Redesigned 2025 Equinox

I don’t understand this vehicle, it has the weakest engine and yet the fuel economy is the worst among competitors, what happened?

I would say with the redesign might have hurt the aerodynamics, but it has not dropped much since the 2024 MOY. A FWD LT for 2024 combined MPG was 28 and a 2025 FWD LT is 27. The 2024 AWD LT was 26 with a 2025 AWD LT is the same at 26.

The problem is that the Equinox has competitors. This is the most competitive segment in the market. It was a huge misstep he when there are hybrids and more fuel efficient gas engines in this class. If this thing got Rogue-like mpg it may have been top of the class. It’s a shame.

@@devynm1309 This is true and Chevrolet decided which direction they were going back in 2019. After they discontinued the Volt and moved away from hybrids to either ICE or all electric.

@@SoUhGalProductions Maybe, but what I really just mean is I'm surprised their ICE vehicles are not more fuel efficient like competitor ICE vehicles, like the Rogue.
