- I'm still working on the TCG video. In the meantime, lets look back at one of my earlier videos in which I talked about possible loot improvements and how much of it actually ended up happening and what could possibly be still improved!

The new purps are a game changer. More people, shorter/easier, and better loot with a much better chance of getting Gigas IVs to drop in general. Still gotta duel my ass off to make Glans but it's so much better now.

The CV thing is SO frustrating too becuase if you go into the arks badge shop and start scrolling through the CV camos really fast, occasionally it'll glitch and the preview will show you one weapon with the CV of the previous camo instead of the proper one, which means that the game is FULLY CAPABLE OF RENDERING CUSTOMIZABLE CVS BUT THEY JUST CHOOSE NOT TO GIVE IT TO US AAAAAAA
This 100%, I’ve also seen that happen. Color variants should only be a color variant of the weapon skin itself imo, changing the color of your photon arts should be a freely changeable choice separate from the weapon.
I love the elemental weapon camos but I seriously hate that they don’t have the PA color to match them

It's been a year since the last video? Oooh boy, it surely doesn't feel like it.
I'm in a rough spot with NGS as a whole. I want to play, but it feels like nothing major has changed since. I know that's not true, but I wouldn't know about any of the changes if I didn't come to see this video. A lot of changes under the hood, but I wonder how many people who play casually even know that these weapon changes are a thing. If I didn't hop online to watch, I would just hit the level cap and make sure my BP is good enough.
Anyway, I just feel that the changes to the game are super small or slow coming. But that might just be my bias as a casual player. I know my sister play casually too and she knows even less than I did. But I am glad that people are still enjoying the game and that content is coming out. You don't get to 3 years by being a dead game. I just wish I could see it more.

I think the loot is overall fine; i would like to see something that expands on the current augment system such that certain augments cater to certain classes or weapon series. There was something similar with Verschmelz (full potency) vs other weapons (hybrid potency and pot floor) but the same weapon series shouldn't just be re-released every time we go up a rarity star. This could make loot more exciting, depending on the materials that a player gets and whether they are relevant to the build they want.
5:54 YES! I wanted to have the ability to change the colors of at least the CV version of the Weapons/Camos to whatever color you want. and I been wanting/demanding such change for quite awhile now.
Base has a similar feature for some of the weapons in that game, so why not allow us to do the same for NGS weapon under the CV name to be colored as well? And it's such a easy feature to add.
6:25 also I didn't know that was possible never knew till now, in that case then WHY SEGA!!! JUST ALLOW US TO CHANGE THE COLORS OF THE CV WEAPONS ALREADY!!!

I'll say this as a PSO2 Fi/Techter I ended up defaulting to etoile because well it played the closest to what I thought Techter would play like... Now PSO2 NGS Techter is actually closer to etoile than ever before which makes me happy.
But it is still rough around the edges. For example the smash charge slows things down way too much, the big damage is nice and i frames though but part of what Etoile had that made it fun was it always was doing something.
The way they could have improved it was to make it so counter hits build element on the enemy and want lover final basic attack hit procs the element, then if you cast right after its a full charge cast automatically which sets into the twirly combo. Then the shock wave smash in wand lover builds element.
I think if they did that you'd really get a lot of combo strings and repositioning. But as it is techter is where it should have always been at a minimum imo.
With that said I found Te/Fo to be the best thing since sliced bread, especially as a generalist, bossing is okay and mobbing is crazy good.
Its still fine except when you get the yellow raredrop notification it should have been only 11star instead of Flugelgard jumpscare.

I think that personally, loot is still not in a great place. The amount of resources needed to max about a 10-star weapon are considerable, and mean playing more than one weapon/class is very expensive, and impractical for players with limited play time. Augment transfers will help somewhat, but it still feels like the time/benefit balance is weighted towards buying items from other players rather than grinding yourself.
i think that weapon elements should be put on every weapon based on its apperance and how we acquire them. The biggest example for this would the Kaizaar series which we get by crafting it with Icicle cubes and Icicle orbs in Kvaris but its not a Ice element?? another example would be Flugelgard which is modeled after Angels, has feathers as particle effects and gives you angel wings when activating its potencial, so is it not a light element? Sega ples fix :)
The augments in the base game did so much more than ngs like actually having different effects. Ngs feeling like everything do the same but just a bit better 😂

