    Not sure if you’re still responding to comments but what did you do for sound? Is it just the camera placement?

    • @TROdesigns

      This is just a GoPro mounted on the tank with an open airbox lol. I'd recommend a foam wind blocking cover.

    Nice video! If everything goes according to plan I should be getting one tomorrow. One from year 2000, any advice or tips? Thanks in advance

    • @TROdesigns
      @TROdesigns  6 лет назад +4

      StriplingJr thanks for the comment!
      Some Ducati specific things to check:
      Oil leaks around the base gasket (where the finned cylinders meet the crankcase)
      Ask the guy if he's kept up with the valve adjustments and timing belt replacements - these are the 2 main pain in the asses with these bikes.
      The front rims tend to be pretty beat up on these bikes for some reason, def check for dents or damage.
      Good luck man, and if it doesn't work out, there's always the Suzuki SV650 :-)

      are you by chance buying the one in Denver that needs a new gas tank

    • @StriplingJr
      @StriplingJr 6 лет назад +1

      teagueO Excellent information!.. now that I'm looking closer at the pictures of it there definitely seems to be some sort of leak falling onto the exhaust pipe. Also after seeing some reviews about the bike supposedly the front shocks are a bit stiff so I will checks the front rim for sure.

      logan sigmon I'm actually supposed to be getting this one on sale here in California around the Bay Area

      StriplingJr ah I'm looking at 2000 Ducati monster 750 in Denver it's only 1600 but it has a pinhole in the tank so I either need to fix that or get a new tank although I've spent all day searching and can't find a new tank anywhere

    what year? before 2002 since it has carbs obviously haha

    • @TROdesigns
      @TROdesigns  9 лет назад +1

      DavesMotorCars Yep, it's a '99 with Keihin FCR's on it. You got some badass cars on your channel bro!

    • @DavesMotorCars
      @DavesMotorCars 9 лет назад +2

      ***** Thanks man! How you like the bike, I very very close to buying a 2002 M750

    • @TROdesigns
      @TROdesigns  9 лет назад +1

      DavesMotorCars It's no rocketship, but super fun to ride man. The bikes with FI sometimes require throttle body syncing and other things you don't have to worry about with carbs. On an '02 you'll also have 2 brake calipers up front vs the one I have. I'd go for it!

  • @justin123560
    @justin123560 9 лет назад +1

    Are the FCRs worth it?

    • @TROdesigns
      @TROdesigns  9 лет назад

      Justin Paalisbo They add a shit ton of character to the bike. The thing will sound ridiculous - the induction roar gets way louder and it whistles as you roll the throttle on. Throttle response is really quick and it's smooth as hell - it will still idle at

  • @gabriel1812

    why do you stab the throttle when downshifting? is that so cars can hear you approaching?

    • @TROdesigns
      @TROdesigns  6 лет назад +2

      Exactly - to alert cars but also when rev-matching since the engine is slow to rev
