Unbelievable, It's not just the voice, but the staccato phrasing, the altering between voice and song. ABSOLUTELY PERFECT. The difficult tempo is perfect, the careful breathing, the sighing. The bitter laughter, the poignant pauses, the rueful phrasing. The song is so HARD, rough and stark. If it doesn't bring a tear, there is truly something wrong with you.

Today I listened to Peter's performance of "I'm Still Here," and the word "still" made me remember that his wife once released a song with that word that I recalled being something quite special. Returning here now, I can see again why this song and this performance left that lasting impression. Peter once did a neat promotion where people covered his wonderful Christmas song. I'd love to see this song get that same exposure. This song shakes me.