ultra rare loot still not worth the time. (dalion) i got an wingard from less purple runs compared to over 200 dalion runs and dalion with 500% and more.
face to face trade would be nice if we get it back. Lock it behind a archivement like: have 100h play-time and cleared ALL story and side-quests on halphia.
I mean shit, at this point yeah might as well add in Player Trading. Do it the way Warframe does it where there's a tax for it. Friends get to give each other gear and Mesata gets taken out of circulation still. People own like 40 banks worth of it at this point so they can just fake trade anyway by putting it at a price no one else normally would be able to afford. So why not let regular players be able to trade as well.
I would be supper happy if Sega just add a CV override slot (even just one global slot would be awesome) where you can shove any CV camo and it will apply only color change on top of anything you set up. This would unlock a floodgate of customization possibilities for me personally, where I can apply any camo onto weapon and then apply any CV on top of it.
Sadly enough they ignored this suggestion like 10 times or more.
Im sure we're gonna get it eventually. Apparently you can already bug CV previews in the player shop so its definitely possible!
what hurts my soul is how hard it can be sometimes to get a game going. sometimes i will queue up for purple or the ltq and there will be maybe 2 other people and i can't help but wonder: where is everyone...? probably in dext base? :( besides that the game has been improving and i'm looking forward to seeing what the new urban zone has to offer
Trying to do quests with random players isnt quite reliable. I recommend finding a group of friends who also wanna do the things you wanna do.
For example, yesterday i asked my alliance mates if anyone wants to farm DFI r2 and 3 of them agreed so we played that teigger 10 times and i got the rare Dark Falz Symbol Accessory ~
I was also thinking about how the color varients/element varient are heavily underused also cx
I miss this game but it needs a more indebt end game like base PSO2. I can leave NGS for a year, log on & they just hand me gear to play max level EQ/UQs

Wasn’t different, but still can benefit from bein’ changed. Base PSO2 was riddled wit’ issues. Lol.
@@Cathy5614 As somebody who’s been in Phantasy Star since PSO1, PSU, and base JP PSO2, I’m speaking on divide quest for one and the S rank weapons had more variety enchantments such as life steal, etc. Even PSU had 10 star weapons that could do things like a burn damage over time. Elemental weapons could proc status effects. Grinding for weapons felt exciting because of the variety. Nothing about these weapons stand out compared to the others. Maybe once we get higher star weapons, it’ll feel different. The NGS weapons feel lacking anything exciting compared to other Phantasy Stars. I guess y’all would have to play & collect weapons in the other games to know what I’m speaking on.

@@bonaelzee that's cool but we weren't talking about weapons, we were talking about endgame. PSO2 had no endgame until EP5 started introducting Masq and Endless Quests. Throughout the entire PSO2 life you had nothing to do other than run UQ and nothing forced you to upgrade your equipment, hence why JP had expert matching so you could filter out people who cared about their gear and those who didnt.
I would go rabid if we got the weapon crafting system from Classic. Doesn't have to be the exact same thing, but I love the idea of dismantling something down to it's base components and then making up to 3 weapons in a linear fashion to get to the highest rarity piece. As for untradable/tradable gear comment I agree the game needs both. It's just a shame that there's so much Meseta in circulation that makes player shops be so expensive. That's a multi layered issue for sure that gearing cannot solve completely. But I wish it helped more.
The preset skill to S grade augment comparison is interesting and I'd never thought of it like that. If we assume it's basically the replacement to S grades then they need to go harder on being able to upgrade them linearly. What we have right now is great, but it can and should be much better. I'd also still like something similar to S grades for gear to make them more than just stat sticks. The only thing that kind of does this is specific weapon series and the multi weapon system. Like, imagine if we had some NGS S-grades that allowed you a good deal of defense or PP management that you could have without having to sacrifice potency. or something.
I definitely agree with you on elemental weapons/weapon camos. The only other gripes I have aside from what I already mentioned and those is I'd really like it if they retroactively make DQ's prior to DQ4 as lax as DQ4 is. Aug sets for the specific DQ's would still be optimal, but those of us who don't want to can just get away with Budget BiS min maxing :T Summarized yeah gearing has gotten a lot better, I still think there's plenty of room to grow though and we should keep pressing them on it.
I don't want to touch on your thoughts about "no content/NGS bad" Since that's a whole other discussion and this comment is already going on long enough for a YT comment. I will say that NGS is getting better and I do like it more post Ver 2. But it's still not where I'd like it to be. I've more or less made peace with how NGS is and it will likely never reach the heights of my favorite things from Classic. But I still want them to try more. Like....a very small thing that I loved about booting up PSO2 was a new start screen with a new movie and new music. Seeing the same for years now and Nadreh still only singing the 2 songs she started with? Like come on maaaaaaan.
Yeaaaah i really dont get why we're still stuck on the same boot screen. Changing that would immediadly make the game look fresh and a new pre-rendered trailer would hype people up to return to the game!
My problem is 99% the content is only simple boss fight. That can get really fast boring. Leciel is only saved because all ship MM, Certain Duel Quest capsules would disappear/moved to a different content. Basically would kill DQ.. We need variety, not only content that just go/kill the boss/and out.
Drop rate, gearing improved, but too little. Really we need like 300-400% plus drop rate or more. Finaly we get bigger chance for a weapon which basically never drops to the majority of players who farm for hours or days.
Event weapons have been weaker for a long time. But at least you can save money on them. For Alt.char you can use it.
The new capsules are good, especially if you are 100% F2P player but they come with so many disadvantages, it is simply not worth using.
Not to mention, there are alliance who won't talk to you if you only use LC capsules. Or the new ones.
OW is nice, beautiful but almost completely useless now. Essentially almost everything available from anywhere form thr menu.
The game is in a thousand times better place than before. I also loved Aelio Giant AFK times. It was a very good time, I chat a lot with other people. I also found new friends. The game gives me almost everything I like, love.
I like the game where it is now,
understand those players who simply find it boring or don't feel that investing time is worth it.
What the future will bring.
Augment Transfer will be disastrous at first. DuDu level disastrous. 😂
The new area is beautiful and have high hopes for it. Some form the old AIS comming back. Im happy about it.

