Is it just me, or is it completely bonkers that in the year 2023, heat pumps which cost thousands of euro's still don't come with a modern app that actually makes all of these settings user friendly to manage and easy to understand. Instead we STILL get this frustrating little controlling device that looks like it just got stuck in the 1980's for christ's sake :s

Yeah HP manufacturers are like the old car brands before Tesla. Stupid old boxes, support is only given via sellers, app sucks, shitty expensiveet addons etc.
I had to buy a separate wifi dongle for my ecodan pump. Not only is it ugly as hell but it cost 300 euro. The part probably cost 0.1 euro to make if even that. Hell I could by an entire laptop for that money.
We really need a tesla equivalent in the HP market.

Legionella can grow between 20 and 45 deg C. Actual recommended storage temperature to minimise the risk of legionella is 60 deg C. See approved code of practice L8. also CIBSE GUIDES. Room temperatures will depend on the type of heating and the thermal characteristics of surrounding wall ceiling and floor constructions. For instance with an underfloor system and lightweight insulated walls comfort may be achieved at a low air temperature, say 19 deg C or even less as the mean radiant temperature of the surrounding surfaces will be relatively high.

Interesting seeing the settings for the hot water. Are these functions only available with the Vaillant cylinder or would it also work just the same with a 3rd party cylinder like a Mixergy?
I'm in 2 minds about which to go for as while a Mixergy will allow me to take advantage of Agile Octopus for heating my water (even with the heat pump), and it looses less heat through better insulation, the plate heat exchanger presumably reduces SCOP as the HP side would need to run hotter to achieve the same water temp?

I want to run in full weather compensation, but noticed that the pumps on manifolds (wilo x2) and emittor side of the buffer (grundfos x2) run 24/7 due to these being controlled by the stats.
