I did not realize how old these videos are the videos are vintage now lol 😂. I now only pick up vintage silver and or rounds . + eagles of course. Thank you for sharing
haha, yes, some of my vids are several years old - I do have a more recent bar video from Jan 2019: ruclips.net/video/zjrKhqN1S50/видео.html thanks for stopping by
It's encouraging to not only see such a fine collection of bars you have here. But, also your enjoyment of collecting them no matter the price of silver. What a fine display you have shown here. Very nice! Thanks for sharing!
Oh hell yeah! I absolutely love your bar stack and all the vintage poured bars. I have been trying to pick some up, but the premiums on them haven't come down much. Your older videos are what first turned me onto poured bars and I haven't looked back since! That snake bar is made by NTR. And thanks for the shout out, it is humbling that you like my video enough to recommend it. Thanks!
Silver Slacker Yeah, I love the hunt for vintage bars that can be had for cheap. It doesn't happen often, but I love it when I find them! Oh, and you deserve that shout out - your recent pickups have been amazing!
LITTLE MOE SILVER you bet Little Moe - collecting silver bars has allowed me to scratch my collectors itch and still satisfy my desire to buy low premium silver.
Wonderful video. Bigstack McGee!! It's so great to see them all together. It must be a lot if fun to have them all out to play with!! Keep up the good work. Cheers.
Hey Bigstack, big fan of your videos, just curious what do you send to have refined? rounds you do not like? silver chains? I have about 140 lbs of silver plated copper, would they refine the silver of of that?
WOW, impressive and great diversity in availability of bars, there really is a lot out there and more coming out all the time, interesting stuff and a great store of wealth for the future
Wow, very cool! Do you have a limit to how many ounces you want, or is it essentially unlimited? I have one of those old AMark bars. One of these days, I'll get some more, but they aren't always easy to find.
Bars are the one thing I really have not purchased much of with the exception of a few Pamp bars. I kick myself for not buying them all this time that I have been stacking. Thanks for sharing its a great collection nice to have so many of the better brands. I also have always been a fan of the poured bars!
Beautiful bars !!! I question tho you said you sent silver to be refined by them! Could you give me a little info ! I have a bunch of 925 sterling jewelry and plates and odd stuff that I want melted !
hey i have a questions hopefully you can help me. today 2/15/15 at 928pm spot price is $17.39. a website has 1kilo RMC Silver Bar at $587.25. can you please let me know if im doing the math correctly? 1kl = 35.274 oz. so 35.274 oz (1kl) x $17.39 spot price = $613.41. They are selling at $587.25. Am I buying under spot price???
What does it cost to have silver sent to Prospectors Gold and Gem for processing into poured bars? I have some scrap .999 silver that I would like to condense into one big 100 ounce bar.
So much more fun than a savings account. I like the shape on the Canadian Mint one. Didn't take Bigstack for the wandering eye type but from looking at the variety of his bars I may have to rethink that.
Think about this that 482 ounces today is 7,644 but when silver was 30$ 100 oz bar everyone was buying was 3000$! When silver goes to 30 it will be worth 14,460$. So now is a good time to buy at a little over 15$!
BigstackMcgee Lucky if you don't pay any VAT on Silver unlike here in the EU... (depending on what state you're in of course)..... tax on buying silver is a traversty...
+hb song There are ways to not pay VAT on silver in the EU- checkout Estonian silver etc... I'm no expert (I'm American), but there's info online. The government doesn't deserve your money on precious metals, they inflated their way away from PM's to begin with!
Bars are certainly my favorite form of silver. I really like the old, odd denomination bars that were hand poured, as each one is definitely unique. I have recently looked on ebay and was surprised to learn that those old odd denomination bars are actually becoming quite pricey. The older and uglier the better when it comes to bars! Thx for sharing.
Hi bigstack! NTR does those lunar 10oz bars. Many of your vintage bars command a significant premium on ebay, and I know our LCS always sells them close to spot regardless so we try to pick up ones we know we can flip. At some point it would be great of you did a video focusing on your vintage bars and what you can get for them if you know how to sell them. I would do it myself but I'm so behind on video making already I'd probably not get to it until spot prices have come back up to 2011 levels LOL
Silver Siren Hey Siren, Thanks for the info on the NTR Lunars. I think a video on how you can benefit from vintage bars is a great idea - I'll try to add it to the list. Have a good one!
