it's not the same universe as league btw, nothing to do with eachother. I also recommend the agent trailers, they fill some gaps between some of these cinematics. Also the champions anthems music videos are sick.
Yeah but valorant characters appeared with their HQ in LoL universe when Arcane event happened during the series launch. There was a interactive browser game for arcane where you could get some gun buddies and titles and LoL and Val agents were present throughout different parts of LoL map.
It doesn't have anything to do with the League universe. It's it own universe. Here's the baseline of what you should know; 1. There are 2 Earths, Alpha Earth and Omega Earth. 2. There are 2 Valorant organizations, Valorant Protocol(Alpha) and Valorant Legion(Omega) 3. There are 2 sets of agents that belongs to each Earth, aka the Attackers and Defenders. Alpha is usually the Defenders and Omega are the Attackers. 4. Radianite is a substance that powers majority of the world with Kingdom Corporation(Alpha) and Kingdom Industries(Omega) as the leading organizations for it in their respective Earths. It can also give people superpowers when sufficiently exposed to it. 5. Radianite are the boxes we see in the game's site. The ones colored green(Alpha) and orange(Omega). By paying attention to the colors of the radianite, you can know if the map is located in Alpha Earth or Omega Earth. The only exception is the map Fracture located on Alpha Earth but half of the map was originally from Omega Earth before an event that made it that way. 6. The agents are divided between Radiants and normal humans. Radiants are people with superpowers while the normal humans don't have any. They usually use Radianite powered items instead. And yes, the highest rank is called "Radiant" for that exact reason. 7. If you payed attention to Valorant Esports, the VCT(Valorant Champions Tour) you will know that when they split brackets and groups into 2 they call one side Alpha and Omega. It's a reference to the 2 Earths. The trophy for Valorant Champions is also a reference to the 2 Earths, you can search how it looks, 2 cones converging into a single point. 8. Valorant Esports hosts 3 major events each year, 2 Masters and 1 Champions. The Champions tournament was just over a few days ago. 9. Did you know that you can create a team and play against other teams in your region for a chance to reach Tier 2 Valorant Pro scene and from there reach Tier 1? Yes, you can become a Valorant Pro by just by playing with your friends. I really recommend you guys to watch VCT matches or highlights just so you can get a good grasp of the highest level of Valorant. You can even watch videos that dissects the games to get a better understanding on how pro players play it, it will help in improving your game sense. I recommend "Airen" and "Teets."
I believe Lotus might also be an exception, it's on omega earth but it doesn't have any radianite box if I remember, since it wasn't a public site until Alpha Astra and Harbor opened it, right?
@@fBOMBB I think lore wise on pearl the alpha team ends up on omega earth. lotus on alpha earth is destroyed by something or someone. the radianite are in the rotating doors (gem looking things) and in the walls (i dont remember if it was the walls or what)
btw it's a running gag that cypher dies a lot in these videos, both in cinematics and trailers. Tha'ts why in the robot training one they added a random scene of him dying to the robot lmfao
actually yoru didn't have the clone ability at the beginning. the way they answer the question of why there can be two of the same agent in your team and the enemy team is that there are two earths, the are mirrors of each other.
What could simplify the lore a lot for u is the information that these are two parallel universes fighting against each other, so both sides have all the agents
3:50 No, of course it's not in the same world. The world of Valorant is the future Earth, and the world of League is called Runeterra. Although there is a continent on Runeterra, that is called Valoran (without t), so some people get confused.
need to watch the agent introduction ones also there’s in game lore that fills in the questions you have, probably need to watch a video that goes over everything and pieces up the lore together
Shame that Overwatch is ass nowadays so watching its Cinematic is not gonna matter when you would either not play it or even gonna have much viewers for it. Overwatch was such a missed chance and Blizzard should be ashamed for dragging it to the ground.
the agent trailers are also a must for more lore! the first few are just character introductions when the game was new, but they quickly turn into more cinematics that give background to each agent
1. Valorant and LoL aren't in the same universe but there are a lot of references to each other, eg. Killjoy was promoting Arcane on twitter and she with other agents canonically play LoL; also Neon and Zeri were made as 'sisters'. 2. There were just episode cinematics but there is some lore in other animated trailers eg. Sunset, Pearl, Lotus, Iso, Kayo and China launch trailer and console launch trailer. 3. So basically story of Valorant is fight of 2 Earth - Alpha and Omega. - On Alpha Earth there is Valorant Protocol who is secret organisation who protects Earth from Omega Earth Attacks. - On Omega Earth there is Valorant Legion who are public heroes, basically avengares. Their Earth is in crisis (floods etc.) and they need radiante to make technology and protect their Earth, eg. map Pearl is giant life support system and was built using radiante to protect cities from flood. They steal radianite using spike - it takes all radianite from environment, including ground, that's why map Ascent (city from 1st cinematic) is levitating. Most of the time we follow Earth Alpha agents and most maps are on Earth Alpha, except for Pearl and Lotus. There is a lot more of lore to tell like 'first light' which gave radiants their powers, story of radianite creatures created by Kingdom or whole lore about Omen, Viper and Vyse, but I suggest just watching some videos about it. 4. Warm Up cinematic doesn't meant to have lore, it meant to show progression of Phoenix as character. He is often selfish and doesn't think of his team, so this cinematic shows him learning to work with others.
