I bought an ounce of silver off eBay and got a second hand pamp bar in the wrapper and still with the original roof of purchase some big companies off load their second hand stuff on eBay look for bullion by post but that was a one off I don't get why ppl don't just buy from Swiss mints and the bars are all direct from refinery's and today a kilo was only 20over spot

I really like Scottsdale silver. However they are very expensive here in Britain because of shipping from America,import tax and VAT @20%(that is 20% on top of spot + premium).
I always liked the look of bars over coins but I have zero bars. I stack for the SHTF and having coins in hard tubes is easy to throw in back pack and go
Peter benn pan , my first piece was a 10 ounce bar from Monarch. It was $185 bucks. When I got the bar I knew I was hooked. Since then I’ve traded about 7k for silver. Remember you don’t buy silver. Your trading paper currency for metal currency. That fact let’s you invest in silver much more aggressively.
The bars are nice but I'm just a lot more satisfied by coins because many change every year and can gain numismatic value although they usually carry a higher premium.
I bought a few of those Scottsdale stackers and people on YT criticized the hell out of me. Not really sure why? Do you not ever buy anything smaller than two ounces?

Beautiful seeing all that shiny white metal. Aren't you concerned, though, about poured bars? I mean, they are much easier to counterfeit or tamper with than detailed rounds or bars. If someone scraped a tiny bit of silver off and polished it could you tell? Or hollowed it out? With the Queens Beast or Silver Eagles it would be near impossible. Poured bars just seem risky to me. When it comes time to sell them, they may be more scrutinized.
David C I only buy from very large reputable dealers. Apmex, Scottsdale, JM Bullion, provident to name a few. These guys simply can’t and will never sell fake silver. In fact they have a buy back price so if I ever want to sell I’m 100% sure they will buy it back from me. I normally buy silver when I can buy it for 25-90 cents over spot. You just can’t get those deals in coins. It’s the best way to add weight to the stack with the lowest premium possible
There's no doubt they're real. I trust those dealers too. But if our currency collapses or there is a major catastrophe that makes silver one of the only stores of value, it will be hard to sell/trade those. You pay a little more for Silver Eagles but they will be 100x easier to use as currency if it ever comes down to that. Poured bars will have to be assayed. Maybe I'm just too careful but I avoid poured silver even though they are cool looking.
Ebay, you got those from ebay? I only hear people talking about getting ripped off on silver anything from ebay. I hope it didn't happen to you but you might want to get that stack checked to make sure you don't have a bunch of silver covered lead.
John Smith, every metals dealer has an authorized store on eBay. Scottsdale, MCM, Provident, ect, all have stores on eBay and more important they have flash sales with amazing deals. They will sell .75 over spot from time to time and that’s when you buy. I have no fake silver in my stack since I buy from precious metals dealers only

you know when you buy over $1,500. at a time there is no tax. Don't buy one bar a month. Save up so you can spend over 1.5K and you will save a lot on taxes
Very pretty, but have you read these new laws already passed in 13 states? They all say US mint issued coins only. Not a thing in there about rounds and bars.
