Very clever and hilarious. I love when videos show you the process and make the mistakes so we don't have to. Thank you for being so humble and showing it all. I love the idea and especially that pot you used!!!
What a cute video! I especially love the "stylish" way you moved your fountain, dragging the solar panel behind😂 Then the bird goes to the dish instead😂 just priceless. Good idea. Thanks for the smiles, sending some your way.
Well, i am absolutely delighted with this fantastically brilliant tutorial. I brought all the stuff but did not have a clue where to start😅 . Anyway, i have been searching RUclips for about 2 mths but could not find what i was looking for then BOOM this vid pops up without me even searching 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 Your pot and pump are exactly the same as what i have got and can finally get those birds a drink and shower (it has been close to 90 degrees today) 🤯 . Also, love the humour it actually made me lol 😂😂😂 THANK YOU and you have earned a new subscriber 🤗
Nice job! I store bought a fountain last year and it had so many bird visitors. I wanted to try to make a more creative one and this is the perfect inspiration. 🥰 I have all this stuff on hand and just needed a creative guide. Awesome job and I love your garden decor.
This is very nice! Yhe plate holes are good for adding water as it evaporates. But, you might be able to fill the holes with hot glue to reduce the runaway water.
Well done on your beautiful bird bath fountain!! 🙌🏼 It’s very nice!! For the holes in the plate, what about putting a second plate on top of it rotating it a bit so the holes are slightly off? So water pass through more or less fast depending on the rotation you give it. 😊
😂 this one still prefers to go and dip his food in the bigger bath. Rhe little one didn’t let me down though. He did some crazy moves in it for the video 😂
Birds splashing around are cute to watch. I think the noise and 'power' of this 'fountain' has scared some small birds so I'm doing some adjustements to make sure they feel safe. Not a lot of bird footage yet but I'm hoping more will come this week.
Great job and idea.... does the power cord disconnect from the panel? If so, could a hole be drilled about 3 inches down from the lip of the vase and the solar power cord be ran thru the hole ?
I enjoyed watching your video.. especially the "you'll need: Style... to move your fountain" :D Where are you geographically? I look forward to part 2 to see what birdys come by!
Aw :) thank you ! I'm in the south of the U.K. And fountain activity is pretty low, but there is some cuteness happening. I'll wait a bit more to see if more come to it.
After a week, I moved the hoze so that it would not refill the small recipient. It made it easier to clean the small recipient and refill with clean water. The pump hasn't clogged so far, but there is not much passing though the pizza dish and the stones.
Long story ! First, I have to admit that I don’t change the water on this one everyday. But this is something that bothered me. So I added a tap, thinking it would fasten emptying the pot but it doesn’t. So then I moved the dish inside so it would not be filled in by the fountain and I can change the water of the dish daily. Now, the birds prefer the bigger bath. So the fountain is now just a small water feature further away !
It’s an Eurasian magpie. They are black and white and have a few beautiful blue and green feathers towards the side and back. This one is an adult. We have a couple of them living near by and a little one has started visited the garden a few days ago. He is cheeky and really cute :)
I used AISITIN Solar Fountain Pump, 2.5W Solar Powered Water Pump (£16). That one doesn’t have a battery. For £30 they have AISITIN 6.5W Solar Fountain, Built-in 1500 mAh Battery. I would be curious to know how long the fountain keeps working in the shade with that battery. I bought mine on Amazon.
This is so lovely! I have been using a very primitive design and much smaller. I just wonder how much time you will have to spend cleaning algae from this. If you have a secret to preventing the slime formation, please tell me!
As you said, it became difficult to clean. So the pot is back to being a planter, and I now have a simple large bird bath, easy to clean. It was fun to make at the time though :)
Yes, I'm changing the water every few days. After making the video, I drilled a hole in the grey pot and fitted a plastic tap, so I can empty the pot using the tap. However, it's not easy for the water in the bottom. What I'm doing now to empty it is pulling the hoze and instead of letting the water back into the pot, I have the water run into flower pots. I use that water to water flowers and plants.

Pizza tray!!! Genius. Thank you so much & for making me laugh! I can associate. LOL. Great job!!
😂☺️ thank you !
Very nice! Love the instructions on the side.
Glad you liked it!
Thanks so much for sharing the beautiful solar fountain. It was very pretty and elegant. Hugs and kisses from grandma, Sandy, and Debbie.

