I bought hair of the dog on 8track in 75. Great album,I turned 16 that year, and man there was a lot of killer rock and roll that year. I miss that time, we could do anything we wanted to. Thanks John and Shannon for the memories. Still here in Tennessee. 😀😎
Gotta love the Scottish accent. John Beaudin -I was born in 1962 in Burnaby BC and like you ,loved Nazareth as they were huge in Canada , did you ever ask how Manny and the band got started? I read Manny's family immigrated from Spain when he was about 14. Thank god they did!! Keep uyp the good work, John Beaudin !!
I was 13 in 86' ,I was visiting my aunt and this album was on,I Loved it so much she gave me her vinyl and it's been a favorite ever since,,Thank you guys, Great interview!
What a great idea for a Nazareth member to be interviewed. It never crossed my mind. So, I enjoy this surprise. I was a huge Nazareth fan during that period!
So sad. Dan died today... My favorite singer of my favorite band, one of the best voices of rock, strong and full of energy and charisma; he couldn't give more to the genre. Goddam it, to love music hurts too. Now he's razamanazzing the Heaven
I had that album pinned up on my wall with thumb tacks. lol. Nazareth was/is one of my all time favorite bands. I would have to say "Close enough for Rock and Roll" is my favorite.
There's a video out there (1982?) of Pete and Dan on the streets of Winnipeg , interviewing some random girls about Xmas lights 😂 Why do you like Winnipeg? We know more people here than anywhere probably, they made us headliners in 1974 booking us for 5 days. It was cold but they paid us well. Probably why they keep coming back to the Peg almost every year.
All KICKASS albums- razamanaz, Rampant, No mean city, Loud and Proud, HOTD, Close enough for rock and roll, Play'n the game. Good albums- 2XS, Expect No Mercy, No Jive, Cinema Not bad- These all gad some great songs on them (and some bad) - The Fool Circle, Big Dogz, Rock and roll telephone, The Newz, Boogaloo,Malice in wonderland Bad- The Catch, sound elixer There are some newer albums that are not bad- not great. They have some good songs and bad The original singer retired in 2015 I thing it was . He got COPD The new singer is Carl Sentence. He also sang for Krokus for awhile. He is good. But no one can sound like Dan McCafferty. They have a new cd coming out soon

The key is that you are still here, in the great Volunteer State of Tennessee!

In '75 was 18 the whole year.
Razzmanazz from late '73 was my intro to Nazareth.
Hair of the Dog...One of the best albums ever recorded from start to finish...Every song Rockin'...I wore the 8 track out...
Was too young to see Nazareth in their hey-day, but got to see them in 2000 as part of a multiband festival. They were awesome
One of the best under raided rock bands ever ! Great show as well 🎼🎸
they had other material and albums that kicked ass before and after 75
Love Nazareth

I loved "Guilty!" 15 years old I thought I got ripped off on my 8 track.... lol but I had the vinyl with Love Hurts so I got the best of both!
Hair of the Dog….. That 8-track tape took a beating my son ! On 10 at that too !
Hair of the dog riff is so similar to Beatles Day Tripper