If a Alliance wont talk to you because you're using LC capsules you're honestly better off with a different team~
I don't mean this as a jab at anyone. It's clear there is a fundamental mismatch in priorities. My Alliance only cares for you to have fun with the game~ We've been growing quite a lot recently!
I think RDR is actually good where it is right now because the devs over time both add in new places for you to get the gear instead of one piece of content, but they gradually increase the drop rate if people aren't getting the amount they want to be happening. There are some specific sore spots though. Like Aegis souls still not having enough places to get outside of triggers/UQ's. We only just got a farmable place for Foundia. Preset skill droprate is still ass though. That definitely needs bumping.

I do feel like the devs have learned a lot when it comes to loot. They've added a ton of QoL changes since one year ago. Great video!
I think the problem I have as an OG PSO Ep. I & II player is that there is an issue with the loot progression as a whole, especially when it pertains to end game gear like Wingard along with the samey feeling quests. In regards to quests...Purples are fun for a few runs but boss rushes get old pretty fast imo. The LTQ on the other hand...I don't know why but i just don't enjoy it. Even though you're moving through an area and killing mobs.
Biggest thing for me is that the seasonal LTQs and quests don't really feel as fun as the same forest, caves, mines and ruins layout OG PSO had. That minor randomization just made the game feel more fun, that and you felt like you were actively exploring an area. Leceil is a good attempt at this but the square rooms really kinda feel..blah. I guess I want somethin more like challenge or divide quests that feel like actual dungeons.
Another problem with the end game loot is the fact that once you have it, you're kinda done. Take wingard for example. It's nice to have but not needed at all. Now if there were some super hard quests that dropped something like camos that were sellable that you actually had to have wingard for, I think that would give something to actually farm. Right now, the loot feels like farming and grinding for the sake of farming or grinding and that..doesn't really feel fun after 3000 hours. Pair that with the fact we still dont' have a mission pass badge shop and so, so much content being seasonal...The game could've been so much better imo.
That being said though the current state is definitely an improvement, little by little. Will be interesting to see Line Strike wehn it's implemented. I just want something different to do.
Divide Quests were peak PSO2 imo. I really love that Quest.
Likewise im very hyped for Line Strike. It has potential to breathe a lot of fresh air into the game. I'll be making videos on that one we have more information about it~
OK, my first thought went towards untradeable weapons/units. I'd somewhat understand if it only affected the recent new weapons 10*/11*, but some of us still keep sechetyl and kauklophis weapons somewhere, as it is just seems wasteful to use them for upgrading other gear as after lvl60 you need a tone of exp. Neos A and Verschmelz, while s till decent, they are also old weapons and should become tradable. It's not like they'll fetch a good price. And not to mention ARGENTI WEAPONS!!. You can't trade them, you can't multi weapon them, you can't use them for upgrading other weapon and just converting them to meseta? For 80 more meseta by piece??
That's how I use my older weapons. I either use them as EXP fodder to grind from level 1 to 80 in one step or just keep them for their effects in case they'll become important later~
the loot definitely improve over all and definitely for lots of my friends , just not for me .

imo. the endgame and loot rotations is in a near perfect loop. while i have some gripes on certain stuff. but at the same rime, game is a major improvement. just need one or two more things and it be a perfect setting.
Has there EVER been ANY reason to drop Tzivia and Primm weapons? Especially now? Just make them drop money instead, and if you really want one of those crap weapons you can go out of your way to buy one from the NPC shop... But better yet, delete them from the game at this point
Maybe in August will see 13 star rarity weapon and maybe 14 star at the same time
