Just because you are in love with the man, don't look down on others that don't care for him, and there are many that do not. CM Puke fans are all mental patients. The ultimate hype man. My favourite promo he gave was backstage, talking about Roman Reigns vs Daniel Bryan, and he somehow put over Bryan in the hardest way possible.....while also saying that Roman was obviously going to win (which he did). So good.
AEW was such an unprofessional clusterfuck that it made CM Punk appreciate WWE and make amends.

Tbf, the elite is not a downgrade, sure, they fucked up by theorysing that colt cabana got fired because of punk, but they are damn good.

I think Paul was referring to AEW, It are serious questions on AEW product and it's talent management and oversight process. It seems the wrestlers are able to put their bodies at risk and risk being injured and shelved. The situation with Punk at AEW is sad but he is back where he belongs the entire time.

Punk destroyed any remaining credibility that he had by returning to WWE. He returns to wrestling, says that his entire WWE tenure doesn't even count as him wrestling, then acts a fool so badly in two separate instances that he gets himself FIRED from the place that brought him back... so his only resort at that point was to go crawling back the the place he'd been shitting on for the past decade. He's nothing more than a joke at this point.

Imagine if Heyman could just sit down with Cornette -- any and all previous water under the bridge -- and just tell stories of the old days and embellish and bullcrap back and forth for two hours. You wouldn't ever be able to tell where kayfabe begun or ended.

People are so quick to hate on AEW that they're skipping over the fact that Heyman is saying Punk went through hell in his original WWE run, too.
Heyman is always cutting a promo. He doesn't talk or just answer questions, he cuts promos.
Paul Heyman is full of sh*t. CM Punk in AEW had everything he asked for. World title within one year, show which is booked around him and his buddies. But it still wasnt enough. Actually this is the reason why CM Punk did not work in AEW in the first place. When you give the rebel too much power he turns into a mad king. In his fragile mind he always saw enemies who werent there, but due to his toxic attitude he created the enemies himself. Making it a selffullfilling prophecy. CM Punk needs to be in a place where he scratches to be on top but never will be. He needs to be put on a leash so he hasnt the freedom to turn into a mad man.

"He had to go through hell elsewhere" is the most outrageous thing anybody has every said about a wrestler. Yes, Punk's exit was terrible but throughout the entire time Tony Khan clearly wanted to keep Punk happy. Punk openly trashed another group of wrestlers in a press conference with Tony sitting right next to him, and Tony said nothing. After the conference Brawl Out happened and Punk was only suspended instead of being fired. Punk returned and Tony created an entire show on Saturday nights just to keep him happy and away from the Bucks. What did Punk do next? Pick up a fight with Jack Perry over glass being real or not. I like Punk, I really do, but how can anybody see this as being treated unfairly? He caused way more fuss than needed and it was only reasonable that Brian Danielson of all people was the one who pulled the trigger and fired Punk. Danielson knows a thing or two about cohesive work environments and Punk was just too hotheaded at the time for several reasons (some of those reasons were justified I can't state otherwise). Was Tony right in being too lenient with Punk up until All In 2023? Of course not, but saying that Punk had to go through hell is such an overstatement. He was given special treatment up until All In, but fans just want to disregard all this because Punk now has an issue with Khan. Punk's rebel character is not a perfect fit for WWE, it makes no sense to even say that. At WWE he will get a lot of money and he'll finally get his WrestleMania moment either this year of the year after, and I'm happy for him, but let's not get carried away. Again, I like Punk, he's unique in a way and I almost never skip the channel when he's on TV, but it's time people accept that part of the blame falls on him for what happened at AEW.

