I don't have a problem with law enforcement. They protect us as best as they can. I'm glad they have methods to catching killers but do I think they prosecute innocent people with these methods? Absolutely. You are guilty until proven innocent in a lot of ways. I've seen in happen. our justice system needs a lot of work still. Too many politics.

At 4:24 the narrator states "Michael sits in his chair, arms folded across his chest.."
Clearly he's sitting in the chair with his hands in his lap and fingers interlaced. His head slightly lowered.

@@fuzzjunky Yep. And in some cases it’s boxes and boxes! My younger brother was charged for a murder he didn’t commit about a decade ago when he was 16, and his brief was about 10-15 cardboard boxes. Fortunately he beat the case at commital and the judge admonished the police for even charging him. What actually happened is that he was a witness and ran up to initially watch a fight, but as he was running up the street the 3 guys ran away instantly, so my brother stopped to help the guy and called the ambulance. But because witnesses saw him run towards the fight, and there was blood on his shoes, they tried to charge him in a bid to get him to tell them who did it, but he didn’t even know the people, which he said from the very start. We were so angry that that happened to him, but we had no legal grounds to sue as technically there was enough evidence to support a charge, and we couldn’t prove that they were just putting pressure on him.

No matter if its meth, heroin or whatever, if a long-term-addict takes his normal daily dose he is as sober as can be, not "under the influence". If he would be like really sober, then he would be under the influence of withdrawal, which can have similar effects from a sanity standpoint.

Ok but after a certain amount of time you're just two dudes sitting in a room holding hands. This is ridiculous 😂 it's like it's his first day and hes using every step from the interrogation handbook.
    1. Lessen the crime/ give them an out "was it an accident?"
    2. Mimic body language
    3. "You're gonna feel so much better if you just tell me what happened."
    4. Give the family closure
    5. Offer water or food or cigarette
    6. Remind him hes doing the right thing by confessing.
    7. Move around the desk so theres nothing in between you and the suspect lol he even says "no desk between us."
    8. Offer to talk to the judge or DA
    9. "We already know, I just need to hear you say it."
    10. Make physical contact I have no clue why he held that man's hand for so long 😂😂 I felt like I was intruding on their moment.

Wow you guys are really uninformed. These days, the forensics prove EVERYTHING probably 99 percent of the time. When a criminal is straight forward and tells the detective the truth, a lot of the time that could work out really well for them. Even if they have to face a life in prison, things can be done to make that as "easy" as possible on them. If they decide to lie the entire way and think they are going to trick everyone including a jury, then if they do end up in prison, no one is going to do them any favors.
I agree that these guys should have the lawyer present, but the miranda rights are always read before the interrogation starts and they usually fall on deaf ears.

"She would receive *only* 9 years for her part in the crime."
9 years seems like a perfectly fair sentence in this case, maybe even a little excessive. She had no part in the murder, she only assisted in the disposal of the victim's body and that's because the murderer was her own dad.
Also, it's really hypocritical to criticize someone for not turning in their own parent for murder while at the same time recommending that cold-blooded killers shouldn't talk to the police, they shouldn't confess and take responsibility for their actions, they should just immediately ask for a lawyer who will help them try to escape punishment

If I has a daughter and I felt or saw malice against my daughter I'd wait for her to get out of the restroom then leave with her and he pointed a gun at me I'd don't the same thing... but after the shooting he should have called the cops.
