Holy cow this is AMAZING! Please please make this a series and run more Koshiro joints through this process!!! I kind of miss the bitcrush on the drums, but I think the musical channels sound more crisp. It’s absolutely worth having as a companion piece
The drums definitely have something missing... could it be the bitcrush? But I think it's more about the mastering--you know, compression, equalization, reverbe... It's probable (likely?) that Koshiro-san did some mastering before he recorded the samples for the game. The snare drums definitely sound longer than what a TR-808 makes, which sometimes makes me wonder if they are actually recorded from a TR-808, but... Yeah, I plan on making more of these, either with the TR-808 or the TR-909 :D Thanks!
What a coincidence! I also own a pair of HifiMan Sundaras. Unfortunately, the right speaker stopped working at exactly several days after the one year warranty period... I tried to diagnose the problem, it wasn't the cables, so I opened the ear pieces, and confirmed that there were no broken wires... so I have no idea what is not working. I just gave up and returned them back to the shelves. It was quite expensive so I wish that they had a longer warranty period or didn't break so easily... Sigh. I guess I'm getting some Sennheiser next time... Glad you like it! Thanks! Admittedly not perfectly similar to the original, but I tried my best :)
@@KYLXBN Ahh, sad that yours had an issue, mine are fairly new and i'm loving the clarity and punch you get with a decent dac amp and EQ, chip music in particular has incredible sound quality. Sennies are great too, i've always been a sennheiser fan in the past. IMHO Streets of Rage has some of the best bass on the MD, though if you've heard it, Bio-Hazard Battle has perhaps /the/ best :)
TR909 was the drum machine used, not the TR808. Instead of using a drum machine, i would replace the DAC channel with an FM one and do the kick and snare there.

Nice TR-808 cover of the song!😄🤩😎👌
I really wished I could make it sound more closer to the original but unfortunately, this is the best I could do... Glad you still liked it!
That was incredible
So many softwares I want to use it, so really interesting
I haven"t heard this tune before, but the beginning reminds me to Sadeness by Enigma.
sick
Sick!
So groovy!
I'm using a pair of Hifiman Sundaras and the bass on this is off the chart, REALLY smooth and creamy

Surprisingly missing an FM
Hmm
You have for the shinobi?
Shnobi, as in the Sega Genesis game? I don't know what drum synth/samples it uses, so I will have to know first!
@@KYLXBN yeah, the revenge! Oh man, i will know the drum machine for you
@@Niemann03 I'll try to see if I can identify it myself, too!
I was able to recreate the Whirlwind track from Shinobi III using Roland R-8 drum samples :D
@@KYLXBN Sorry, i dont find the drums, but i think it is a tr 808 in revenge of shinobi.
Kanye West's no.1 roland
