Vapor trail has a killer soundtrack. The arcade version is better due to more elaborate arrangement, powered by the more sophisticated sound board used. But the exclusive ending song present in Sega Genesis is a very beautiful one. Excellent work, thanks for sharing with us!
It is more elaborate indeed, but in my opinion, they didn't do the hardware justice... It should have sounded way better in the right hands of a skilled programmer. The Genesis has simpler arrangement but the sample quality alone did a lot of heavy lifting :) I'm glad you liked it, thanks!
Holy shit, this is fucking awesome! I have fond memories of playing Vapor Trail when I was young, could never beat it though, except with the game genie.... I always loved the genesis version of the soundtrack, and once youtube came around I was able to listen to the arcade and saturn cameo versions of the soundtrack, including the live performances, that are awesome. Though, I personally think the guitars in the arcade drown out the other instruments too much. I was wondering, were you planning on remaking any of the other songs from the genesis version, such as the boss theme ("Bloody Road") or the genesis exclusive credits/staff roll theme? And would you be willing to provide download links for these remakes (including this one)? I hope you and your loved ones are having, and continue to have a fun, happy, healthy, and safe 2024! :)
Hello! Thank you very much for the first Super Thanks in this channel! I really appreciate it. I'm really glad you liked it. The Arcade version's sound hardware is definitely more capable than the Genesis but unfortunately, they didn't push it to the limit. I also prefer the Genesis version. The samples are so high quality and really complements the melody well. Since it's you asking, I'll add Bloody Road to the list and prioritize it :) I believe remaking the drums in Renoise will improve it a whole lot. There's only so much the single PCM channel on the Genesis can do, especially with such a complex drum track where notes keep on getting interrupted by other notes. As for the links, of course, I'll have them available within 24 hours :) I never intended to not upload download links. I just figured that nobody really cares so I decided to just not share links ^_^; Again, thanks! I'm very grateful.
Hi! I'm glad you like it! I currently have Gunstar Heroes - "Last Party on the Moon" and Night Slashers - "Under the Moonlight" planned but they are still in the planning phase. I was able to extract the samples from Gunstar Heroes, so what's left is to recreate the PCM track. Easier said than done, but let's see! As for Night Slashers, I'm still looking for the original samples used. I'm planning a remaster, not just a remake.
@@MrDamian1530The Air Buster was a surprisingly accurate comparison LOL Sure, I'll add that to the list and prioritize it as well :) Thanks for the suggestions!
This is one of my favorite themes in The Genesis/Megadrive, thank you!
you basically remade perfection, good job
I made sure to recreate the drum track as faithfully as I can. I hope I did good enough! Thanks!
Nice work.
Thanks!
what a sick track, gg!
Thank you! I'm really happy you liked it!
@@KYLXBN always loved your stuff! Just been out of the loop haha. Keep it up 🤘🏻

カッケーです。
そうなんですよね!この作曲家はきっとドラムのことをよくわかってると思います。こんなにかっこいビートを刻めるのはドラマーくらいかも!ドラマーじゃなかったらきっと上手な作曲家です。
Can you tell me what's on the list "to do" in Renoise PCM Remake department??
Cause I love those videos ♥♥♥

Under the Moonlight is really good track
Last Party on the Moon sounds like Air Buster intro music :P
Looking forward to Zero wing remakes