Very impressive bar stack you got going on there, god bless. I have a question on those A-mark bars though. I been looking to pick some up for a while now, but I am a pretty cheap dude. What do you consider a reasonable premium on those? The lowest I've seen them recently is $28. on eBay. that's like a 80% premium. Should I bite the bullet or do you think I can do better?
jorge vizuet Thanks Jorge, I appreciate the info. but unfortunately for me apmex charges sales tax where I live, That would jack the price up higher than the $28. I've seen it for. I am just curious about the normal premium on the bars, I really don't want to overpay. ;-)
At last someone with some common sense. This guy collects bars because they are cheaper than buying coins with pretty pictures on them. He also doesn't wear gloves because he has common sense and knows silver will not spoil or react with skin. You fucking nerds take note of this guy. This is how you do it!
Congratulations on being ready for the vampire apocalypse ;-) Kidding aside, quite a variety of silver bars you have. Bars have not been part of my stack strategy but you almost convince me to start. Thank you for sharing.
halfdollar1 I appreciate it halfdollar1 - I love high quality coins too, but there's something great about silver you can touch, lol. Thanks for watching
I am so glad that you are still on this path, and I am sure so will your children. Prices change, but our investing principles should be as solid and sturdy as a lighthouse that keeps getting battered by a ferocious and unrelenting sea.
Beautiful stack. Have my eyes open for one of those Andorra bars....sexy right there. Especially like the " generic" local pickups! I could only be so lucky...
question, is the crazy premium on some of these bars worth it in the long term? Do people actually seek these vintage and rare bars? Im finding it hard to grasp the reasoning behind why this or that specific bar cost so much, silver is just silver no? why does a stamp or maker make it worth so much?
Mounir Hessasta Great question. Yes there is a collectors market that exists for certain rare and unique bars. Although eBay is one of the primary marketplaces to move them. I am not willing to pay exorbitant prices for silver bars, and I am thrilled when I can find more exotic pieces for very close to spot.
Nice bars Bigstack. Iv been watching your videos for a long time and enjoy them. My favorite bars to stack are the 10 oz Scottsdale stacker bars, I love how they look and stack. What happened to your intro music and title? I loved your intro.
Silverrush sorry, no intro on this one, but I'm glad you enjoyed the vid. I've wanted some of those Scottsdale stacker bars for a while now, but I haven't pulled the trigger yet.
BigstackMcgee You wont be disappointed. I highly recommend them. Since you dont have any, buy at least 2 of em. One by itself looks to lonely :) They are stacktastic!
BigstackMcgee Also, the Hercules silver coins are really nice as well. Its like the Zombucks series but each coin is only available for 1 month and than they stop making them.
Been really into kilo bars recently. The up front fee is a little pricey, but on average less than $.60/oz premium. Save $ in the long-term.. Scotsdale does have nice looking bars. Premium can be silly sometimes.
Hi I put up a video about asking if its a good idea to invest in 40% silver coins and also wondering if its a smart idea to invest in gram pieces I'm new to this I'm only 20 years old and I really need some guidance
money challenge1 good question - I have a bag of 40% silver myself, but I am not currently getting more. 40% silver is not highly sought after. While you can purchase it for very close to spot, most will not give you spot in return due to factoring in the cost of refining. I would avoid gram pieces, because the premium is high. To someone new to this, I recommend starting by buying generic silver as close to spot as possible, government minted coins when you can find a sale on the premiums ($2 over), and 90% US Silver coins when it can be had close to spot. Good luck!
***** The percentage changes depending on how much you are having done, and how pure the stuff is you are sending in to be refined. In my situation, They kept their cut right from what I sent in, so I did not have to pay any cash. I don't have an exact figure for you, but it was quite reasonable IMO
BigstackMcgee I have about 20-25 oz of sterling silver in the form of plates and dishes that I wonder if it would be worth refining into silver bars. The old sterling hollowware takes up a lot of space but I don't want to sell it at today's low silver prices. Anyway keep up the good work with your silver bar collection. You can turn it into a hobby worth "investing" in.
I often wonder why people like to get so much variety. If I had the money to invest in this quantity, I think I'd spend a long time choosing the style I liked then get all the same bars. Would look nice and neat stacking this quantity of bars but all in the same size/shape/style.
Recent buyer myself of late nice few grams there, Dont forget that word SWAG, Silver / Wine / Art / Gold,,you need all 4 remember, Gold & Art are the real winners of the 4,,peace.

