I'm not a guitar player but I appreciate fine instruments and woodworking projects! At 3:16 I can't help but look at the grain pattern and think to myself that I would have joined the far left to the far right. It wouldn't have been "book matched" but it would have been sort of a book match.

I guess a workshop build takes a helluva lot longer than a guitar build... I feel cheated being left at a cliffhanger but I guess the quality of your build will be well worth the wait.
P.S. I have a guitar build I'm currently doing on my knees but I've ordered a table vise I will add to a mini workbench that I will need first for the more precise work so I get why a workshop is necessary. Can't wait to see your progress.

Is it just me or is this going to become the world's thickest Tele? Also, it looks like the input jack won't be in the middle after you put the top on. Have you had really bad experiences with input jacks, so you felt you needed to engineer a solution? I'm not sure why you made a template template. The plastic one seemed thick enough to do the job.
