There is a lot of back and fourth about how good these places are state-to-state in the US. I find that in Saskatchewan, Canada, they tend to have the stuff shown.
That clear craft glue next to the tacky glue is just *chef’s kiss*. It’s very similar to the glue you get that’s labeled as silicone glue in miniature room builds you can buy off Amazon, and it bonds very well and can support some slightly heavier wooden framing! It’s got a very thick consistency and is very stretchy (think of how a glue gun spider webs when first applied), which could be used for some fun textures!
5:20 See those little bottles? I bought some recently and they're great for building robots with. I'm also gonna try to use them for tank turrets. They're very cool. Great video. Thank you for sharing and God bless you and your endeavors.
I can definitely recommend the craft knife, but be aware that it does NOT come with a case or container for it or the blades, and the screw piece that holds the blade sometimes has a tendency to loosen itself on the fitting. However, these blades do work really well in exacto knife handles, or Army Painter's craft knife handles, so if you have another knife already but don't want to go through the hassle of trying to figure out exactly which refill blades to buy, this is a great and cost effective set. The different blade shapes are really useful too. Also keep an eye out for Apple Barrel and Craft Smart 2 oz bottles of paint! Also note that you can sometimes purchase a wide range of things from the dollar tree website that might not be in your local store!
Ive used those horses to make a horse-drawn cart and used one with the legs and head cut off to make a carcass routissere over a campfire in a huntling cabin, the wooden dowels can be pointed easily with a pencil sharpener for fort walls or pit traps too
Really like this. I get craft stuff from DT, all the time. I really hope this shows anybody who's worried it'll be expensive to get into crafting just how affordable it really can be. Nice one
Having just moved back to Michigan from Seattle, I can tell you that Dollar Trees vary widely from one place to the next. They were all fairly useless in the Seattle area, but back in Metro Detroit they're all pretty much like the one in this video!
Excellent crafting tips, thank you. You missed a wrestler, as you were says there were no wrestlers your camera showed a Bron Stroman mini figure, I think he was flexing hahaha.
Wow! My Dollar Tree stores aren't even remotely stocked as well as yours is!! Part of me is jealous and the other part of me is thinking how much $ I'm saving..LOL Just watching your walkthrough I kept saying, yeah some of those, 2 of those, maybe 3 of those and one of each color... Haha Thanks for the video!
@@wargamesgeek1334 This is a particularly good one, the ones near me didnt have the foam board or such a nice selection of superglue or the craft paint.
@@VorpalDerringer we were on vacation in Kissimmee Fl, and found a dollar tree store, it wasn’t as good as this, but had a few decent bits and pieces 👍
Hey! I wanted to thank you for showing some items I missed and to look out for at the store! My dollar store is small and is getting weak on replenishment and variety. I have found alot of things at 2 other larger stores, that I have just discovered!
I get the Sully and Randall from Monsters Inc. to convert into Yetis (Sully) and Basilisk (Randall) miniatures. Put them onto a Large (2") base, prime, paint, and you are good to go.
It's interesting to see what is a good deal at $T and what is actually a better value at other places. Like, $1 Reddiboard is better for crafting than "nicer" foam board, but a huge bag of sand at Lowe's/Home Despot is way cheaper than buying it at $T...
Same here in Spain. Our counterparts are piss poor, and all are focused on cheap clothes, storage containers, and daily use electronics or cheap tools. The perception of the average american dollar stores makes me jealous as heck.
@@Blazinter Meanwhile here in the States I'm super jealous of Canada, because their Dollarama stores seems amazing. Watch some (older) Black Magic Craft videos and you'll see what I mean!

Your dollar tree has much more craft stuff than my local one does.
Mine recently made a huge craft section upgrade. Hopefully the ones in your area will get one soon as well.

Awesome. Thank you for that great tip.
The bronze statues are brilliant!
Dollar store can't beat it for terrain building 😎 Yes thanks for the flying tip
You're welcome 😊
Your content is so reassuring.
It really is great
Great Items I already have many we think alike lol take care.
Love the dollar tree!!

Wow! What a well stocked Dollar Tree!
UK stores are really poor in comparison to this
I wish my Dollar Tree had those colored gems lol. I really need to check out those toys now.
I hope you find a full and well stocked dollar store. 😎

I was just there buying about half of those things early today. This is exactly where to start the hobby

I really enjoy your videos. Keep up the great work!
You are so positive and encouraging. Thank you sir.
great video tons of great tips
I have a glue gun and three paints (Artskills crafter's closet) my parents got me from a Dollar General a while back.

Good eye. 👍
Thanks for the great tips brother!

Possible fun challenge: Taking a goofy toy that doesn't quite fit with terrain building and making something with it, like a Mickey Mouse toy
We have something similar here in México and it's called "Parisina"...Damn I love that place. I can never go inside and not buy something
Thank you so much for sharing
You are very welcome.
I have used the acrylic paint from Dollar Tree. It has a semi gross finish. It does have good coverage.
Thank you for that great tip.
SO GLAD WHEN I FIND SMALLER CHANNELS...My dollar tree looks nothing like that craft dept..

@@brokenterrain Great idea! I'll have to pick one up now and give it a try after you do a video on it... hint, hint
I picked up a Randall and I'm planning on making him into some kind of sleezy alien crime lord or something for Stargrave.
Great to see! Question for you. Where did you find the box of skeletons at the beginning of the video?
Dollar general around Halloween time I got those.
Dragonmk is correct.
My local Dollar Tree needs to step up! They have 1/10 of what you showed.

Have you seen our Final Faction videos?
