Do keep in mind that the original organization XIII was only formed shortly before the first kingdom hearts game, I'd say at max they've been nobodies for a year, that being the longest amount of time I can imagine the heartless going wild in halowbastion without drawing attention to themselves.
Though this is completely head-canon, i would like to think that from the end of kh1 till the beginning of kh2, Sora was in a heartless like state. I see him similar to xehanort, a human like being of heart, and he got this state from Kairi’s princess of hearts power, which didn’t turn him back into a human, but merely restored a human like figure for him. Iirc, in com, Larxene says that Sora is the only other person aside from xehanort to keep a semblance of self as a heartless. And his body would technically be roxas at this point.
Nice video. I would also like to add that there is technically another person besides the princesses of heart that have no darkness in them, Ventus. Though, unlike the princesses, this was created artificially and instead of being born of pure light, his darkness was extracted leaving only light behind.
Thanks for the video guys. honestly the way I think about it the concept of heartless and nobodies sounds like it could be terrifying if put in like a horror setting or anything other setting. A corrupting influence that creates two separate monsters both of which start attacking other people trying to make themselves whole again spreading like a zombie plague
The whole “displays of emotion where just the nobodies remembering what it was like to have them” thing was revealed to be a lie. They were actually feeling real emotions because they were growing hearts. Xemnas was gaslighting them into believing into believing their emotions weren’t real to hamper the growth of their hearts as to make for easier vessels. This also explains nobodies aging, as a body without a heart does not age (Ventus for example). But once they had hearts, their bodies started aging again.
No it wasn't a lie, Xemnas never says he lied to them Sora asserted it, Xemnas was being intentionally cryptic about things when talking to Sora to make him angry and trick him into delving further into darkness, they were remembering how to act human at the start, those who developed connections as nobodies would begin to nurture a new heart inside them, but everything they said about nobodies was true as far as they knew at the time. Also they weren't nobodies for 10 years, they only become nobodies shortly before radiant garden falls, they aged as humans researching darkness, then became nobodies.
5:17 "Can only be harmed by magic, ensorcelled weapons, or keyblades." Meanwhile, I'm watching Tarzan butchering scores of Heartless, using a stick with a pointy rock tied to the end.
To be fair, most information we know about Nobody came from Xehanort first, who practically started by telling them what they are and that they are fake beings. While he wasn't wrong in saying they are a piece of someone else, telling them that they have no real heart or emotions was more a way to manipulate them into doing his bidding. Not only that, but at the time he was hiding himself away and saw just about everything from what he percieved as fact. The closest we have to a "natural Nobody" (as in not tampered or manipulated by Xehanort in some shape or form) is Namine, who is still not a fully natural Nobody since she was fed the same information if only through the false Organization XIII. I guess what I'm trying to say is that unless we meet a Nobody free from Xehanort's label and has a full humanoid/close-to-original form, we don't really know for sure what Natural Nobody are like or how they actually behave. Makes me realize how much Xehanort messed with the world and how easily he manipulated almost everything into his favor... 😢
i like how we have 10 lesser nobodies. each related to org 13 members. my favourite was always samurai. and now i know why. its related to roxas. who duels with 2 swords and fights fairly.
Correctin at 2:10 Kingdom Hearts in 1 was a place that held dark and light. Kinda like an origin and end point for both (heaven) It was 2 and Org13 that created a Kingdom Hearts by collecting (not eating) hearts
Remember there was a ten time frame between Brith by sleep and KH1 so some of the members of organization 13 before becoming Nobodies aged as regular people during most of those ten years. After becoming Nobodies they either stop aging or slowed to a crawl. Also Nobodies not be real and having no emotions was a lie Xemnas told in order to keep new hearts from being formed(except for Roxas, and Xemnas himself ironically ) I'm assuming Yin Sid and Ansem said they weren't real too because at the time the Nobodies were a threat that needed to dealt with and either they didn't know and or didn't care. Both these old guys have made mistakes or been wrong before.
