the channel, not a fully reliable resource that we can study off and eventually ditch the channel
Try Guys lawyers will be in contact. I am just joking. Try Guys did not invent cooking without reading recipe - although the clip at the start with it all going wrong and someone doing something daft is very on Try Guys "brand"
This is a really cool concept, looking forward to more. The constant cuts of Jon saying one thing and then Frank immediately contradicting him were hilarious lol
I think the YT comments mentioned this format as an idea a few months back.
This idea is just.a riff off of the original. They’ve done this for years. They’ve made cuts with contradictory comments for years.
I love how the edit constantly roasts Jon's execution of the dish
Wow Jon did really well considering the ingredients and him being a novice. And Frank is super knowledgeable as always ! great video
Yeah, looked like it had more sauce too, although a bit chunky
You can tell the editor had so much fun with this and I love it
That glass of milk sent me. I'd happily eat and have that glass of milk lol.
Dude cracked that pepper twice and was like “ait, that’s sufficient” smh
FRANK!!!! I missed you, chef! ❤😆
In five years, Jon will complete the Emily arc and graduate to a Level 2 chef and we will celebrate with a big glass of milk.
Jon is so clumsy, it's like I'm watching myself. 😂
The glass of milk 😂
I don't get the hate- I love milk with every meal. I've cut back when I hit 40, for health purposes, but milk tastes great with everything to me.
Definitely to each his own. But typically the acid and tomatoes do not go well with milk.
Jon was a great sport. This is a great series idea!
Frank throwing shade on the “flour method,” but then he does the exact same thing.
I hope for more of this series.
Love this format!!
Jon doesn't seem like novice cook, more like novice stepper into the kitchen
Why the camera shaking so much when focus on both of the pro chef and amature cook? You guy should buy a stabilizer for your team
I think it is in purpose, like a live action/homemade type of video.
Specifically because it's a person, you can't just buy a stabilizer for someone who's actually walking.

@@Deletiriumand i’m 💯 sure that epicurious has these mounts as i saw them in other videos on Bon Appetit (the same company in the same building)
We’re all Jon 😂 but he did great! I’d drink a glass of milk for that! Cheers! 🥛
Love the new series, more please!
This one was so much fun, hoping for more of this format!!
i don`t know why but this is so much fun, watching this show :D Production crew deserve their praise too!
Yes, the editing was on point.
Best format I've seen in a while! Love it so much please do more :))))
Jon is amazing!!!
Me screaming: Rest that pasta. Combine the bread and milk and add it to the meatballs. Crush the tomatoes. Put cheese in the meatballs. Still a great job by Jon.
when a reciepe says 1 tbs i always take 2 since everything gest better with more salt

Chef Frank Proto wearing shorts is awesome! 😎
Nice! I've learned a lot! Too bad I'm in the Matrix
Jon: I will drink to that.
Frank: I will not.
😆
Wonderful formate, keep it coming 😂

Instead give them things like oats, peas and sweetcorn!
I have always wished if all the cooking is happening at the same time. I mean, cooking times are different but all that share seems live 😂😂😂
10:51 Oh I didn't think I could love Frank more, but he's wearing shorts!!! 😊
I've never seen the bottom half of Frank before, but I don't think I could ever see him in my minds eye wearing full length pants tbh😂
That’s literally my favorite milk! 🥛 I am on Frank’s wife’s team!!!!
The camara guy was high af 💀💀💀
Jon puts a whole tree in a single meatball
Aha!! Chef proto is wearing walking shorts, not pants! 😋
Love these videos!
Jon is so adorable
That glass of milk was the star of the show
Jon is bloody funny, more of him please!
I would react exactly like frank if I was given just a glass of milk to drink with my food
Fennel is horrendous? Bruh we use it as Mouth Freshners😂
The edition of this one deserves an award 😂
Frank and Jon the duo 😂🎉
Next time, give Frank his large bowl. 🤣🤣🤣
FYI - if you have a power drill, you can probably use it instead of cranking by hand on a pasta machine.
😂 This video will be in my top 5 favorites of this channel ❤
The editing was hilarious
I get actual *motion sickness* watching these hand-held-camera videos; the other ones make me hungry instead. ❤
I’ve got big bowls, and she’s got big bowls. But we’ve got the biggest…bowls of them all!
Might hear like a little “tsss” and the silence after had me dying lol
I always have a glass of milk with my spaghetti
Nice shorts Frank
this was lovely :) 🏴☠
The editor did Jon so dirty
So you’re telling me, my kitchen aid mixer was a meat grinder this whole time?! OMG!
Throwing it the wall works OK for boiling dried pasta, but is irrelevant for fresh pasta.
Jon scraping onions and meat off the board with the blade edge of the knife is stressing me out.
I love milk with my pasta and meatballs
Poor Jon, and his Italian cooking is better than his French? Oh my.
need Jon in a room in which there are no others
what.
Frank’s legs!
As an Italian descent I learned to eat a lot of spaghetti during my whole life and I have to say I wouldn’t like to eat this. The sauce is just too watery.
i like it
More salt, people. More salt.
Two grains is not enough to season a whole bowl of meat.
Jon is cute!
I would use lamb in place of the pork.
Frank's wife approves 😅

This show feels unfair on the ameture cook , making your own meatballs like WHAT ? Who dose that other than Frank ?
The Level 1s and 2s also do it
I think it's meant to show us what you should and shouldn't do, so we can learn how to improve our cooking.
meatballs are something u should learn to cook as a kid lol
Everyone ???

the other dude rinsed the pasta under water after it was cooked?🤨😮
Frank!! You lost rest
Amateur using the dang knife wrong! How dare you🤓
Not a fan of the handheld camera
Chef in shorts
He has seen Sweeny Todd, so he is not going in without some know how.
I see frank I click
I hear spam comments like this, I assume "validated by likes."
@@Deletirium you need to get some friends bro it ain’t that deep lmao
seems like a weird concept for a video. kind of like 'mechanic vs amateur fix car without manual'. was a fun video but just seems weird to me.

I would drink Jon’s milk.
Stopped watching at nearly 2 mins. Sorry, new wobbly handheld camera style thing not for me.
❤❤❤❤😂😂😂😂🥛
PLEEEEEEEEEEASE tell me that guy actually learns how to cook during one episode. It was cute the first time, but now it's just embarassing...
First
I thought I was the only african watching FRANK on this channel
