    As someone who admittedly really hates all the hassle of self care, I must say that Andis cordless foil shaver is a quick 2 minute process. Especially if you dont wait more than 2 days between shaves. I just do it right out the shower. Highly reccomend it to anybody looking for something quick, safe, easy and very efficient at leaving you silky smooth! I kinda catch myself rubbing it against my head alot more than I need to since its actually pretty therapeutic lol.

    I've shaved my head for over 20 years. There are a lot of options... but only one that works really well. It's a wet shave using moisturizing lotion instead of shaving cream. First shave with the grain nice and easy. Then apply a little more lotion and shave against the grain. Takes only about 3 minutes and provides a perfect smooth shave with no stubble and the lotion makes no rash or burn. It works every time. I've tried all the methods and I'v spent thousands on clippers and shavers. Nothing works as quickly or as good.

    My SMP artist warned me not to use a blade as it takes the top layer of skin off and ends up fading the SMP. He said that using clippers or beard trimmers without a guard is the best way for SMP longevity.

      O don’t think it’s true I’m an smp artist in Florida. I have smp done and I used razors all the time but also use trimmers. Your smp will fade eventually so I recommend my clients to keep the head out of the sun, use hats always when sunny days . Also I recommend to do a touch up session every 4 to 5 years to keep it natural.

      @@mattmarkus4868 one could argue that its not that much more insane than doing it on your head?? i mean there are people who get tattoos on their faces, have gauges in their ears, and split their tongue in half. I would say getting micro pigmentation on your face for beard stubble is mild in comparison to those other things. People even go under the knife and have their faces reconstructed. a little stubble on the face isnt that insane.

    If you still have some natural hair on top which one would you use? ( I have not had the procedure done yet)

    • @Scalpmicrousa
      @Scalpmicrousa  6 лет назад +1

      CelestialWoodway go with a Wahl or Oster clipper that has an adjustable lever to control how short or long to cut

    • @michaelnewton1754
      @michaelnewton1754 5 лет назад +1

      I find the Wahl Designer adjusted to the minimum is still a bit too long still, and the Wahl Balding Clippers (set blade) to be a touch too short... Takes about 24-36 hours to get the ideal length stubble after using the balding blade... But it's entirely up to you.
      I have hardly any recession, but lots of diffuse thinning on top... So everywhere I have SMP done, I still have hair, but it's thinner. This means that I can let it grow for even a week or so without it becoming obvious.
      However, if you get SMP outside of the areas where you still have hair, you'll look like a maniac if you let your hair go for more than 4 days

  • @kc4ril
    @kc4ril 6 лет назад +7

    Nice vid, but I worry that using a wet razor would actually make the sides and back look shorter then the areas that have SMP.
    I'd also worry that using clippers could cause those areas to look slightly longer, are those valid concerns?
    I haven't had SMP yet, but I'm strongly considering it.

    • @mikecain1067
      @mikecain1067 6 лет назад +1

      kc4ril neither of those concerns are valid

    • @mikecain1067

    • @kc4ril
      @kc4ril 6 лет назад +2

      Glad I'm not the only one. I'm also confused because some guys with smp have a look like the every day and other guys look like they have 3-4 days of stubble and i can't understand why exactly. Obviously i prefer the 3-4 days of stubble look!

  • @huzlfinance

    Can anyone answer this for me? Will wet shaving increase the speed of fading of smp or not?

    • @Scalpmicrousa
      @Scalpmicrousa  5 лет назад +6

      Once the treatment is fully healed wet shaving should not impact the longevity of treatment. Pigment is placed beneath the epidermis, into the top layer of the dermis. Any exfoliation or shedding of skin tends to happen superficially on the epidermis and wont impact pigment placed beneath it
