A niche is just a sub category or a particular focus you have. Example, if you're doing streetwear for men but want to focus on the "Big & Tall" market then "Big & Tall" would be your niche, mens is your category. Naturally you want to evolve from a clothing line to being a brand. As you expand and increase your line and exposure you will become that.