I love it, watched it on HD. Nice bars
MrSilverup Thanks man!

Very nice collection of silver bars bigstack
Awesome variety of bars. Looks like Kilo and chunky's are your favorites? Poured bars are nice because of their little variations.
Beautiful bars !!! I question tho you said you sent silver to be refined by them! Could you give me a little info ! I have a bunch of 925 sterling jewelry and plates and odd stuff that I want melted !

I've been inspired by your poured bars and slacker's and got myself some kilo bars, hope you like them!
So freaking beautiful!

Johnny Cashless great question - I wouldn't want to pay more than $4 over for those. Still, they are hard to find that cheap
BigstackMcgee Thanks. I'll keep watching out for them then.

I am new to bars. I don't need to store them in plastic cases do I? Can i keep them all out so i can play with them?
what is website you recommend to buy silver ?
On the vintage bars how do you avoid fakes on old ones I am new and like old things so the vintage interest me but want to be careful
That's a nice haul for one month.
Love your channel, very interesting bars.
I am so glad that you are still on this path, and I am sure so will your children. Prices change, but our investing principles should be as solid and sturdy as a lighthouse that keeps getting battered by a ferocious and unrelenting sea.
Tom Samad couldn't agree more!
Beautiful stack. Have my eyes open for one of those Andorra bars....sexy right there. Especially like the " generic" local pickups! I could only be so lucky...
It's dips like these that help stackers separate themselves from the rest and making full use of the winds behind their sails.
hotneo7 couldn't agree more, hotneo -
Those OPM's and Englehard's are my FAV!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I want!!!!!!!!!!
Very nice man! I'm loving the low prices as of late.

24K ArabiaFelix The intro will come back, don't worry ;) - I definitely love the bars (I just can't wait until I can get some of the gold ones too!)

TheM3Silver thanks M3!
Been really into kilo bars recently. The up front fee is a little pricey, but on average less than $.60/oz premium. Save $ in the long-term..
Scotsdale does have nice looking bars. Premium can be silly sometimes.
Incredible!
If I had a stack of silver like this, I wouldn't exactly be advertising it. I would shut my face and go sleep on my silver lined mattress.
Very impressive! Great job keep it up...it's insprational
Silver ByTheOz will do, SBTO - thanks for watching!

GenghisKhan22 haha, thanks Genghis

Great video bro!!! i loved this video
Well done!
James Koval thanks James!
Now that's a stack!
How much does Prosector gold and gems charge to refine sterling silver to pure silver bars?
Well done! A kilo or 500g Geiger bar would look great in your collection. Try one on for size - you won't regret it. Best regards.
Thinking Man Factory A Geiger bar is on my list - I can't wait to get one!
Great stack man 👍
Big Stack
Love the JM KILO
No 100 Oz bars ? They are at some of the lowest premiums right now.
I often wonder why people like to get so much variety. If I had the money to invest in this quantity, I think I'd spend a long time choosing the style I liked then get all the same bars. Would look nice and neat stacking this quantity of bars but all in the same size/shape/style.
Bo Zo I love a bit of anal. Oops, didn't mean it like that!
My lord thats sexy! Great stuff man!
Brian TheLog Thanks a bunch Brian!
