That was an interesting partnership. Because unlike some of Paul's guys who can't talk, CM Punk was the master of the promo.
You are kind of a mr state the obvious ay
It might be obvious but it's worth saying
Yes!
Punk may not have needed Heyman, but they fed off each other so well I loved the pairing. Plus it was one of the few pairings that made sense with their history
Punk my 2nd favourite ever
*"Paul Heyman saw something in me no one else wanted to admit"* I always thought that was just a line he threw out there during the promo, I didn't realise they genuinely didn't know who he was when they hired him.
Heyman had a great mind for the psychological aspect. Just don't let him control the money.
Every single thing he said in that promo was true af
Everyone in rasslin knew who cm punk was. That’s why they signed him & started shoving him basically right out the gate
I think Vince was a little jealous of Paul. He knew how talented and creative he was.
@@jasondyrkacz8270 the thing with ECW debacle was that it was going down anyways it was only due to heyman that it lasted that long.

"he had no idea what he was going to say" and yet he did better promos than ANYONE else BY FAR
Because it was On the Fly. It felt natural because it WAS.
People still say Punk's promos are scripted. I feel bad for them
That true
Then we got stuck with roman reigns
John to Roman "come on man, its called a promo. Try again."
His Vince impression is dead on. Close your eyes, and it’s Vince.

Worth Storm Bruce does a good one, but not enough base in it.
Jon Moxley does a good Vince impression
The fact that they hired Punk, not because they had seen him in a match, but because the _read about him online,_ is astonishing.
Back when the internet didn't dominate culture like it does today.
Typical Vince era shit. No fucking clue and stupid ass characters he made and if they didn't get over he would fire them. When on the indys they were red hot. Glad Vince is gone good riddance
I absolutely love that Jeff Hardy's Swanton was referred to backstage as a "flippy dippy thing".
Basically what it was.
The most flippy dippy I've seen punk do is a moonsault allbeit a crocked one... That's where his name comes from btw... Crocked Moonsault Punk 😂

Brock and Heyman is the prototypical team of brawn and brains in action. They work beautifully together. Brock never needed to talk, but when he did, it did mean something. “Say something stupid, Paul.”
The genius of Punk and Heyman was that their characters were both conversationalists that got where they were by outsmarting other people. Punk/Heyman was more like a comedic duo than most manager pairings. More akin to Fry and Laurie than they would be Andre and Bobby. The work was awesome because of its freshness at the time.
