Southgate's performance last night was without question the worst managerial performance I've ever witnessed. There's a number of issues I had but one stood out beyond all others and it's this. Why when the 37 year old Slovakian right back; who was on a yellow card and the game was stretched. did he not bring Gordon on to run at him? Gordon has caused havoc all year long against the premier leagues best right backs and scored against all of the top 6 sides.... His decision to not even give him a minute is bordering on utter negligence. He is a disgraceful football tactician who is an embarrassment to out game. If England do somehow win this Championship it will be despite of Southgate and not because of him. He's a bell end.....

Big Geordie is spot on about Mainoo, and his speed of thought. I noted on a number of occasions Mainoo would pass, run quickly into space in the box looking for a return pass, but then the person he’d passed to would stop, touch the ball, look around and then make a slow pass to the left or right or backwards. Mainoo’s football intelligence is different level. Others need to get up to speed.

Palmer gave the ball away over 10 times, he did not have a good game. We've been telling you all along the problem is that we have players on our wings who do not want to provide width and stretch the defense, that problem is called Phil Foden who should be in the 10 or on the bench. The solution is not Cole Palmer who has the same exact problem. We literally had 4 players who want to occupy the same central space on at the same time (Kane when he drop deep, Bellingham, Foden, and Palmer), a veritable clown show of management and we still have fans saying Saka is the problem and should be played at LWB. Palmer has been dogshit. He isn't a right winger. He's an attacking mid or false nine. Having left footed players on the right wing for england has been a massive failure, Saka has been just as bad. It's like having Antony on the right. There's no right foot being used so they just end up stopping and passing it backwards. Awful football.

The only thing Southgate has got is LUCK. With Kane, Foden, Bellingham, Palmer we've got players that can make something out of nothing. THAT'S the only way we're winning anything on past evidence this tournament! Southgate is an anchor

The channel has fallen so far behind that they completely stopped doing reactions alltogether coz they are not getting any views, therefore, not able to pay out the panel involved. Look, I'm a huge Chelsea & Palmer fan, but TG's point on not playing Gordon and having him run down the 37-year-old WITH A YELLOW CARD - that's about as damning of a mistake as a coach as we've seen from him. Scandalous. And this is AFTER Gordon played for 20 mins earlier in the tournament and EVERYONE said how good he was and how he should be playing more.

@@hamonryechinaski180 The crazy thing is that like 99% of pundits, former footballers, and fans have said: 1) Gordon should be on, 2) Bellingham should be playing further back, and 3) Palmer should start. (maybe more like 90% for the latter). It's wild to see so much consensus and then see Gareth doing something completely different. Just mind boggling. Also huge % of people saying to try a second striker with Kane more - Ollie or Toney. Just crazy how Gareth can be so far from almost EVERYONE else. And, in fact, haven't seen a SINGLE person say we should do what Gareth has been doing. Totally insane.

England fan from the States here (Chicago)...
I admit that I am still learning this game, so I won't be making any definitive statements about any part of the games England has played, nor the individual players.
However, I DO have eyes. I CAN see things that just don't make sense to me, don't look right.
I am kinda shocked that the Starting Lineups haven't changed, and the Subs are... perplexing to say the least.
Why are the subs so late?
Why isn't Cole Palmer given A LOT more time on the pitch?
And, though I may not know exactly where each Player is most effective, I am puzzled as to why Southgate is starting Players at positions that they simpky are not accustomed to?
Also, I would like to ask (and I certainly appreciate any replies), what does it mean when Fans are saying that Harry Kane is "dropping off into the 10?"
Is this another instance of a Player being played out of position?
The last thing I wanted to say is, I am wondering why it seems like England has less urgency throughout the match than their opponents? There doesn't seem to be a lot of cohesion, almost zero flow to the attack.
Of course, I may be completely wrong. Still learning, but some of these things are very noticeable.
I don't know... I just want them to win this so bad.