a) Odin is actually broken, just crouch ads b) just shoot the Reyna leer is not impossible c) yes every single person who watches these cinematics demand a full show d) cypher is also very op e) so happy all are getting into Val, any chance you will ever try pc?
As a hard stuck solo queue plat 1 who is currently in silver 3 and has been playing since the beta. I love this game and its lore. I'm an omen main just because his lore.
About Viper and Omen: Omen, back when he was human, was an assassin tasked to kill Viper. Viper, fighting back, trapped him in one of her machines and fused him with radianite, creating omen, who is an artificial radiant. Omen lost most, if not all memories of that time, Viper never told him, and likely decided to work with/befriend the newly created Omen both out of guilt for what happened and fear of retaliation if he ever remembered. So now their relationship is kinda messy and Omen has decided to stay with the Valorant Protocol even after finding out ( he thinks he is no longer who he was in the past) , but is now in search of more answers and is mad that Viper never told him
This is so awesome to see a my favourite reactors reacting and playing an awesome game. Incase you guys want to dive deeper, you guys should also react to Valorant E-Sports. Despite Champions just ending, its still worth watching. Since I know you guys have some history and experience in sports and also just started getting into sports anime.
I followed Valorant from the beginning back in 2020 so I can clarify things for you. Valorant is separate from League of Legends. Cinematic 3 is explaining there are two Earths, Alpha and Omega. Alpha is our Earth Valorant Protocol and Omega Earth is Valorant Legion. Omega earth has all the same agents as Alpha and steal their radiantnite because their Earth is environmentally ruined across the globe which is why they invade. Cinematic 5 with Neon is Alpha agents invading Omega Earth which is why the comic book shop says Alpha threat. The map in that cinematic is a city that got flooded so they built a dome around it to keep the ocean water out as it rises and recedes like the ocean waves.
The Duality cinematic explains the attackers and defenders in game. You can have same characters on either side. The attackers are from another world but the same people who want to still the radianite from the world of the defenders.
I watched this whole thing hoping "die for you" "ticking away" and "fire again" would be reacted too😂 Nonetheless. All great cinematics and reactions once again!
4:42 lmao this was before they changed his footstep sound ability to a whole ass clone, he never used to be able to make clones (this cinematic was also the first time we got to see yoru before he was released)
Valorant's world isn't connected to league, however they take inspirations from league. Especially their agent Neon, is the exact copy of Zeri from league. And you can see the patterns in skin bundles. Take example the newest skin bundle that just came out, is derived from a skin package from league of legends. While this is called nocturnum, in league, the skin is called Old God. The finisher for this skin is actually Old God Ivern from League. Riot likes incorporating league into valorant, maybe to bring more players into league, however the World of valorant is not related to League at all.
TL;DR Valorant Lore, Parallel Universes, the main game takes place on two, but there are multiple in the Valurant Lore. The "Earth" of the two main universes is labeled Alpha and Omega. Radianite is a powerful radioactive energy source that is relatively new to Alpha but widely used by Omega. Enough exposure to Radianite results in "Radiants", aka people with superpowers. Omega abused their resource of Radianite to the point of natural disaster, most of their world is in chaos. Omega created large enclosed cities to protect the populace from these disasters but it runs off of Radianite which their world is slowly running out of. In response, they found a way to jump dimensions to find more Radianite resulting in finding Alpha Earth and stealing from them. Tid Bits that aren't needed to understand the immediate lore: KAY/0 does not belong to Alpha or Omega Earth, he comes from a war-torn universe where Radiants and "Normal" Humans fight. He's gone back in time, cloned himself, and jumped multiple universes to try and stop in-fighting among Humans/Radiants. Valorant is the name of the Organization the agents work for in Defending/Attacking Earth Alpha Earth finds Radiants taboo and their Valorant works in secrecy away from public attention. On the contrary, Omega Earth openly celebrates their efforts and treats Valorant like superheroes even turning them into marketable merchandise, comics, etc. Maps Pearl, Lotus, and Fracture are unique in the fact they take place fully/partially on Omega Earth. Fracture is particularly unique in that it is half Alpha and Omega after a freak lab accident. While pure Radianite is black in both universes, after processing Alpha Earth Radianite is green while Omega is orange. Some things in gameplay are not lore-accurate, for instance, the map Abyss, Omega does not know it exists despite being a playable map. Or how Omega is still searching for Astra despite her being a playable character on attack.
