The Riddler was basically like that in the Arkham series. Especially Arkham City since he put his victims in trapts similar to Jigsaw, so that's a good take on the Riddler.

Pattinson definitely has done a good job at making the batman like a silent vigilante , the way he walked up made him look very introverted it was cool

I love this line because lady Justice wears a blindfold. I still don't know the riddle but I like the symbolism in those words.

James Gunn directing The Suicide Squad, two DC co-op games that look awesome, the Snyder Cut's actually happening, and now The Batman trailer is blowing everyone away. I think WB's really starting to gain serious momentum against DisMarvel.
Enjoyed Matt Reeves talking about his vision for The Batman but it felt like Gotham the Movie. And then the teaser dropped. Ohhhhh yesss! Rob Pat's just destroy the unlucky thug. I am totally on board for this movie!
The bat ears on the A was a nice touch.
I love how dark they went with this version of "The Batman". They clearly took inspiration from the "Joker" movie to craft this one. Although people tend to think Batman is benevolent and charitable, which he is. He does have a very dark side to him. Where he can push his code of not killing right to the edge and get away with it.
I hope they do include a more vulnerable side to him in this film. I do like how aggressive and brutal this Batman is, to the point where you can feel the rage and anger emanating from him at the injustice in his city, but I want the film to explore his pain and mental state more. At the end of the day, what separates him from his villains is deep down he really does care about innocents and his heart is in the right place, even if his approach is questionable. Judging by the trailer, the Riddler is going to be targeting Batman by going after innocents and putting their deaths on him, which should be interesting to see how he reacts.

I've never been this more excited for a Batman film since Nolan's Dark Knight trilogy. This already looks so impressive!
Part of it is the red, part of it is the tone, part of it is that last shot of a goth looking Pattinson (and if they ever make a Cure biopic Pattinson could easily play Robert Smith)but this trailer gave me strong The Crow vibes.

Love the atmosphere of the trailer. For the first time in live action films, Gotham feels like the actual Gotham and the soundtrack suits the character and setting perfectly. Love how they are also concentrating on " The World's Greatest Detective " aspect.
These Zodiac Fincher vibes are insane, I love Matt Reeves.

The riddler is probably playing everyone in this, Batman, the city and all the other villains.
I feel like that is what they were trying to do in the animated Batman Hush movie, but I think it fell short of expectations. I hope this movie can deliver a Riddler who is a few steps ahead and give Batman and everyone else a real challenge. I have faith that it can.

Also keep in mind that this movie will focus more on the detective part of Batman and the fact that Bruce Wayne is actually the mask, not the other way around.
The Riddler in this is very similar to the Zodiac Killer from the late 60’s earlier 70’s. Zodiac mailed ciphers to the San Francisco Chronicle and SFPD including a Skeleton card to San Francisco Chronicle journalist Paul Avery who was covering the murders. Very cool

The movie is only 30% finished so they made a teaser out of that for dcfandome so that’s why it’s riddler based

i think people will be shocked by robert pattinson’s performance. this will be a great movie. i think maybe the best batman movie yet. this definitely gives me the arkham game vibes. as well as se7en, the crow, and the hush. the way the nirvana music goes into batman’s score. god amazing. i have never been more pumped for a dc movie. can’t wait.

theres a reason why fight club and se7en have only been made once. It’s because they are damn good movies, how many Batman movies are they gonna make until they finally ‘get it right’ this time?
Rorge and Biter I dunno about those movies because I hate them apart from batman. But remakes imo are great total recall and the Italian job are prime examples that updating a story works.