I feel like if FOX never convinced him to do WWE Backstage, it might've taken longer for him to decide to return to wrestling if he even wanted to at all. He needed to go through all of those things when he returned to professional wrestling. Go through AEW and have some good matches under his belt while also dealing with bad management. He got fired at the perfect time since WWE was just starting to be under new leadership and the Vince McMahon scandal happened right when he got back into WWE. You can tell that CM Punk is having a lot more fun now. Despite what's going on in AEW as of this post, I do want them to succeed and not go out of business, but how they handled the situation with CM Punk and others has been biting them in the ass and rubbing a lot of people the wrong way.

I don't want AEW to fail but the management handled Punk's altercations poorly. Not saying what Punk did was alright but honestly they should have just fired him after the first fight. Then punk went out of his way to amend things and that made it worse. So the Elite being petty instead of working as a business made Punk realize how toxic it can be out there.
AEW never held their EVP’s to a higher standard than the workers. Management should be the adults in the room and they were the opposite. That’s why AEW is a joke

Punk WANTED to be fired after Brawl Out. He was done with AEW but Khan wouldn't fire him. That's where the idea of Collision came about; a show where "troublesome" wrestlers like Miro, Andrade, and Malakai Black could get what they want. Punk knew it wouldn't work, but he worked it anyway.
Then, Brawl In happened. Punk quit (TK "fired" him), and then TK felt obligated to make a fool of himself, the Elite, and AEW by broadcasting the Brawl In footage; validating CM Punk's statements during the Ariel Helwani interview.

Honestly his whole run up until hangman was gold.
His MJF feud in general was one of the best in the industry. You can hate AEW, there are many great feuds there.
It's overshadowed by the stupid childish stuff, but if you look at Punk's run before that, it was mostly really good. The only really watchable episodes of Collision were the first month when he was running things there and it was some of the best TV AEW ever produced.
Summer 2021-early 2022 was AEW''s best period no question, with Punk and Danielson's huge debuts, Cody was still there, Darby and Sting had finally found their rhythm, Miro had finally found himself with his awesome run as TNT champion, people hadn't found out how scummy Jack Perry and Sammy Guevara were yet so they were fun to watch, they didn't own ROH yet so there wasn't 57 titles on TV every week, it really was a good time
Punks MJF fued in my opinion is the best thing AEW has ever done and I doubt it will be beat in the next few years based on how the booking has been taking a down turn.
I’ll never forget that Survivor Series 2023 return. I was legitimately gonna close WWE Network after the final match during Cody’s theme song and then the static. That f’ing static made me jump out of my seat at 4am lol!

It’s weird reading the comments and seeing people argue about this thing with Punk; who was right/wrong, how the wrestling industry works backstage, yadayada. Most fans watching this video are just that: fans. Most have never worked in wrestling as talent, promoters, or staff. You know I have been seeijg wwe product since Rock n Triple H feud. I missed Austin's era coz I wasnt old enuf to see it. But what I saw upto 2005-06 was superb. Triple H Rock Austin Taker Foley Evolution DX in their 2nd run. Frankly spreakimg Cena is the guy who really killed the charm of wwe. Me with many of fans of our time got fed up with it n Punk was the guy who brought that edge back. Period. Vince did not like it. I get that. But why he n Triple H did not get along was not clear to me coz Hunter was from that era where things were not "u cnt chheeee me". I followed aew from their start n it was a cool product. Hericho as their first champ moxley feud joe janela cody derby. It was a cool mix. They rebelled n it was fun to watch. They signed punk n that exposed their unprofessiinalism. I have nothing against them. They need to do good coz that only will force wwe mgmt to give fabs a better product. Thankfully Rock is on the board, hunter n shawn are heading creative, taker stops by, Paul Heyman is there. N they are in their early 50s where they are healthy n young enuf to know what the audience wants from pro wrestling. We just saw what rock did prior n during wm40. So it is great to see Punk back n settle comfortably in wwe n I am sure he will remain there for rest of his career. He loves pro wrestling n we all do as a fan. I just want to see two things happen be4 he retires. One, him vs Austin in wm match. Two, he wins royal rumble n main events a wm properly.
