Haqqani is partially correct in suggesting that Pakistan should avoid making noise. However, he unfairly favors other illegitimate parties over PTI by portraying them as the only ones capable of caring for Pakistan and stabilizing its foreign relations and economy. These parties have been in power for nearly three years, yet Pakistan is performing worse than ever on all fronts. There is a clear lack of political and economic vision. Pakistan was unprepared for the Trump administration because it placed all its bets on the Democratic Party. While the U.S. will always prioritize its interests, Pakistan seems to align its actions with U.S. priorities rather than its own. As PM Shahbaz aptly said, “Beggars cannot be choosers.” Unfortunately, the only apparent vision now is how to suppress PTI.

Hussain Haqqani did not say anything against Imran Khan, just listen to it again. The only thing he is objecting to is "Khan nahi to Pakistan nahi". There is nothing Pakistan government had to do to prepare for Trump, they will just have to deal with him as they did the last time and as they have done with all American presidents. To think that the government of Pakistan could have affected the AMerican election in any way is quite delusional.

@ Why turn this into a political issue? The real problem is the lack of vision and strategic planning in foreign policy. The solution is straightforward: appoint an experienced foreign minister who understands global dynamics. I’d suggest hiring Mr. Haqqani for the role-I’m confident he would excel at it..

@@AbdulazizKungda No, I guess you really did not read my comment. I have nothing against anyone. He mentioned his name indirectly. I just want everyone to lower noise and wait and see as he suggested.
