Shipping definitely adds up so fast, and it’s so easy to forget that it’s an expense for this sort of thing. I didn’t know you could get shipping by sea. That’s awesome. These are such smart things to consider, and it’s a great idea to really give some thought to your crystal niche. I didn’t realize there were so many ways to make my shop stand out, but this has really given me a lot to consider. Thanks for the great advice!!

I need advice! My customers really wanted me to have a website but as soon as i bought a domain and got a website i've had 1 sale! My photos are great quality, the site is easy to use... im so confused! What could i be doing wrong?
I’m guessing you typically sell on live sales? I know a lot of live sale sellers who don’t bother with a website or have one since some people don’t like shipping live sales! If you just launched it I suggest promoting so people know you have it! Just give it some time, if you do live shows make sure you share you have a website!
Hi from Dubai ...your info is so helpful..I follow all your advises to the T ...as Iam startin my own shop! I have a very very raw piece of clear quartz cluster ..but it’s dirty and the sandy dirt colors are stuck to the cluster all most a part of it and wouldn’t come out..it almost looks orange yellowy brown quartz ..could you advise how u can clean it ..like I don’t know dip it in baking soda or something 🙈
If it Quartz you can leave it in water. The crystal may naturally be that color. I wouldn’t use any harsh chemicals on it though
Just some critical feedback: great content! Would be delivered better without the excess use of sliding transitions (the noise accompanying the transition gets quite annoying and some of the cuts seem really unnecessary). Great video and tips though!
Thank you, I appreciate the feedback! It’s so hard as a creator to keep peoples attention and these topics can be quiet boring. But I can see how it feels like too many transitions!
One way to keep doing that might be to just change the volume of some of these so it isn't double the volume of your actual voice ♡
Hello, I have a question about buying from crystal shop live shows and online. Is it "against the rules" to buy from a crystal shop, online (ex. Etsy, IG live), and then resell them in your own crystal shop?
I mean no, but your mark up will be huge and you'll either will lose money or you will have trouble selling it because you're charging too much. Its like if you were to buy a tshirt from target and then resell it. Unless you're reselling for a lot less you won't make any money and people won't want to pay the upcharge when they can get it cheaper. Unless you're just doing it to de-stash thats the only reason I can see doing that.
Someone was telling me about an SBA loan for small businesses during the pandemic that can be used for inventory so I thought of doing this however while trying to complete the application I was asked for my business name... this made me wonder if I should be registering my crystal shop with the BBB...do you know if I need to register with the BBB regardless of the SBA business loan?
I believe that loan is for existing business, not to start a business, I'd talk to a financial advisor.

Do you think it’s wise to start the Etsy route and then later on move into the live show realm?
I think so, you can get a feel for what running a biz is like first at a slower pace! And you’ll be more knowledgeable and have a customer base already established!

I have a Patreon where I offer business advice! I’d check the laws to make sure you can legally run a business being under 18. You also need to pay taxes so I’d encourage you to make sure you’re not doing things illegally
You could add smaller crystals (if they’re real) to a crystal confetti! Even though you’ve probably figured something out by now

Oh yeah it blows my mind! Some of the crystals I have are carved in so much detail I don’t even know how they did that!

I found a miner from Indonesia. What prices do you feel is fair? We are talking $50-70 /kg. With free shipping. We are taking a lot like friends. Is this normal?
Hey! Prices are going to vary from country to country. I’ve seen prices from $30 a kilo to $150 a kilo so that within the range. It depends on the rareness of the Stone! Free shipping is great! Usually it’s not offered but nice if they have it! Yeah it’s totally normal!

It wouldn’t be the best because they’re often either much smaller than expected or fake. There are worldwide wholesalers who are probably cheaper though!

Super hard to determine! Best advice is to work direct with a miner! But selection can be limited!

My budget was 1,500 ended up spending 3,500 😂
