I came across your videos one night, when I was up reevaluating my life. I'm a father of five daughters, and I just watched this video of your first solo flight and the absolute sense of accomplishment in your eyes, your smile and your whole posture is absolutely amazing. I'm in a rough place in life right now. However, your video has inspired me and motivated me to get out and start chasing some of my dreams and goals. One of them, being learning either how to fly a small airplane or helicopter. Thanks for sharing your adventure, congratulations and may God bless you and all your future ventures. Cheers
Thank you so much for your kind words, i truly appreciate it! I wish you all the best in chasing your dreams, and feel proud that these videos have been such an inspiration to you. My dad started flying small planes when I was young, and I have the fondest memories of our adventures together. Hopefully you will be able to share the joy of aviation with your daughters too :)
I'm a fixed wing pilot, aircraft nut and have watched hundreds of aviation videos. Among those is lots of "first solo" content. This is the greatest first solo footage I've ever watched! I am literally in tears! The joy and freedom of that first flight alone is so evident and you're completely full of emotions that are almost indescribable! The aircraft flies more responsibly, you're freaking alone, happiness engulfs you. You giggle & laugh. _There's nothing like your fist solo!_ A commercial license, instrument rating and hundreds of hours later, my first solo is still the ultimate moment in the air! What a lovely video! Thanks for sharing!

There are few things more emotional for a pilot than a “first solo.” You made me relive my first FW solo in 1975, and my first helicopter solo in 2000. It literally brought a joyous tear to my eye. Thank you!
I did my first solo in 2011 in a 172. The day was absolutely perfect. Light wind, not a cloud in the sky, 45F, nobody else in the pattern. I remember when I turned onto the runway (untowered airport) and started to push in the throttle, I said out loud: "If I fuck this up, I'm dead". There was no worry at all, though, everything went so smooth, and I had done the same thing so many times it honestly didn't even feel that scary or anything. 3 takeoffs, 3 landings. It really didn't hit until about the next day that I had flown an airplane all by myself! It was incredible. Still one of the coolest things I've ever done. Sadly, I had to exit aviation due to financial worries and I haven't been able to rejoin. I miss it so much :(
My first solo was IMPOSSIBLE to believe, i took off thinking i was dreaming. Like you will be solely responsible for the plane and everything that happens after takeoff. Maybe it's a joke! But its real.
The first time you are alone in an aircraft in the air, is a really amazing feeling! You also realize, it’s entirely up to you now. You are right, it’s hard to explain what that feels like. I remember thinking my life was now totally in my own hands. There aren’t many places you can experience that.

I remember my 1st solo 20 years ago. I felt your enthusiasm while watching this video and was smiling right along with you because it's exactly how I felt. Sadly, I only got to 135 hours in the Bell 47 before all funding ran out and life stepped in with some changes. But, it's a feeling I will never forget. Nice job!!
WOW!! Such a great video and so fun to watch your expressions!! I am glad that your instructor made a comment about the weight difference without him. I was 16 when I soloed in a Cessna 150 many6 years ago. We did 3 touch & goes, he told me to let him out and told me I was ready to give it a try. By this time, I only had 8 1/2 hours in. This was just a small community airport in NW Arkansas. I let him out and taxied back to take off. He never mentioned anything about the weight difference. I barely got down the runaway about a 1/3 of what I was used to, the plane just seemed to jump in the air, the stall alarm went off, the nose was very high, I instinctively reached down to the trim wheel and just spun it up to bring the nose down. I am proud to say, everything went well after that. When I was in my flight pattern, it was like the happiest day of my life. I was just freaking screaming, laughing and crying at the same time. It was so surreal and so peaceful. Although I loved it so much and after so many years of flying, I never felt that exhilaration again, I never forgot that feeling, and I remember it like it was yesterday. But nothing can compare to the first time alone, never. The feeling of accomplishment and peace. Congratulations!!!!
1983, Ft. Rucker, AL. I experienced the same thrill ride, in a Hughes 269 trainer. I was in celebration mode for the rest of the day. I went on to fly the Huey and Chinook. It was the best years of my life, flying choppers.

I love watching other people's first solo. I regret not filming my own now..
Wow! You're doing so great..😊
Your sheer joy on accomplishing flight took me back to my own first solo. Bravo, congrats and welcome to the friendly skies!
"I'm Alone", no, "you're not" GOD is your Co-Pilot, NEVER forget that !!! ❣💓❣

The perfect woman doesn't exi..........
Flying is liberating. Flying alone is more than liberating!
Remember my first solo at Pueblo Air Field in Pueblo, CO in a Piper Tomahawk. Really no other feeling like it, looking over and realizing you're alone. This was one of the most genuinely happy video's I've seen in a while. Thanks for sharing
Well done, Miss Bambi. May every flight be as magical as this one was!
I love it she talks the whole time !!! and says "I'm speechless !
That big grin and silly laugh brought back happy memories of my first solo fixed wing flight; an awesome feeling that always stays with you
Great job! I did my first solo in a WCS trike last year. It's so exhilarating when you're alone. Fly safe!
You did perfectly. You didn’t seem to want to stop. Can’t blame you. I see you are 23 years old, great to see such a young beautiful lady getting started flying. Your face is so pretty. You must have a wonderful personality too. Thanks for sharing.
Nice job!!
You're a natural!!
Amazing! Congratulations!
It was the best years of my life, flying choppers.
no cap, i wudda shed tears because no feeling is better than accomplishing dreams that seem impossible
