Wow, that first edition published in 1009 must be worth a ton of cash! And reprinted my monks in Latin, what a great cover. Though with 1012 years between editions I'd expect more content in the later version... But, I'll certainly look for a copy, the updated version, for my collection.
I recently started to collect vintage .22 pistols and started with a Nomad produced at FN in 1968. It's in beautiful condition and despite being the low end of Browning's .22 pistol offerings at the time, it demonstrates the fine construction that was and is associated with FN and sports a 1.5 lb trigger. I love it!
Have you considered a review on the Browning Auto-5 shotgun? Huge amount of history behind it with its extensive military links! I myself own one which was at one time a British Army issue version! I know they also saw service in the jungle at one point. Would love to hear your concise history of the model.
I have a 1906 FN Browning "Vest Pocket Pistol" and wanted to know some of it's history. I sent an e-mail to FN with the serial number of the pistol and they wete kind enough to go through the records and told me it was manufactured during the last month of WW2. So it was probably made during those V-1 strikes.
Genuinely interested in what he has on the 1922, I tried to look up the one I got from my great grandpa but I could never reach a conclusive decision on what variant it is. I may have to pick this up one day.
Hi Ian, another great book review! Have you ever come across any reference books on 19th century Imperial Russian long arms? In particular on flintlock musket and early conversion percussion muskets ?
and after this video Ian spent the rest of the evening reading this book and drinking more of those whiskey, we can see standing on the globe. right he has.
@@ForgottenWeapons Dang, I was hoping for some information on the best crossover episode in history: Brownings-Mauser-Wauser-FNBelgique-Brevet-Enfield. I wonder who this Brevet guy was.
Any chance you can do a video on good DVDs? Where I work there is no internet or reception but we have a dvd player. Everyone is into guns and we watch movies on brakes. Would love to watch some good guns content.
Available from Amazon UK for £206.98. Around $330!
3:45 Imagine that, media making assumptions on firearms when they have no idea what they are talking about (sarc).

Is the research in both or either book good enough to be used as a credible reference to quote? Are the sources for the book listed? THANKS IAN!
Ian, is that a flap long john you are wearing under your smoking jacket?
Does Ian take part in civil war reenactments? He should with such luxurious facial hair.
He said reenacting wasn't really his thing in the last q&a when someone asked a similar question.
I just love it when you wax rhapsodic!