It wasn't a lie, there just wasn't enough known about them at the time to know they could grow knew hearts, Xemnas was intentionally being cryptic when talking to Sora about this to draw him deeper into the darkness, but Ansem seeker of darkness, Xemnas, and assistant Xehanort were not fully aware of the real Xehanorts plans and were in fact attempting to piece together what they could about the nature of hearts and kingdom hearts from the fragmented memories they were able to gather through the research into the heart that the real Ansem had spear headed. As time went on Xemnas may have realized certain nobodies were growing hearts through nurtured connections, but likely didn't seem it relevant as the goal to him was unlocking kingdom hearts.

A few corrections here from what i know the kingdom hearts in tje first game was made the hearts of the worlds the heartless took over, two dying naturally doesn’t make a heartless it just releases the heart, and three that heart is more than just the soul it the concept of being and existence itself so the reason nobodies are called that is because they by all logic of the world should not exist like a color you can’t imagine
Light & Darkness are separate from Good & Evil... Good people can have high amounts of Darkness & Bad people can have high amounts of light. Its just not common.
Ints going to be interesting going forward seeing as Xeanort is finally defeated will this be the end of the symbol heartless that means our fat boi and mage bugs will be gone in the next game or maybe see a greatly reduced number.
As good as doom slayer is taking out demons, heartless themselves are more magical than physical. Several heartless types could overwhelm him or even attempt to change to his pet that died in order to throw him off guard.
@@shadowofdakness It’s a big question of whether demons can actually physically hurt the heartless, and even then the heartless can destroy whatever world their both in if they take too long to be dealt with.
Well good question but I'm going to have to go with the heartless if your talking about an all out war between the two in multiple ways for instance 1: the heartless are more mystical than physical meaning conventional weapons will do little to no damage to them at all while the demons of doom are killed with bullets. 2: the demons of doom have only portals to get in and out of earth and hell but doesn't mean that applies to other worlds they might not know those worlds (except there earth) even exist and the heartless can teleport in and out of worlds so they can under the right ruler can regroup at any time when the battle isn't looking well. 3: the heartless are drawn to the darkness in peoples hearts that includes humans, animals, aliens, and even toys and hell is full of demons which argue all you like but do have hearts which are consumed by darkness so if they try to escape back to hell the heartless will just fallow them their. The only thing that the demons have against them is magic and maybe the tech could help a little but if I be generous the heartless would win 95% of the time.
Yeah I always thought a bit like the same way as in the movies when some hacker or rich person says they could erase your information and make it seem like you never existed. That or like sora becomes a heartless and nobody and they say the person that was sora no longer exists
Its actually more complicated than that, the heart in KH is not the thing you would call a soul in other media its more the concept of you as an existent being even after your mind soul and body are gone your heart will remain so when nobodies lose that they lose the concept of existence itself. They’re like a trying to name a color that doesn’t exist or imagining what a sixth sense would be like, from the logic of the series everything that exist, even world have a heart so anything without it cannot and should not exist.
The Sora/Roxas/Ventus/Kairi/Namine Heartless/Nobody situation is a convoluted and tangled mess. When Sora turned into a heartless they all split off and did weird things before he was eventually recombined.
Vanitas looks like Sora because of the connection between Ventus and Sora hearts, this was confirmed by the devs and he had a different appearance before this. Roxas looks like it also because of that connection and why his heart is capable of duel wielding keyblades is because it was mad from two Keyblade wielders, though it is thought the heart went with him and that is why he is more emotional than the other nobodys. and yes this sort of implies that Roxas is sort of Ventus and Sora's son . Then you have Sora's gender bent clone that absorbed Sora memories(why looks like Kairi) that changed appearance depending on who looked at her(also gender) Kairi heart due to being pure light went nope to becoming a heartless and returned to her body and still made a nobody( where the body came from is ??? and will since as shown with Terra you can separate a person will from their body and heart )