Love this idea and the terrific sense of humor in the tags!
Thank you :)
Like it was very simple to set up. I always like simple, set ups. Hugs and kisses from grandma Sandy and Debbie. Hope to see you again soon
Thank you :).
Hey, I got a planter and a holey pizza pan, I gotta go check the fit. Thanks for the delightful presentation. Great idea.
You will also need the fountain ;). I hope it's a fit !

Thank you :). I can also spend lots of time watching them, and they are so funny in the water.
Saw part 2 first. I was hoping your how to make was in part 1. And voila !! Thanks. It’s wonderful
aw :) thank you. I enjoyed making the fountain and enjoy watching birds visiting it.
Very creative you are. That's a beautiful design (fountain).
Thank you for this 🙏🙏🙏
My pleasure 😊

Good luck with making your own, and I hope you get many birds visiting !
I enjoyed your video especially your use of style. Very funny and real😂. Thanks for sharing it. A fun start to my day.
I enjoyed making it :)
Beautiful water fountain
Thank you :)
This is very nice! Yhe plate holes are good for adding water as it evaporates. But, you might be able to fill the holes with hot glue to reduce the runaway water.
I thought about it, but the idea of water staying on a tray with glue did not resonate too well, I got concerned about chemicals in the water.
Well done on your beautiful bird bath fountain!! 🙌🏼 It’s very nice!!

hahahaaaaa oh man!!! SOLOMON what a LET DOWN!!!LOL

That is really cool, I do lots of videos of the birds in my bird bath, very interesting behavior

Smooth pepples would be better for the birds
Interesting ! I thought they needed stones with some grisp on them. My next one could be with smooth pebble, thanks for the tip.

@@LittleWingedWondered I look forward to seeing your Part II :)
Did you see the video with the magpie :) ? I haven't had a chance to record much these days, but can't wait to getting back into it soon.
So cute
How you clean it as needed, and refill it with water as needed? Does the pomp clog ?..
After a week, I moved the hoze so that it would not refill the small recipient. It made it easier to clean the small recipient and refill with clean water. The pump hasn't clogged so far, but there is not much passing though the pizza dish and the stones.
❤ great fountain! But how to you change water every day may l ask ?

Hi! I just came across your video. What a genius idea! Where did you get the pot? Thank you!
I bought it online from Wilko, but apparently it can be found at B&M cheaper !
@@LittleWingedWondered thank you!
What is the black and white bird? It is beautiful!
It’s an Eurasian magpie. They are black and white and have a few beautiful blue and green feathers towards the side and back. This one is an adult. We have a couple of them living near by and a little one has started visited the garden a few days ago. He is cheeky and really cute :)
Which pump did you use and does it have a battery backup❤
I used AISITIN Solar Fountain Pump, 2.5W Solar Powered Water Pump (£16). That one doesn’t have a battery. For £30 they have AISITIN 6.5W Solar Fountain, Built-in 1500 mAh Battery. I would be curious to know how long the fountain keeps working in the shade with that battery. I bought mine on Amazon.
I been trying to figure out what to use. I'm so scared a bird might get caught up between solar fountain and pot if solar panel isn't fitting well.
So far, they've been pretty careful here, they stay on the stones on the side more than inside.
Beautiful! I'm going to try this. What are the dimensions of the planter?
Where did you find the pot? Love the lid
I bought it online from ‘Wilko’ and it’s called ‘Wilko stone effect planter 40cm - 0521933.
This is so lovely! I have been using a very primitive design and much smaller. I just wonder how much time you will have to spend cleaning algae from this. If you have a secret to preventing the slime formation, please tell me!

Can you drill a hole for the cord?
Yes! really good idea!
Will you have to change the water at some point when it gets dirty? If so, how?
Yes, I'm changing the water every few days. After making the video, I drilled a hole in the grey pot and fitted a plastic tap, so I can empty the pot using the tap. However, it's not easy for the water in the bottom. What I'm doing now to empty it is pulling the hoze and instead of letting the water back into the pot, I have the water run into flower pots. I use that water to water flowers and plants.
Where can you find the water reservoir?
I got it online from Wilko, but someone commented they found the same cheaper from B&M.
I wish you didn’t have the annoying music so it would be possible to hear the fountain.
The fountain sound was an area for improvement as it sounded more like a guy having a wee 😅