If you're interested, some of the map trailers and agent trailers have cinematics too. Like neon's trailer and the abyss trailer. I think there is also one more cinematic? I'm not sure on that. There is also music for valorant.
I’m a Sova/Cypher/Harbor/Gekko main. Sova’s the guy with the bow and arrows. Harbor’s the guy with the water bracelet. Gekko has the green hair and the cute little creatures.
It would be nice if you guys watched the rest of the league of legends cinematics. Champion teasers skins cinematics worlds live ceremony or more league music
Valorant lore is growing and becoming more detailed every year. Very long comment incoming~~~~ The basics (double check it, the source is my brain lol): There are two paralel planets and yes that is how they explain how you can play as the same character when you're in opposite teams. One planet has a great abundance in radianite (the substance that gives them their powers and is a huge money source in this verse) while the other planet's radianite is getting scarce. To fix this, the planet that is struggling (Omega) sends radiants (people with powers, like the agents from the Valorant protocol) to Alpha (the other planet) to extract radianite and bring it home, that's what the spike does. So on defense you play as Alpha and on attack you play as Omega (i think?) Most of these cinematics are from the Alpha pov, "the good guys". On that reyna, neon and killjoy cinematic they were the ones traveling to Omega to find out what they were doing with the stolen radianite. They thought they were building some kind of weapon but it turns out they need that radianite to keep certain areas livable because the planet itself is unstable. They also found out that in Omega they are seen as the "bad guys", the "alpha threat", and that Omega radiants are whorshipped as heros! I'm pretty sure in Alpha the valorant protocol is more of a secret thing. Alpha is also keeping the existence of Omega secret from the public. Each agent has a different backstory and i genuinely don't know how it works from planet to planet. Every time a new agent is added to the game it means they were recruited by the Valorant Protocol but I'm not sure if it's the same for both planets or not. Some agents are also directly connected to other agents, in both verses!! Per example, Omega Chamber and Alpha Chamber were proven to have worked together in the past. Viper and Omen have some shady past, as well as Reyna and Viper, and Sage and Viper, honestly now that i think about it a lot of agents have beef with Viper lmfao. Harbor and Astra are also connected, Jett and Pheonix are besties, Killjoy and Raze are dating (i think only in Omega tho) and many other kind of connections. For better details on the agent lore I'd recomend you to watch some of the agent trailers. Also you should definitely the Valorant Champions stuff, the songs SLAP, especially "Die for you"! I apologize for any spelling or grammar mistakes, english is not my first language! Hope this is somewhat useful to anyone who enjoys this kind of thing. Also pls take everything I said with a grain of salt, I don't work at Riot
If you want to get into Valorant’s lore Sir Jeppy has a 1h35m video explaining it up to Harbor’s release. He made other lore videos after that, including one for Lotus and Gekko, but then he stopped making videos. Either way it’s still the best place to get caught up on Valorant lore up to that point.
So basically there are 2 character of each one.. and classified as defenders (who lives in earth) and attackers (who lives in a like parallel universe of earth)
val and league are different universes however in the world of valorant, league is a game and media lolll. but League is more magic based fantasy world while valorant is a futuristic superhuman world. Also the bear in the deadlock cinematic is a radivore, an animal affected or expieremented on by radianite. Gekkos creatures are radivores as well. the goop that spread on her was from the bear and it gives you telepathic connections to the animal hence why Gekko has goop on his arm that glows and he can talk to his creatures.
pretty sure you skipped a few, not going to lie! at least the gekko/sunset and iso cinematics didnt show up. one of the jokes from the cinematics is that they find a way to kill cypher in pretty much every video. that’s why he got that little post credit scene in the robot training match. if you plan on watching the champs cinematics id also really recommend watching some professional highlights! the champs music videos always contain a lot of references to legendary plays and rounds from the past and feature players that you might not recognize, so watching a highlight video might help get you acquainted with some of the players and moments they use.
