I am working as a Tech support Associate L1 in my current company and i recently took part in their up skilling program and i successfully completed it and i am the only one who is being considered for the next role which is far more advanced than the existing one " Operations Analyst" and this position is 4 levels ahead from my role. So my question is should I ask salary as my MAN no or accept what they offer and i want to do a course on data science so I am not sure how i want to do the course right now like offline or certificate so how can I put it in front of them that they yes to this .
Negotiating is my friend! I am currently negotiating an international job offer. The offer I received was significantly lower than my MAN. It surprised me that "they" mentioned my current salary and based their offer on that. However, this is a totally new role and different departments within the organization. Wish me luck!
All rounds cleared, waiting for HR discussion and it landed me here. Luckily, everything I wanted to hear before the call. I will have my feedback once I have the call. Till then so many Thanks for this.
The reason I think Thursday works best is because the recruiters do NOT want to push the final numbers to next week and want to ensure that everything is sorted ASAP on or before Friday. Crossing weekend will mean that a total of 4+ days have been lost, starting Thursday and like you said, hiring of a suitable candidate can take months. The recruiters will prefer to keep any delays to minimum.
@@SuperChargeYourself Hey Sonal. Thank you for the acknowledgement. I came across your videos yesterday and started to understand how to make some of the things work better and favourable. And by now, you must have understood why 🙂 I remember it happened to me twice in past that the HR was happy giving me 30% on my existing salary. But, I was lucky enough to negotiate 50% + in both of these two cases. Once again, I am going through a transition and your video has cleared my mind because I was already of the "assumption" that I am at a pretty high level, but I guess, I can try and push for higher diplomatically (without being pushy)
Negotiating is my friend. At the moment I am negotiating, trust me this advice works, 15 minutes into the interview it ended I was confused but thanked them for the opportunity. Two days ago I was offered the job. Now I am testing your negotiation advice stay tuned.😮😮😊😊
Negotiating is my friend. Thank you Sonal for sharing so much on the importance & etiquette of negotiating the right way for the right reasons. Watching while preparing for one tomorrow. I hope to have the courage, comfort and confidence to ask what I truly deserve. Thanks again.
Negotiations are my best friends :) Thank you for advance. About resection, from my experience I can tell: it is always not personal, it is always good for you! Important that you learn and keep going with positive energy. More you try more you learn about yourself and see everything with bigger perspective. I wish success for everyone!
The Oliver Twist syndrome 😂 gave me a good laugh...it's so true. Thank you for sharing. This is an absolutely great platform to get that motivation to ask what you are worth. Greetings from South Africa.❤❤
@@SuperChargeYourself I'm in the process now and I used some of your tips. I don't feel Oliver Twist syndrome anymore after watching some of your videos. Thank you so much for sharing. You are really making a difference in so many ppl's lives. Stay blessed
Negotiating is my friend. You're a blessing Sonal! Thank you for making this process more friendly and giving us confidence to punch that fear in the face. :D Thank you!
@@SuperChargeYourself Thanks Sonal for wishing me good luck. Like I mentioned as a reply to your another video, though the salary expectations were set in the beginning, HR came up with a proposal of 35% less than my current salary which was disappointing. My Technical discussions went really well and I could see the Panelists of both the rounds were well impressed. The approach from HR at the end still keeps me thinking why did this happen. I respect time and hence the expectations were set in the beginning itself. It was my dream company to work for but I don’t see any reason to join for a much lesser salary than my current one, even my current salary is below market standards. I just quoted 15% above my current salary.
Negotiating is my friend! You're advises are fantastic Sonal! I have upcoming interview next Monday and if I got this, I'll be moving to other coutry that's why your videos are very helpful and gold! I'll watch it again over the weekend and rehears in front of the mirror... thank you so much again
Thanks for watching! You mean when you want to negotiate at your current job for a promotion? A lot of the principles still apply. You want a business case and show the value that’s been added because of your presence. Good luck!
Another great video on negotiating salary. Your earlier video has helped me to negotiate hard and got the salary I wanted in my last offer. I wanted to get some more motivation in looking for another job, glad to have come across this video again. Thank you.
Hi Sonal I have been watching your videos for the past couple of days it has given me and I open a it is really really help thank you for making this videos
I wish I saw this sooner! In one of my initial interviews the employer asked me what my salary expectations were and I gave them a number- I should have started higher. Although if I do get selected for the position I do plan on negotiating still as I know my worth and what I’m bringing to the table. Thank you so much for your content! It is very helpful and I really appreciate your insight!
Always get a lawyer or paralegal to review an employment agreement or contract before signing - companies have legal staff draft it to be in their advantage. I got screwed because of 2 sentences that I misunderstood because there were in legal language I misinterpreted. It led me to sign away a few rights. It is really worth the small fee for legal advice.
After accepting an offer letter if one gets a better offer from another company, in that case How to say no in a positive and polite way to the 1st company?

Should one always negotiate the highest salary possible? Like you said, once you are on the job, they will be watching you, thinking "where is our return on investment?" Is it better to put oneself at an appropriate salary level, so one does not need to be stressed out trying to meet lofty expectations?
Amazing. "Negotiating is my friend"..... Is there a dedicated talk about non-cash component. I am frankly super excited about continuing education; even extra week of vacation. These are often with held till 3 yr vesting. How to get that upfront during negotiations?
If you watched till the end, firstly, thank you! I covered a LOT here. And don’t forget to add that sentence, love knowing!