Guys I know you like to theorize some things, but I really recommend that you watch the official playlists for those kind of cinematics, Riot made a playlist with more than 40 videos with all the cinematics and short videos that are related to Valorant lore, you missed a lot of stuff and had to fill in the gaps while watching. Also, these kind of videos could get pretty long if you were to react to those 40+ videos, so I get it why you didnt do it in the first place, you know your audience better than me is just a silly recomedantion, if you didnt know about it already
It's def not League's world. Valorant's lore is told in the future of our world, Earth. They literally showed u our planet xD and it's said on the news the disaster Jett provoked was in Italy. Also, there's real coordinates in game of each map that represent a city, like Morocco (Bind map). There's Alpha and Omega. Omega is trying to steal radianite from Alpha to survive cuz there's no radiante left there. That explains defense and attack, and also why u can play against the same agents. It's a Mirror Earth like Multiverse.
yoru can't use his clone in the early cinematic coz he just got reworked and his abilities now were different from before. in the early days yoru doesnt have clone.

So on defense you play as Alpha and on attack you play as Omega (i think?)
Most of these cinematics are from the Alpha pov, "the good guys".
15:17 It’s an ongoing joke that Riot keeps killing off Cypher in the cinematics, you can see him die in almost all of them
Now you guys need to watch all of Overwatch &2 cinematics and all of Apex Legends trailers and their Stories from the Outlands.
unexpected but nice :)
My favorite skin is spectrum set
My favorite character is Raze
The overwatch cinematics are amazing too
val and league are different universes however in the world of valorant, league is a game and media lolll. but League is more magic based fantasy world while valorant is a futuristic superhuman world.
Got really excited when i heard you say you're doing overwatch cinematics. I love val but OW has goated cinematics.
pretty sure you skipped a few, not going to lie! at least the gekko/sunset and iso cinematics didnt show up.
one of the jokes from the cinematics is that they find a way to kill cypher in pretty much every video. that’s why he got that little post credit scene in the robot training match.
if you plan on watching the champs cinematics id also really recommend watching some professional highlights! the champs music videos always contain a lot of references to legendary plays and rounds from the past and feature players that you might not recognize, so watching a highlight video might help get you acquainted with some of the players and moments they use.
They reacted only to the episode cinematics, that's why the gekko and iso cinematics didn't show up,because those are agents cinematics
gotta see the agent cinematics next
In lore, KJ's favourite game is League of Legends, so League exists in universe, still as a video game lol
My main is deadlock and she is so good! i will never replace her
you should watch the agent trailers too! some of them have lore
They should react to the Valorant lore
31:27 Fortiche didn't make any Valorant cinematic afaik. These are mostly made by Blur Studios and Digic Pictures with some other studios in between.
wtf craziest crossover lmaoooi😂😂😂❤❤❤
bro you should have watched the character introductions in order too. its connected and fills the story
what a weird crossover but i’m for it. IM THREE RR FROM DIAMOND RN
GUYS please do overwatch cinematics they are literally mini movies
I thought Thursdays were FMA:B? Am I mistaken or did they change their schedule?
Guys I know you like to theorize some things, but I really recommend that you watch the official playlists for those kind of cinematics, Riot made a playlist with more than 40 videos with all the cinematics and short videos that are related to Valorant lore, you missed a lot of stuff and had to fill in the gaps while watching.
Also, these kind of videos could get pretty long if you were to react to those 40+ videos, so I get it why you didnt do it in the first place, you know your audience better than me is just a silly recomedantion, if you didnt know about it already
yessssss, react to the Overwatch cinematics and the Apex Legends cinematics
At some point yall should do the best plays in VCT (Valorant Champions Tour) basically just the esports side
you should def react to all the valorant music videos! riot makes the best music
as a phoenix main: yes phoenix can bend fire
Visions will always be the goated cinematic.
You guys have to watch overwatch cinematics next!
ain't no way y'all playing my daily routine game
this is what I needed
I cannot wait for the overwatch cinematics reaction 😭😭
omg im so excited for this
Should have shown that Mckay Valorant clutch
You should react to valorant champions opening ceremonies! They only have a few
Love this!!
14:32 wanna say sage took it since she basically finished maxbot lol
It's def not League's world. Valorant's lore is told in the future of our world, Earth. They literally showed u our planet xD and it's said on the news the disaster Jett provoked was in Italy. Also, there's real coordinates in game of each map that represent a city, like Morocco (Bind map). There's Alpha and Omega. Omega is trying to steal radianite from Alpha to survive cuz there's no radiante left there. That explains defense and attack, and also why u can play against the same agents. It's a Mirror Earth like Multiverse.
yall gotta react to the apex cinematics they are fire.
omg so unexpected but i love this!!!
24:03 nod replay button
yoru can't use his clone in the early cinematic coz he just got reworked and his abilities now were different from before. in the early days yoru doesnt have clone.
